Valentine's Day did not go as planned for us this year. A major plumbing issue in our basement…read morebathroom caused the toilet to fill to the rim with debris and waste -- truly a nightmare situation. With it being a holiday weekend, most plumbers either weren't available or wanted nearly $300 just to show up without even guaranteeing any work. After calling around, we were referred to Ironside Plumbing & Heating, and I'm incredibly grateful we were. The technician arrived promptly, was professional from the moment he walked in, and immediately assessed the problem. He explained everything clearly, got right to work, and was able to snake the sewer line to clear the blockage. Considering the urgency and the holiday weekend, the price -- around $400 -- was more than fair, especially compared to what others were quoting. What stood out most was his professionalism, courtesy, and genuine expertise. He turned a stressful, disgusting, and time‑sensitive situation into something manageable, and we couldn't be more appreciative. We are extremely pleased with the service we received and would highly recommend Ironside Plumbing & Heating to anyone in need of reliable, honest, and skilled plumbing work.

They came out promptly, which was good, but their man didn't even care to look at my old faucet, and replaced it with a "multi-turn faucet", probably because it was the one he had in the truck. It's a real aggravation to turn on the water now, and the thought of Ellis leaves a sour taste in my mouth each time I have to turn the knob eight times instead of just a quarter-turn to get a decent flow of water.

I have used Albert Ellis three times this year for work on my 116 year old house in Moorestown…read more Each time, they responded as scheduled, performed the work quickly, and cleaned the work area thoroughly before leaving. They are a rarity among tradespeople these days, both in their reliability and in the quality of their work. Their charges are not unreasonable, and are never a surprise. They bill time by the hour, and always work quickly. This year, we hired Ellis to replace the drain in our 80 - 90 year old basement utility sink, which they did to a high standard. For the first time, we now actually have a clean-out in the line, which is very important. Also, we had them replace our 20 year old hot water heater, which, while still working, was doing so on "borrowed time." The new unit was quickly installed even though I had them switch the gas exhaust from an old, oversized chimney to a direct through-the-wall exhaust. They acquired the permit from the Township, and the inspector told me that the job was perfect in terms of code compliance. We are fortunate to have had Albert Ellis here in Moorestown for more than a century, and even more fortunate that the current generation continues to pride itself on its competence, integrity, and professionalism.

George and his team worked with me to diagnose the problem and presented multiple options to get it working again and didn't push me at all. It wasn't until I asked if replacing the old unit would be a better plan in the long run that they even tried to sell me on it. They quoted me multiple fair prices for the various options, researched parts for my very old unit, and in the end quoted me an excellent price for a brand new top of the line 50 gallon Bradford White unit. Once I decided on how I want to move forward, they had a crew at my house in less than 24 hours and did the job quickly and extremely well. They even cleaned up so well afterward that the only sign anyone had been here was the new unit itself. They also were perfectly happy to speak to my home warranty company and help me get my claim finalized. I cannot say enough good things about George Coulter Plumbing. They'll be my go to plumber for all my needs from now on. They've made a lifetime customer out of me :-)
