The lot is made of seashells and is on the water so the ambiance is actually very nice. They'll call you when your drinks are ready so you can add cream or sugar yourself, but they usually bring food out to you. First of all, their chai is amazing. So good. They have different flavors; I'm a big fan of the vanilla chai. My dad LOVES their cappuccinos. I've had bit sweet and savory crepes here, and they're all great. They have some you can order on the menu but there is a big make-your-own menu with a whole slew of options. Usually I get the Brie, fruit, and honey crepe, it's so light, sweet; and summery!

The parking lot is a bit tricky as there's only a one lane entry/exit, so could result in accidents if you and other drivers aren't careful in paying attention. We tried a Santiago orange-chocolate cake slice, an almond croissant, a chocolate chip cookie, and a selection of their 5 mini pastries. These baked treats (5/5) were all excellent in terms of quality, with delicious and satisfying flavors which we really liked. They use fresh and high quality ingredients, so while prices aren't cheap, they are reasonably in line for the quality of baked goods you're purchasing. We also ordered a cappuccino (4/5) which was beautifully presented, but wasn't our favorite among area coffee shops, but still an excellent accompaniment to enjoy their baked goods. We'll definitely be back and would recommend Madrid European Bakery and Patisserie to others. Their list of ice cream flavors looked unique and intriguing, so that only creates a dilemma of which sweet treats you choose to indulge yourself in when visiting.

We left with a few bottles at balsamic and a bottle of olive oil. They sell different sized bottles, too, and they bottle it right in front of you. One of the standouts we got was blueberry, it has an amazing blueberry taste! Definitely check this place out if you need some fun balsamic in your life- we all do!

So, here's the problem. A low volume early morning transaction, Drive Through order, I pull up to the window, no cars behind, employee walks to the window with my order IN HAND. I am sitting WAITING for my order. Employee proceeds at that time to take another order. I am STILL sitting WAITING for my order. WHILE I AM WAITNG, THERE IN HER HAND IS MY ORDER. MY FOOD, THAT IS GETING COLD. There will be a perfect opening AFTER finishing my transaction while I am driving away and the next vehicle is pulling up to take another order. IF this is corporate policy, then this needs to change. If it's just bad service perhaps another occupation would serve this person better. It's better to complete the transaction of the customer before you. Than to make them wait while you complete another transaction. Makes the customer waiting, like me, feel secondary. You just insulted your customer. Do better next time. read more

I originally placed an order through DoorDash and ended up waiting about an hour and a half. There was so much back-and-forth with the order -- first I was told they were preparing the food, then there was an issue waiting for a driver, and then the driver was apparently there waiting. At that point, DoorDash ended up canceling the order. I honestly can't say for sure how much of that was DoorDash versus Shake Shack, but it was a frustrating experience either way. After that, I decided to place the order again for pickup. When I finally went to pick it up, the food was extremely soggy. My assumption is that it may have been the same sandwich that had been sitting around during the hour-and-a-half wait, but I obviously can't say that for sure. Normally the food here is great and I've had plenty of good experiences at this location, which is why I was so disappointed today. Hopefully this was just a one-off because I usually really enjoy Shake Shack, but today was definitely not their best.
