It is a rare experience to have a good trip to the Woodruff McDonalds. My visits are for breakfast or an occasional iced tea for my wife. I like their Big Breakfasts, but this McDonalds uses the fold over eggs, does not provide butter and jelly and rarely provides silverware. Had to leave on numerous occasions because no one would take my order, or my wait in line was more than 10 minutes. Most recently stopped for a tea at 6:00 pm and was told there would be a 15-20-minute wait because they were cleaning. This was 6:00 in the evening. This is by far the worst McDonalds I have visited. I'm guessing they are not adequately staffed which likely means they don't pay good wages. Not my problem if true, but corporate should demand improvements or yank the franchise. read more

Well where to start .....it's McDonald's But the absolute worst 1 I've ever been to....I pulled into the drive thru at 1:45 pm....waited almost 5 minutes before they took my order...got to the window to pay at 1:50...was told to pull forward and my food would be brought out to me...2 Filet-O-Fish....at 2:20 I walked in and asked for a refund and had a bag tossed at me with excuse that it had to cook.... Hard to believe this store is still open.... It's the brand and definitely not the service. I put this on management. They are not training the people appropriately nor supervising. My last visit is just that, my last visit. Went inside thinking it would be faster than drive through. Wrong. Place looked like it was after the apocalypse. Boxes on the floor, empty display case on counter, all the tables were dirty, and one was set up to interview employees I guess. It had a tablecloth and applications but at least half a dozen applications were on the floor and no-one even picked them up. There was a full 12oz of coke on the floor in the dining room and not even a "wet floor" sign. The drink counter was beyond disgusting. The drains were stained black and partially blocked. Trash on the counter. Just revolting. I sent a letter to corporate and they brushed it off and said they would contact the owners. Hill Management, LLC. About a week later they sent a letter and a coupon for a free meal. I don't want another meal, I want them to get better so I called the person who sent the letter. I just don't understand how this McDonald's is even in business. It's 8:30 am, 6 cars just pulled out of drive through because no one's taking orders. 30 minutes later and not a single order has been taken. We finally get to the drive through window and they are saying they are short staff. This happens almost EVERY morning. It makes no sense why a billion dollar business is running a short staff. Super clean and super high tech. You go to the kiosk to order and pay, then go to the counter and get your food. Our order was correct, food was proper temperature, and there were plenty of helpful employees so we had no wait. Lots of parking, plenty of seating both indoors and out. read more

I went to the first window and the young lady said "$5.10". That's all she said, even after I paid. That was it! I drove to the second window to pick up my order. That young lady handed me the food and coffee and said nothing. In my business, we say 'thank you for your business'! The customer pays the bills and salaries! We had a disappointing experience at the Woodruff McDonalds, starting with the exployees and the order and pick-up (in store) process. Although I interacted with 4 different employees, only 1 actually spoke to me. The order taker took my order and said nothing; he didn't tell me a total, didn't tell me to slide my card, didn't offer a receipt, didn't tell me my order number; he just walked off after I said I was finished giving my order. He never came back. We ordered a blue raspberry frozen Fanta. When the staff went to dispense the frozen Fanta, they realized that the machine's light was on, indicating that it wasn't frozen or set up enough. An employee dispensed the frozen Fanta anyway, poured it (pure liquid) into a blender, added ice, and tried to give it to me. I explained that, since the machine was showing that the item wasn't ready, I would prefer to have something else; she didn't respond. I asked employee #3 if we could have something else instead, but he said the ice cream machine was broken, so we got a refund. Kudos to the employee who did offer a refund; thank you for not making this part difficult. Three items were missing from our order; thank goodness we were dining in. I went back up to the counter and explained what I was missing; this time I talked to employee #4. She looked at me and listened, and then walked away; again she Said Nothing To Me. She came back with 2 of the missing items. And Said Nothing. I stood there some more and then we got our 3rd missing item. My filet of fish and fries were good! But, I'm pretty sure my apple pie had been sitting around all day; the crust was crunchy, the apples were spongy, and the whole thing was cold. read more

I agree with the other reviews that this location is a hard pass. I live locally and can say that I've tried eating here at different times and dates. They need to start over with better management in place to fix the issues. They take forever to put orders together, especially the evening/night crew. I've paid for many items I never received. If you do eat here, check your bag closely before leaving. Open everything up and check it. I'm done eating here. Don't bother ordering through the app or Door Dash because then you'll really get screwed over. Always missing items, wrong items, and it's hard to get anything refunded or made right in the customers favor. This town is growing and there's more options now - go someplace else! read more

I want to give 0 stars. This location says it's open until 11:00PM but is always closed around 9:00PM. This was on August 27th and 28th if a manager wants to check after reading this. We sat at the drive through and never got a response and we drove around and saw the employees just talking inside. We went to the drive through again and nothing. We drive around the building and there were little kids now telling all the cars they were closed. This is ridiculous and someone needs to be held responsible. read more

It's truly amazing just how incredibly incompetent people can be. This is hands down, the absolute worst McDonalds I have ever been to. Last visit, I was on the drive through and asked to pull forward once I ordered and got to the window. After literally waiting a 1/2 hour, I went inside to see what was taking so long. I saw a bag sitting behind the counter getting cold and that's when they started to get a last sandwich made. The manager who was outside smoking came in and assured me that everything was in the bag. I asked for my money back, and apparently the "policy" is not to refund an unhappy customer. When I got home I found not one, not two, but THREE different items missing from the bag. I drive all the way back for the missing sandwiches, and nobody took responsibility for it, not even the "manager". I got the missing food, but everything was cold. Well, I went through the drive-through at the McDonald's in Woodruff again and they still remain the worst service McDonald's in the history of America. What good is it to have I double drive-through but you only have one person with a headset, where is the benefit? And then when you pay at the pay window and move to the food window they direct all of the traffic (5 cars) into parking spaces and we wait on food for another 10 minutes. And then you have these workers walking around the parking lot with bags asking everyone "what did you order" so they can try to get you the correct bag. And when I got my food home it tasted stale like it had been cooked for hours so what was the big delay? My experience this morning and many other times was not good. The service was not only slow, but it seemed as if no one really wanted to be there. At the intercom, I asked for a quarter pounder and large fry, they gave me a large tea instead of a large frie. I'm definitely going to go to this location less. I have no I'll will nor words to stamp on this business name but as time has passed by, the service at times is very uncomfortable and down right rude! McDonalds in Woodruff SC is struggling... They rarely get the order right and when they do the fries are cold and chewy... They run out of ingredients to make drinks on the McCafe' menu like MILK lol how do they run out of milk? (Food lion is in the same parking lot.) They let you place your order, wait in an extremely long line then tell you once you get to the window that the credit card machine is down and its cash only. The ice cream machine is always down! They ran out of biscuits for gravy biscuits mid-morning. The list goes on and on every time we have been to this location something has been wrong. I thought my opinion of the Woodruff McDonalds might have been an anomaly and someone was just having a bad day. Until I read these reviews and sure enough they treat all their customers like crap. But you have to wonder what is driving the employees to behave like that? Well, I suspect piss poor management.
