This is THE most poorly run restaurant, maybe on planet Earth. They can't even get an order out on time when there's literally no one else in the store. Fast food seems like it would be tough to mess up and a lot of places manage to do it consistently. It's also tough for fast food to be outstanding -- this place manages to be outstanding. They pay attention to details and do simple things like making sure not to give you fries until your sandwich is ready. Not the best McDonald's. I wouldn't come here during rush hour since it's a nightmare to get to, but coming later at night is fine. Like other reviewers have said, its hard to mess up fast food but this place manages to. Every time I've gotten grilled chicken at McDonald's it never seems quite cooked all the way. The drive thru service is usually good. I live in Philadelphia but order at this location after I drop my brother off to work. I don't eat it until I get back to Philadelphia so when I pulled over to eat I noticed that it was a hair on my hash brown. I removed it looked further into the bag to find another one on the hash brown. I immediately called to have the manager tell me that she didn't have curly hair employees and made me it seem like I didn't experience what I experienced and I had to ask for my money back. This McDonald's has been renovated on the inside since I was first there many moons ago. It's now faux fancy - for a McDonald's) - with trendyish light fixtures and an off-coffee color scheme. If I could give it no stars I would. EVERY time I go here, and its not often but only for absolute dire need to because the WAWA across the street looks full, and im late, or tired and just want something quick, but everytime I come here, theres something wrong. This time I decided to take the time and write something about it. Waited in the drive thru for about 5 minutes, no answer. That should have been my sign to just say no. I decided to park and go inside of course there were 2 smoking employees at the entrance so i almost had to excuse myself past them just to get in past the cloud of smoke too. But finally made it in where there were 2 employees at the drive-thru window chatting and touching and playing around, with the one girl throwing around her headphones "listen to this" Another girl hiding in the corner on her phone decides to end her phone call and helps me out. She apologizes for the wait in the drive-thru (not her fault since shes not working drivethru) and tells the drivethru guy to check his mic or something. He obviously replies "yeah, its working". The car that was behind me waiting in the drivethru earlier, a while BMW X5 pulls up about a minute after the drivethru guy was told to check his mic. Draw your own conclusions. Then I watched the "cook" just use his bare hands, no gloves just splat together whatever was on his screen and throw the food on the pick up counter. Keep in mind the girls that was telling her co-workers to "listen to this" was still getting in the way of the others possibly trying to their job. So here I am now, writing this review after having thrown out my food once arriving home. Why didn't I ask for a manager? Terrible customer service! I wanted to apply the coupon for buy one BigMac get one free, and the cashier told me that it was applied! Then he wanted to throw away the receipt and after I asked him that I wanted my receipt, he gave it to me and I found out that the coupon was not applied, and he said that it was the system issue. Left for work a little too early on a Saturday so I had about 20 minutes to kill. Decided to stop by Mickey D's for some breakfast. It was like 7:30 am so the inside was pretty slow, but the lady at the counter was friendly enough. She gave me a few minutes to browse before asking if I was ready to order which is nice. I've been to his location numerous times before and have always received great drive through help. Ordered a sausage burrito, hash browns and an iced coffee. Food was piping hot and fresh. So I came into the store, ordered my breakfast on the snappy new order system (way cool) entered my Freeken Number and took the placard to my table. I was the only one in the store. Well, the server put my meal on the counter. What the hell is the sense of giving numbers if the "lazy, attitude-rich server" puts my meal on the counter? WTF? I agree with previous reviewers who say that it's hard to mess up fast food. And I say that is especially true at a place like McDonald's, a company that practically wrote the book on fast food preparation. That being said, this McDonald's is similar to every other McDonald's I've visited-- and the food tastes the same as always (I do try to stay away from fast food, but sometimes those fries just call my name). Today, my son and I went through the drive through and ordered a filet-o-fish sandwich. Unfortunately, we were given a chicken sandwich with tartar sauce in a filet-o-fish box instead. We went back around to fix the order, and the woman at the second window was just trying to rush us along. She told us to come inside, and that's when the manager, Jojo, stepped in. Jojo asked why we'd need to come inside, to which the cashier replied, "because they're holding up the line." Kind of rude to say with the customer right there, especially when our order was incorrect. We get the need to keep "fast food" fast... that's why we got back in line and waited our turn. When we went back around, we were told to drive to the second window. It really didn't feel good to have someone act like you were creating a problem when your order was incorrect, especially when we were following directions, and given the correct item in less than a minute. The manager Jojo was so kind, efficient, and helpful! I truly appreciate her taking the time to resolve the issue, and step in when she felt that the situation wasn't right. She is the only reason I am leaving a 5 star review. If it weren't for her, I would never return to this location again. She's one of the ones to keep around! read more
