They even swept up after themselves when they were done. I mentioned to Shawn about not leaving the doors open to keep the cat from running out and he incorporated my concerns into his kick off huddle with his team before they started. It's worth noting that I previously had a Lowes contractor give me a price for a generator install. Not only did the local Lowes contractor tell some fibs about what was required because of the Michigan Building Code (which I rebutted because I know the code and I offered a copy for him to show me the section right on the spot ) I was offered a lesser quality Generac generator (even after I told him I wanted Kohler) and a small limited circuit manual transfer switch. Nevertheless I sent him on his way and called Shawn. I have never looked back. Not only was Shawn's price reasonable he was lower than the other contractor and I got what I wanted to which was a Koehler generator and whole house automatic transfer switch so I didn't have to pick and choose what I wanted on the panel I am a contractor so I know the system. I highly recommend you call gen pro and talk with Shawn

When I have spoke to Jimmy and for him to come out and explain how much I would save and how much I could reduce the mean energy company from getting my money was worth the effort. To have him look at what the other companies were trying to sell me and being honest on what i should get this made tons of sense. I just can't wait to have them install my new panels and start to take control of my energy cost. I'm looking forward to see what the future holds. I would highly recommend them any day of the week. I will update once everything is done. So second update. The panels were installed on September 30th and it looks great. Jimmy texted me to let me know what time I should expect the installers to show up. He even informed me that he would show up him self a little bit latter in the day to check on everything. They started around 9am in the morning. They introduced themselves to me and let me know what they were going to do and what to expect. As the day progressed they kept me informed and also were awesome to show me what they were doing and asking if I had questions on anything. My kids were watching them through the windows and everyone was so cool that they waved and smiled at my kids. Jimmy even showed up talked to me and what was really cool was to see that the owner had brought everyone lunch. They finished up around 5ish and picked up all of there stuff and made my place look like it was when they left. By far this was a awesome experience with the owner and the crew. To see everyone happy and enjoying there work that they do is amazing. Thank you guys for everything you have done for my family. I will highly recommend you to everyone I know.

    February of 2025 my electric service. What failed was the electric box on the street that fed my…read morehome electric. My wife and I woke up to 62 degrees. No power. Called Edison they were there very quickly. Explained where the failure was and that it may take up to a week to repair. The edison rep then pointed at my generator and said "why didn't that kick in" . Nope the generator that I had paid Osborn to maintain was silent. We immediately called Osborn. The phone was answered by Osborn and I explained to the woman on the other end our power went out and our generator was showing red. She told me that's not good and i agreed and asked her to please send someone out. (they were the company I paid my yearly check-up fee to!). I was shocked when she told me first opening was 8 Days away. I explained again that my power was out and I was a customer of the company yearly check-up. And that Osborn had just been there 6 months prior and declared all is well....AND MY GENERATOR IS NOT WORKING AND SHOWING A RED LIGHT!!!!! And she responded very calmly so do you want the appointment in 8 days. Nothing sooner. Thank god the Edison supervisor was still outside. When I told him Osborn will not be here for 8 days he sent a small suitcase size generator. It took Edison 4 Days. So on day 8 Osborn did show...but my wife and I did receive a call at about 10am (we had an 8 to 12 window) they were running late because Osborn had a customer with an emergency ahead of us!?!!?? you just can't make this up. Osborn did show about 4 p.m. Osborn did get the generator green light back on...for 4 days. Light went red again in 4 days. Did not call Osborn back. Called another company they came out same day fixed the problem been fine since. Surprised Osborn couldn't fix problem ...said so. So fast forward to September 2025. What appeared in my in box on my computer A BILL FOR $270. For service rendered February 2025. This really got my goat. A bill for $270 for sending a serviceman to my home to do nothing or better yet to fix something that they didn't fix 6 months earlier. Went to there home office on Buno Rd. to express my opinion and to tell them how much I disagreed with their billing practices. Without batting an eye bill went from $270 to$135. So if you are or do do business with Osborn I would take steps to protect yourself from the type of charges my wife and I incurred those days last winter. Such as if you are a member of their yearly service plan if something goes wrong and your red light comes on they will get there much, much sooner than the 8 days it took them to get to my wife and I. And not for a charge of $270. In all honesty my wife and I did pay the $135. It was either that or red mark on our credit rating.

    I wanted to share my recent experience with Hager Fox Heating & Cooling (A Randazzo Company). On…read moreJan 24th I had Hager Fox install a new furnace for me because my old one was too costly to repair. The initial troubleshooting technician I give 5 stars! He did a great job finding the problem and explaining everything to me. The salesman I give 0 stars. He tried to trick me into buying a new AC unit (I will explain more later) and he made wrong measurements of my old unit that resulted in a new duct needing to be fabricated on installation day. Which also resulted in their young driver that delivered the new duct backing up their company van on my lawn and got stuck in the snow. The driver spun the van wheels until it went down to dirt! I emailed pictures of the incident to the salesman and received NO acknowledgement or apology from ANYONE at the company. I wasn't even offered any grass seed to repair the damage. At my initial visit with the salesman, he explained that starting Jan 1st 2025 a new freon is being used on all new AC units. (This is true). He said if I didn't act now, I would pay $1500 more for a new AC unit because that is how much the price will increase because of the new freon/AC units. (That is NOT true). He said the old AC units will be sold out in the next few weeks. (OH, because you know there is going to be a BOGO deal coming up!) I spoke with other heating & cooling companies and they explained that they have been buying and installing the new style AC units for months! One even told me that he pays less for the new units and freon. He also said that Hager Fox is a bigger company and most likely have a large inventory of the old AC units they need to get rid of. During the intimal meeting my wife asked about BOGO free deal they sometimes have? We didn't get a yes or no. We got an explanation on how Randazzo's bought Hager Fox. Wouldn't you know it, just a week after our furnace was installed Hager Fox has BOGO free deal! I called the salesman up to ask if they do anything for people that just got their furnace installed (pertaining to the BOGO deal). He said he was in training and couldn't talk right now but he would look into it for me and get back with me. Not knowing how long he would be in training; I gave him a week to get back with me. The next Monday came and still no call back! I called to office wanting to talk to a manager. EVERYTHING is voice prompt! The best I could do is get a receptionist (I guess that is who it was?) She explained she would send an email to my salesman asking him to call me. She said she would also copy in his manager as well. Today is the 3 days since I called the office and NO return call! The furnace installers I give 3 stars. They were getting ready to leave and I was inspecting their work. I noticed on my bathroom sink next to the furnace room I saw a knob. I asked what was this from? One guy explained they broke the knob off my humidifier. I said what are you guys going to do about that? (Apparently nothing if I didn't notice it!). He said we would have to call the office and have them send the driver out again with another part. So, they send the same person that got stuck in my lawn earlier! Then I notice a pipe that had warm air coming from around it. It had some putty around it but not enough. After I pointed that out, he put more on it. Again, it wouldn't have gotten done if I had not mentioned it! It sure feels like once they got my money that I am not a priority to them anymore. It makes me wonder if I have a problem with my furnace down the road what sort of trouble will I have with them honoring the warranty!

Our basement…read morehas a less than stellar layout for this stuff and the team worked around the cement walls and other challenges. Our project took longer than expected but guys from other projects kept showing up to help them finish that day! Since then, they have answered and been responsive to our questions. We have been very pleased with their work!
