First time here and the food was good! Service was quick and polite. The inside of the restaurant itself is a bit small and now that it's getting colder, it will get full quicker. McDougal's has been my go-to chicken since my Vanderbilt days. I remember us walking to the old McDougal's location in HIllsboro Village more often than I can count. Since then, it has been a request of everyone's return visit to Nashville - while also loved by the new people we bring too! The new location on 12th Ave S does have a little less charm than the OG, I won't lie, but it makes up for it in more abundant seating. I love the new large patio! You can always find a great table - even for bigger groups. The service is always speedy! It probably helps that I always go in knowing what I already want - a small finger basket with Ole Smoky and McDougal's sauce! That's the best combo in my opinion! Not only have I seen it, but after being on the other line and being ignored consistently, I'm pretty pissed off with McDougal's customer service. I also can't forget to mention, the way the workers barely flip the checkout screen over so they have a whole view of whether you tip or not. This tip peeping is petty behavior especially for a business that can clearly afford to pay their workers a decent wage.
