My mother was having problems with the waste line from the washing machine. I am an out of state contractor, but was able to work with the friendly customer support person to arrange for a service technician. I made them aware of pets in the house. The technician arrived a couple of days earlier than the appointment date and efficiently snaked the drain. Mom was able to do the wash that day and they did not try to take advantage of her price wise. The technician was friendly and professional. We have dealt with these guys in the past and would recommend them to anyone in the future. read more

Jason was fantastic. We went on vacation just to come home to our water heater pilot light no longer working. He came out that day, gave us a quote and made recommendations. He came back that very week and installed a new system. He was sure to send us pictures and a breakdown of the work that was done. Amazing communication and great customer service. read more

FRAUD - If zero stars were possible, that's what I would choose. We replaced our 18-year-old HVAC system with a 2-ton Rheem unit from Hutchinson Heating & Cooling in early August, based on a family recommendation. From day one, the system has been a nightmare. Our home now has indoor humidity between 60-80% day and night. Hutchinson sent six different technicians, all of whom admitted the original crew failed to properly seal and insulate the ductwork. Still, the problem persists. Their "solution" was to tell us to run a dehumidifier 24/7 (which only spiked our electric bill) or to pay another $2,500 for a "band-aid" dehumidifier that wasn't guaranteed to work. Managers Matt and George gave us the runaround, promised callbacks that never came, and pushed blame onto our home's construction--even calling it an "anomaly." When we formally requested they remove the system and issue a refund, we were told no, despite their 5-Star Guarantee which states: "If you are dissatisfied with the performance of the equipment, our service, our people or for any reason, we will do whatever it takes to make it right and correct the problem to your satisfaction... or you don't pay." We've now spent a month chasing managers and customer service reps who repeatedly fail to follow through. Even after filing a BBB complaint, we were strung along and ignored. Meanwhile, our electric bill has jumped $150, my parents still haven't received their promised $200 referral credit, and most importantly--we're living with unsafe conditions. Our home is 72°F with 80% humidity (higher than outside!), and mold thrives at those levels. We have two small children in the house, and Hutchinson has shown zero concern for their health or safety. This system has made our home less comfortable and less safe than our old unit. Hutchinson has refused to honor their own guarantee, accept accountability, or provide a resolution. Save yourself the stress, money, and health risks--avoid Hutchinson Heating & Cooling at all costs. read more

DO NOT HIRE. Consistently inconsistent on quality of work and they can't be trusted. I was customer for last 15 years as they managed HVAC units at my shore house. Over that time they have replaced my units multiple times Which was likey not necessary. The most recent experience was last weekend (June 2026) when On friday a tech installed ordered parts and claimed system was fine. The next day it failed and a second tech came out and told us an entire new system was required. Then basically held my 85 year old father hostage until he wrote $1000 check temp Freon. for apparently this company pays their techs commission on what they sell. Criminals and completely untrustworthy. I called to speak with management 3 times with no call back. read more

These people installed the wall-mounted heating system two years ago and I've had a drip/leak coming from the system since day one. They do not know what they're doing. They have incompetent staff members in their office that could give less of a crap about your problems. Be smart don't use this company. They're a fucking disaster. read more

I needed a part replaced in my heater. The guy gave me a quote of $1,000 for labor, as the part(s) were covered. That seemed high, but labor rates are high now, so I figured it was maybe an involved repair of 4-5 hours, at $200-$250 an hour, which would not have shocked me. He was done in less than an hour. So I was basically charged $1,000/hr labor. Which is disgraceful. I have used them in the past and found them fair, but at this point, don't plan to use them again. This is borderline theft to me. read more

I have been with this company for over 10 years, giving the contracts on two houses and the business of installing two new air conditioning units. It has becoming increasingly clear that they are not staffed for their customers or trying to take on more customers than their capacity for revenue--we are unable to schedule annual appointments that are included with our contracts more than 3 months ahead. When I took the chance to schedule a plumbing service with them, they called and told me that they cannot keep the appointment in the morning of the service appointment, leaving me in limb to find somebody else. This is probably the end to this customer-business relationship. read more

Three years ago Hutchinson Air Conditioning Heating, Plumbing installed a Lennox HVAC System in my home, which the installer technician did a great job. However, the technician sold me an extended warranty that would cover the repair cost for ten years but does not include labor cost and tax. Three years later the company is refusing to honor such agreemen. Needless to say the actual HVAC Unit was never registered with Lennox which would have been a 5 year warranty covering the unit parts an addition to Huntingson 10 years Extended warranty. Since the unit was never registered with Lennox it immediately disqualified my chances of using another company to complete the repair and save me on parts cost. An addition to this ruckus, the entire weekend staff remain oblious to the clerical error committed. I was transfered over 4 times to different Representative each stated they were unable to provide any answer i would have to wait until Monday. I will not disclose the name of a male and a female Representative who were very unprofessional. This is an over price company who does not exhibit high value service. read more

This is not the same company that installed my new heater and my new air conditioner a few years ago. SERVICE IS NOT IN THEIR DICTIONARY. I have had a service contract with them for over a decade and will not renew. The air conditioning tuneup was a joke when they sent me a $1000 estimate on needed cleaning that a $20 can at Home Depot sold to remove the dirt. Worked fine without them servicing this past summer. They make up some replaceable part or necessary service so they charge you additional. It is now February and I called back in September for a heater tuneup. I can't wait to hear what unnecessary part my three year old heater needs. read more

Called for a battery change. Customer service said no charge. Technician said 89.00 for service call 11.00 for the battery . I paid $15,000. For this system (heat pump) two years ago. Now you want to scam another 100.00 dollars. Wow read more

The service was excellent and very professional. They got me a new Kohler bathroom sink and new faucets plus installation. They did a terrific job installing the sink upstairs. The total price was very reasonable plus a military discount. I will never use a different plumber in the future. Hutchinson is the greatest. read more

Had them install a new furnace and water heater in our house a couple years ago. The furnace had a gas leak right after the installation, then multiple more over the following weeks. The technicians that did the installation were rude and didn't even turn the water heater on, they just left in a rush with gas leaking from the newly installed furnace. When I called them for help, they offered a $50 gift card, nothing else. It's been a couple of years but every time I see that furnace I'm reminded to write a review to warn others of this, finally got around to it. Haven't used them since. read more

We had a really great experience with our team. Our a/c went out during a heat wave. We reached out to Hutchinson at 1am and they were there the next morning to help us with a quote, and had the whole system replaced essentially next day. The installers were very professional, arrived at 7:30 am and were done by 3. They left the house as clean as when they arrived, and their team explained all the changes and how to use the new system. The quote we received was what we were charged. read more

We are so disappointed with Hutchinson. We have had a contract with them for years. The past two times we had service scheduled for our heating/air conditioning they have canceled on us the day they were supposed to come. Why should we bother to schedule if it doesn't matter? This the worst choice you can make for your HVAC issues. Once they have their money, there is no follow through if you have problems. Their customer service is out-sourced, so you can't actually get in touch with anyone at Hutchinson. They left debris on my neighbor's property too heavy for me to lift. My neighbor is angry. So am I, because repeated calls to customer service have not been returned. Do yourself a favor: Don't hire Hutchinson. read more

Mixed bag of technicians. Some are very good other not so. Lately we have had more not so good. Today had the air conditioning serviced as we always do. Everytime they service our system, they push something else to buy, ( often it is not needed) more like salesman then technicians. Maybe they have quotas? When the technician left after serving the air conditioning, our heater stopped working . The heater is now turning the air conditioning on. Don't know what he did but something not right. Like to this is unusual, but it's happened before where the technician leaves and we have issues with the system. ( at least 3 times) My husband can fix it, as he was in the service industry, but it is very annoying especially when you paying for it. We have been long time customers and they were excellent years ago, but the past few years, not so good. We will be looking at other companies. read more

I have a service contract with this company to service our HVAC system twice a year. When I call to make an appointment it takes 2-3 months to get one. Then on the date of the appointment there is always a call that they are overwhelmed with emergencies and have to reschedule - usually about another month later. This is a ridicules way to run a company. Getting our air conditioner serviced at the end of July is NOT convenient. YOUR advertisement reads in part... -Deliver what we promise -Arrive on time or before promised -Never say "can't" This has happened now for the last several years and when I ask to speak to a MANAGER, the response is "there is no manager". AMAZING! DO YOU EVER CONSIDER HIRING MORE PEOPLE TO ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO "DELIVER WHAT YOU PROMISE, AND ARRIVE ON TIME OR BEFORE PROMISED" I have to say the techs that do come out are wonderful. We have never had a problem with any of them. While on the phone with them, I now just scheduled an appointment for our heater to be serviced before the cold weather returns. First Appointment - October 3. Hope they can keep it! read more

Hutchinson installed my high efficiency furnace, a/c unit and hot water heater about 10 years ago. i have had an annual service contract with them since then. They come out every 6 months for routine checks so no other company has touched the equipment since it was installed. at the last service check a few weeks ago the technician told me that the seal around the flue pipe wasn't proper and it was leaking. he showed me a picture of a red sealant around the joint that was pvc pipe. he quoted me a price of $500 to repair it that i agreed to. it took him about 20 minutes to replace a 6 inch piece of pvc pipe. over the next week the amount that i paid wasn't sitting right with me for what had to be done especially since Hutchinson had done the install and therefore they didn't do it right the first time. I called them last week and explained all of the above and asked for a call back that never happened. from dealing with them thru the years i think their techs are incentivized to sell products or expensive repairs. they tried many times to install an ultraviolet air cleaner even though i already have a carrier air cleaner. They are Hutchinson in name only. I looked them up and they are owned by a private equity company that seems to specialize in buying family owned plumbing and hvac businesses. So buyer beware before you let them in your house. as for the hot water install the young plumber used a piece of scrap pipe for the hot water return. fortunately i went to the basement a few hours later and it was leaking because it wasn't soldered correctly. I turned off the water supply and the on call experienced plumber had to come out that evening and redo it and took back the scrap pipe to show his supervisor. other issues with Hutchinson include the time one of their technicians foot went through the attic floor and put a hole in the 2nd floor ceiling. Accidents happen and i was glad he wasn't injured. i contacted Hutchinson and they agreed to cover the cost of the repair. I got a quote and sent it to them and they approved it and i paid the contractor to do it. The problem was getting them to pay me back. They are strictly COD when they come out, but it took many many calls to get them to pay me. Either they were in a meeting or gone for the day and even thought i left messages it took at least 6 or more tries to get them to pay me when they realized i wasn't going away. then there was the issue with the pressure booster we have for our sprinkler system. it started to leak and was still under warranty. Hutchinson took it out and said they would take care of sending it back to the company for a replacement. I called a few times over the next several months and couldn't get an answer as to the status of the replacement. as a result i couldn't open my sprinkler system for the season and the plants and grass were not looking good. Finally i called the Slimer company myself to check on the status and Hutchinson had never sent it back to them. After that both Slimer and myself had to make multiple calls to Hutchinson to find out where it was. In the meantime the Slimer company was kind enough to send out a replacement. read more

Company sent out a flyer advertising a $79.00 AC tune-up that also comes with up to 1 lb. of refrigerant free with service. We needed 1 lb. 10 oz. of refrigerant added and were THEN told that there is a 2 lb. minimum charge for the refrigerant and we basically needed 3 lbs. added to receive the promotion. The coupon says NOTHING about this minimum anywhere. I will post to coupon below. This coupon was sent to hundreds, if not thousands of people who might fall into the same deception as we did. It is really a shame that regular people who need AC repairs in the summer are scammed this way. All they will offer you if you call and explain the frustration is $87.00 back, which is a drop in the bucket of what the total charges were. Especially when the coupon is a flat out lie! read more

Hutchinson - Plumbing Near Me - Cherry Hill, New Jersey

I moved into my home two years ago. I contracted Hutchinson to a service agreement each time within the last two years for both summer and winter It took me 2 1/2 months to get an appointment each and every time one day from the scheduled appointment Hutchinson would call and cancel the appointment stating that all their techs would be on emergency services each time I had to reschedule. The last time on June 7, 2025 I had an appointment at 10:30 in the morning. Hutchinson called me the day before and appointment stating the same reasons that their were all on emergency services, they offered to come out the next week. I told them that I work and could not be available. I told them that I am fed up with their business practices. That they have your money for the Service contracts, then accept additional work as a claim emergencies to get more business/money for their company. I asked them why they do not honor their commitment to an appointment that was made to 2 1/2 months prior. They did not have an acceptable answer. I would not recommend anyone purchasing a service plan from Hutchinson heating and air conditioning as I am sure this will happen to you also! read more

It seemed like a conveniently good concept at the time so I booked a service request on their website with the EZ Book portal. I've moved on to a more dependable HVAC contractor that uses human telephone reps. read more

Worst of the worst. They are nothing but money grabbers. They don't back their work up even though they say they do. Condensation line off the pump they installed ran across my basement which is way to long causing the line to clog. Instead of making a shorter run with line they want me to purchase their UV light system for $1,100 dollars. So even though I have a contract for service, they are not going into the basement due to mold they created by running the line to long. Only way they go in is if I purchase the UV system. Goodbye Hutchinson, Hello PSE&G for a service contract. read more

We started using this Company after we got tired of local companies providing less than great service. One local company disassembled our heater during a service call, left it in pieces on our basement floor in the middle of winter and left without saying a word about it. As the temperature in the house dropped, I went in the basement and was floored by what I saw. We called Hutchinson then and they came out with electric space heaters to keep us warm. Their service has been consistently great, their workers have excellent manners, are respectable, knowledgable and do a good job. They're not the cheapest, but as the old adage goes, "You get what you pay for." read more

Beware of Hutchinson they only have one goal is to tell you your system is no good and make the money to install a new one I thought I'd give them a try since I know one of the sales executives my air-conditioning was blowing warm they came out I told them I believe the Freon was low they checked it and agreed they put 11/2 pounds of Freon in my system and charged me $500 totally ridiculous please get recommendations from small mom and pop heating and air-conditioning companies before you do any business with this company I have been told by my friend their number one goal is to sell you new equipment shame on them!! Yelp still has me listed in Brooklyn but I have lived in Philly for 3 years and am a homeowner in Northern Liberties. I called Hutchinson to make an appointment to have a new tub, sink and toilet installed. I was pleased to get an appointment with a technician for the next day between 12 and 4. I took a day off work and I waited until 2 and then thought I would call to see if they had any better idea when they would arrive. The said that they did have a record of the appointment being made but that they didn't serve my zip code. I lost a full day's pay. They never thought to even give a call or text or an email to let me know that they had made a mistake and they would not be able to come. I would never have known if I didn't call. I wish I could give them Zero stars for not giving a damn that I lost a day's pay and wasted hours waiting for someone who never had any intention of coming at all. I suppose I should be thankful because had I contracted them to do the work, I would bet that their selfish, slipshod attitude would have cost me many times a day's pay. If I were you I would stay away from these people. BTW the people answering the phones were very nice and none of this applies to them. The seemed to care and did what they could. read more

I am a former Campbell Comfort customer. Hutchinson bought out Campbell and I still have a heater warranty that I paid for which included heater and A/C tune up. I was contacted by a customer service representative on March 2nd to make an appointment for the tuneup which is prepaid. I made the appointment for 3/20/23. I just received a phone call today from another Hutchinson representative telling me that the tune up is not covered because I already met my quota for the year and it would cost me $80 for a tune up not to mention the cost of the polarized air filters which are $200. I had to turn off my heater because the filter is now unusable and I can't afford to buy the filters. I informed the representative of this and was told there was nothing they could do. read more

I have a service contract with Hutchinson and they've been OK with those services, so I thought I'd give them a try when my 15-year old Rinnai tankless hot water heater wouldn't work. The technician blamed the problem on rust on top of the unit and cleaned out the ignition chamber, but after he left the hot water heater still wouldn't ignite. I called another company that actually had technicians trained by Rinnai, and they identified the problem as a faulty sensor-igniter unit. He cleaned it off (which made it work OK) but because of the age of the unit I decided to get a new sensor-igniter unit on a second trip. It's been working flawlessly. The biggest problem has been (1) getting them to admit that they really know nothing about Rinnai tankless water heaters, and (2) getting a followup call from their customer service dept. Even though I've given them my cell phone countless times and begged them to put it into their system, they kept calling me on my landline (which, like everyone else for the last 20 years, I never answer). I kept leaving messages with my cell, they kept calling me on my landline. This went on for 4 weeks! I hate it when companies *just*don't*listen! read more

I scheduled an estimate for a minor plumbing repair. The entire job was replacing a utility faucet and adding shutoff values to the hot and cold water lines leading to it. Their estimate was almost $800. After writing up the estimate, I was informed that I owed $110 for a dispatch fee and fuel charge which I was never informed of when I scheduled the estimate and was told this was a standard fee. Had I been made aware of this charge, I would have not even scheduled it. This company has very poor business practices. Their claim that this is a standard fee is absurd. I've had upwards of 30 contractors come through my house giving me estimates on all manner of work over the past few months. Hutchinson is the only one to charge me for an estimate. Not only will I NEVER hire this company, but I will also tell everyone that asks not to use them. Don't walk, run away from this company. read more

Dangerous drivers and lack of concern on the part of the business indicate that these are probably not the kind of people you want in your house. On Tuesday, March 26 at 5:45 pm I was waiting at the entrance to the exit ramp from Crescent Blvd around Gloucester City to 76/295 when someone in a Hutchinson work van nearly hit the front, passenger side of my car in an apparent attempt to wedge in. He hit my car with his side-view mirror, stopped in the middle of the ramp to re-adjust his side-view mirror (which enabled me to see this he's a white man, baldish, with a significant brown beard) then get in his van and barreled up the shoulder of the exit ramp. I called Hutchinson's service number and was assured that they take this kind of thing seriously and someone would call me back. I have not heard back from them. Terrible experience from top to bottom would give them zero stars if I could. We called them out through our insurance company for water in our basement on December 29th. They committed to having someone come out by the 30th. On the 30th halfway through our scheduled appointment time they cancelled and rescheduled for the 31st. Again on the 31st they delayed our appointment from a morning appointment to a late afternoon appointment only to be pushed again to January 2nd based on the holiday. The technician finally showed up on January 2nd an hour after our designated window ended to fix what wound up being a Hot Water Heater and sub-pump issue. They charged a premium for the work and did not apologize for the delays and cancellations. Several hours after the work was completed we noticed a foul smell in our basement. We chalked it up to epoxy and other materials they used for the sub pump. We left town early on the January 3rd. When we return on January 5th our entire house smelled like natural gas so much so that my husband's eyes started watering. We immediately called the gas company who found the issue to be with the hot water heater repair. When we called to let Hutchinson know and have them come back out to finalize the repair, they all but refused. My husband explained the issue showed them back up and mentioned we no longer had the ability to turn our hot water heater on until they fixed it. They still refused to send anyone out to us until January 7th. Through a series of cancellations and sending out Techs that either did not have the right parts or expertise we still had not had a fix as of the morning of January 11th. They assured us we were going to have a fix by the end of the day but once again cancelled our afternoon appointment. We have two kids under 3 who we have been carting around to relative's houses to bathe, not to mention the extremely dangerous gas leak they created and they have shown no care or urgency. They continued to promise to send people out only to delay or cancel. Still with no resolution or call back on the 11th we disputed the charge on our credit card for services not completed. About an hour after we filed the dispute we received an EMAIL (which they had never used in the past to alert us of service appointments) saying they were sending a tech to us ASAP. At this point we were on our way to stay with family so our young children could bathe comfortably and get to bed at a reasonable hour. Their negligence could have killed my family and they could care less. I will never use them again and discourage family and friends from using them in the future. read more
