This location is a survivor, perfectly situated to attract rush hour commuters heading to and from the Maryland suburbs. It's well into its third decade slinging burgers and fries. Gentrification in the area hasn't slowed drive-through traffic a bit. It's standard stuff, but they keep it clean and the managers are attentive to the customer experience. Service is as fast as you want. You won't get Kafka or a credit's worth of clinical psychology with your Happy Meal. For that, go to New York Avenue. Their new self-serve menus have some omissions (iced coffee sizes), the wifi is meh, and parking lot navigation is a challenge during peak hours. Generally, the counter is faster than the drive-through. Regular packs of lost tourists. Your mileage may vary, but your burger won't. read more

I was in the city and needed a quick meal. I ordered my usual. Large drink, no ice, Mc Chicken, and fries fresh off the fryer. I paid and everything. The cashier was less than friendly. She made my drink, with ice, even though business seemed slow and she made sure to put "no ice" on my receipt. I politely asked for a drink with no ice and got an attitude. Upon receiving my corrected drink, I slid down the counter to receive my food. I noticed the worker giving me fries that hadbeen sitting there. So, non-fresh fries. I politely informed the lady of what I specified in my order and she snatched the bag back off of the counter. Then, once the fresh fries came out (which were already down in the fryer when I'd ordered), she skimped on the amount and gave me back the bag, no words or anything. It felt pretty rude. Meanwhile, there was some miscellaneous woman pacing back and forth at the front door, inside and out, asking for food. It was pretty creepy. She even came directly to my table, asking me for a second time to give her money or food. Wish I could give less....I ordered my food on Friday around 3:52p and got 1 less drink than I ordered. I told the guy the problem at the window and he told me that he couldn't do anything about it. The girl only charged me for 1 drink. So, I figured no problem, I could go ahead and pay for it now, he told me very rudely that he couldn't do it and that he didn't have a cash drawer and that I would have to go back in the drive thru line. I said that's crazy because I ordered it and I the customer shouldn't be penalized for their mistake. He told me again, that I couldn't get it and I had to get back in the line that I had already been through for 20 minutes previously. I pulled in the parking lot and went in the store. I stood in another line for 15 minutes to finally ask to speak with the manager and to order the drink again. This time it was worse! The young lady that was taking the orders acted like she couldn't understand what I was saying. So, I repeated myself several times and asked for a Banana Strawberry Smoothie again. She acted like she didn't understand English until I asked for the Manager. She then said that they didn't have that and I told her that I had just gotten one from the drive thru which she already knew because she was right there at the time. So a few of them thought it was funny and began to laugh. I got to talk to the Manager finally. He shook his head and said that it wasn't right and that I could've received my drink at the window and walked away with no resolution and no apology. I was left confused and completely upset. This place has ZERO customer service skills and could careless about how the customer is treated. I am very disappointed in this location in how the staff and manager handled my customer issue and I'm a really good customer i.e. I go there often. Nothing was solved because the young lady acted like she couldn't speak English and the Manager just shook his head and walked away. I hate this place because of all the McDonald's trash that lines the surrounding residential streets. Everywhere you look, there are McDonald's wrappers, cups, napkins, etc. Sure, I realize it's the fault of the obnoxious clientele that can't be bothered to use one of the many nearby trash cans. Doesn't matter, it's disgusting and McDonald's should try to be better neighbors. They have the resources, they just don't care. Every time I walk by I pick up a few wrappers, but really it's a drop in the bucket. (By the way, I do not live by this McDonald's - thankfully.
