I find the newly reopened McDonalds to be an upgrade from what it was before. It is definitely cleaner and ordering pick up has become much easier. I didn't dine in so I can't speak to my experience eating inside, but I like how I'm able to order through the app on my way (almost always there's some deal on the app too!) and then pick them up seamlessly without interacting with anyone. Though, would definitely skip the iced coffee if you can make it at home or get it elsewhere. FYI - I was grossed out by the review about finding rat tail in their fries, but a reverse google image search shows that this was in a UK location from ages ago. Hopefully that puts you at ease if you did eat here before or are planning to visit Waltham's McDonalds in the near future. read more

Gonna write this up before the new building opens. I never give 4 stars for fast food and this location prior to its recent closing to rebuild was tired. Often you will find a few homeless folks sitting around inside drinking coffee and often there's a shopping carriage sitting on the curb outside. So why the 4 stars? I appreciate the fact that they actually allow these folks that are less fortunate than others to spend some time inside warming up or cooling down. Also, the drive through gets crowded but it moves quickly. I only get the occasional breakfast here and of course the app can be frustrating but the people that work here at least in the morning are very hard working, always get my order correct (even if I make a substitution) are always friendly and smiling and the food is usually consistent. I hope the same crew comes back when they reopen in a few months. read more

Good experience here, got something to eat. The ordering process was fast, friendly and the food was warm to the bite. It's funny to me when people really put down fast food restaurants, but we need to keep in mind that fast food places are to get food quickly and cheaply. The people working here are not paid big salaries, so our expectations need to be measured. This was an experience similar to other McDonald's I have been to. read more

I came in, ina fine mood ordered breakfast and mark it for table 1 as default as I always do cause I don't go looking at the table number or have them memorized before I order. I sit at random table and wait for food. Noory brings out food, apparently headed to table 1. I stop her and let her know hi. That's my food. She gives me side eye and says she's gotta deliver it to table 1. Right off the bat, she's irate with me. I sense that so, I tell her firmly. That is my food. She begins arguing with me about how I'm not at the designated seating area for that order. I'm about to lose my shit. I can see exactly what's on the plate. I even had to bust out my receipt to prove to her that's my order. We argue. Loudly back and forth in front of other customers. Seriously fucking embarrassing. I don't wanna argue with you people over my food I paid for making us both look like fools. Manager comes out. Angela. She was fine. I got no issues with her. Show her my receipt and she explains when it's busy table numbers are easier to facilitate delivery of food. I look around. Bro. It is a McDonalds with room for improvement. There is a drive up window, ample on site parking, restrooms, and the typical McDonald's menu and infrastructure. The staff are inconsistent in service, items missing from the order are not uncommon, and condiments are not always provided with a smile. The latter is a simple fix. As one who worked at McDonald's for a number of years, a polite greeting and salutation is a easy way to ensure a better visit. The restaurant has a moderate level of noise. The food is typical McDonalds. I will likely stop by again and look forward to improvement worthy of a great review. read more

This restaurant is a joke. I went there and placed a simple order of french fries and a drink. I waited outside in the curbside pickup area for 20 minutes and nobody ever came out to give me my order so I left. When I contacted the McDonald's company through their online form to request a refund for a payment that never should have been processed, they put me in touch with the store manager, Dossy Malone, who did absolutely nothing to help me. Dossy claimed that I needed to come into the store and speak with her if I wanted my money back -- as if I have nothing better to do with my time. When I replied directly to Dossy, she apparently chose to ignore me since I never heard back from her. There is no reason why I should have been charged in the first place since they never completed my order, and there is no reason why they cannot issue the refund back to my credit card, or in the last apply a credit to my mobile account for a future order. There is a Wendy's right across the street that provides excellent customer service, not to mention lower prices. I'll be taking my business to them from now on. It was an ok experience as far as McDonald's go. I ordered Uber Eats from here when I was on vacation in Boston. My family came home late from a tour that was supposed to include dinner at Pilmouth Plantation... but that didn't happen. We just needed something to eat as we had an early day the next day and didn't have time from breakfast. I entered the Drive thru wanting to taste the new Mighty Wings. I had in my possession a coupon for a FREE Quarter Pound Burger received from Coke Rewards in exchange for points. The coupon was expired, but it had been sent late due to a mix up in the Rewards order. While this was not McDonald's fault, when I asked what to do with a coupon with so little time to redeem, I was told by Coke Rewards via email that most McDonald's would honor the coupon, just do not use it for just the burger and not buy anything else. I let the order taker know that I had the expired coupon. I placed an order for Ten Mighty Wings, Fries, Drink AND the Quarter Pounder Deluxe. The total came to ~$20 before the coupon. I drove around to the window and handed the coupon & my credit card to the clerk. Over the next 30 minutes they decided they could not accept the coupon, but they charged me for the order, refused to cancel the order, wasted much time finally issuing a credit, and tried to keep the coupon anyway! There was a gentleman with a long ponytail who was in charge and took over for the window clerk. After much discussion he finally returned my credit card with a REFUND receipt, but he did not sign or complete the form, as is required to do so. When I asked him to do so, he refused telling me it was not necessary. I politely asked him his name and he refused to give it to me telling me it was none of my business. Thus he became known only as the man with the long ponytail. I left, still wondering what the Mighty Wings tasted like, but at least I know how much they cost. In all, the McDonald's franchisee waste about 30 minutes of my time, that could have been avoided by simply telling me up front they would not take the coupon, and then by not harassing me during the rest of the process. I still have to check my credit card statement to verify that I was charged the same amount as I was refunded, that the credit was actually made to my card and not reversed, etc. The way this man acted does not make me think I can trust him to have done the right thing at all. I would say that this incident has wasted about an hour of my time. Did I mention that since I insisted they finally returned the coupon and that Wendy's, Burger King, etc are all willing to redeem the coupon. Most McDonald's locations would as well. I did not go inside so I don't know if the complaints people have posted about the location being dirty or food quality issues are valid, but I will never return to find out! read more

Once upon a time, in Waltham, in 2012, I lived with an unemployed roommate on the street which abuts this most prestigious of Culinary Marvels. Unavoidable, every morning I would be forced to pass this fricken McDonald's, which would stand stoically to my right and glower at me with milkshakes in its windows and a faint scent of fryer grease wafting from its not-so-invisible air vents near the drive-thru window. If there was a snowstorm, only the drive-thru would be open--not the restaurant itself--which is still puzzling considering that cars were actually banned from the roads on such snow-filled days, and so we would have to walk over to the drive-thru window (pretending that we're driving cars--duh), to be briefly informed that we are NOT driving cars, but really just pretending, so she wouldn't even serve us. The gall! Anyway, so this place is kinda dirty and there are always these loud beeping sounds that they never seem to hear coming from behind the counter, and there's this stone-faced manager with a ponytail and mostly a bunch of teenaged kids trying to get away with stuff before they get caught. Okay, I have got to say it the employees here have gotten significantly friendlier! That nation wide push McDonald's has going on is definitely working at this location. I generally come by some mornings for the $1 Medium Ice Coffees. Everything seemed fine until she told me I hadn't paid - I had paid on the app. Stupidly, I gave her my card assuming something had failed to go through. I checked the receipt and my phone while waiting for the food at the pickup window. I asked the guy to help me sort it out - he didn't understand. I then showed the manager - she saw the charges from them on my phone and the mistake on the receipt (I had also been overcharged the second time). She told me they couldn't reverse the charge to fix it and that I would have to call my bank. What? This place is disgusting! And that's an understatement! I normally blame the patrons, but that's not the case here. The dining area is always dirty, people leave their trays full of trash on the tables when they leave, I would love to say it's their fault, but when I go to throw my trash away, I often have to push the trash already in the box to keep it from falling out. I don't want to touch other people's waste. The counter is cluttered and not well designed at all, there's no place to stand to wait for your food so the cashier can take another order, especially if there are 2 register's working. the drive thru is slow, and will argue if they get your order wrong. Walked in and right away someone held the door for me and the manager was there with a smile and greeted me with a hearty good morning and how can I help you today.
