The place was like a normal McDonald's with a lot of annoying kids a play place that Didn't look to bad overall the building looked nice and had a lot of cool lights the workers were nice and are food was done fast .I got McNuggets fries and a sprite the sprite was fantastic but a little too good the McNuggets where ok not fantastic kinda hard to mess them up and the fries where wayyyy to hot I would also like to note that my fellow eaters of McDonald's got a Big Mac and a McChicken the Big Mac had way too much lettuce and the McChicken wasn't even in the center and the pickles where stacked on top of each other overall it's a 3 star lot to improve waconia McDonald's. read more

They updated the building and now it looks like a jailhouse in there. Gray , bland. Bleak. No free refills. Hard to actually talk to any employees. They often mess up orders. Many times I can't understand what the employees are even saying when I order? Not sure if they even understand English. It's really gone downhill, and gross. read more

I walked into the McDonald's to order just a shamrock shake. I used the kiosk in the front to place my order. After placing my order I walked over to the counter and waited patiently. I see one of the workers standing by the bag station right next to the fries eating food on the bagging station. I watch him wipe the table off where he was eating with only a paper towel and then used the same one for his face. He then goes straight to scooping up customers fries without washing his hands and no gloves in sight. He was wearing a darker blue shirt, over 6 feet tall with blonde curly hair. Overall normal experience for mcdonnys UNTIL they put away too much lettuce on my big mack. Not cool bro. Service was good though food came out instantly and bathrooms were really clean + they have a playplace. For some reason they also really like stacking pickles on top of each together. Not cool either bro. Iced coffee was alright. Burgers were built like the twin towers about to collapse but it was delicious. Fries were like a volcano, they were HOT! I ordered chicken nuggets from there and never had a problem but then I went through late at night and ordered some normal chicken nuggets I meant to get a 20 piece but must have miss spoke and only got 10 I went around again and ordered another 10 piece the first 10 I got were cold and the second I got was fresh I shared with a friend we both ended up getting horribly sick with food poisoning. Terrible. The waits are awful. They are notorious pulling cars forward to wait. One time, I had to do this for a hot fudge sundae. How? But this past Sunday morning, I had to wait over 20 minutes for 2 sausage McMuffin with egg sandwiches. The person I complained to said the kitchen can only make so much food at one time. I have honestly been to this McDonalds 25 times and every visit has been a chore for the staff. ~the Managers run around and yell at the staff in front of the customers ~the Staff yell at eachother in front of customers - I actually witnessed a fight in the parking lot between two employees with the F word being the word of choice ~my food order has been wrong and missing items about 70% of the time ~it seems to take an abnormal amount of time for simple orders This McDonalds is pretty ghetto - The owners are lucky that Waconia doesn't have many places to eat - otherwise, they'd probably be screwed! read more

Compared to the food San Quentin, the food at this McDonalds is excellent. For the past 25 years, I have been eating brown slop off of a plastic tray. It was a huge change of pace eating the brown meat-like substance with actual bread. In jail, we got month-old bread. I haven't had cold, mushy fries in years. It was excellent. read more

I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Hands down, by far, the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. They mess up my order pretty much every time. How hard is it to simply not put a pickle on my burger or to actually give me a dipping sauce with my nuggets. Apparently very hard cause they screw it up every time. And the fries are always luke warm at best, and taste like they've been sitting under a warmer for a half hour before I get them. Look, I'm not expecting some gourmet meal or anything. Without a doubt the worst run mickey mouse operation I have ever been to. Employees don't care at all and it shows, management is not much better. For 10 years I've been going to this location as there really are no other fast food options in town so it's that or nothing and it clearly shows that the staff knows it. Easily half the time the order is wrong or prepared with such disregard to quality that it gets sent back, and I don't think I've ever had the drive thru get my order right. The lobby is swarmed with flies year round, you will literally be swatting flies for most of the duration of your meal. Now I go in today to get some breakfast and am told that they cannot manually run a debit or credit card like every other freaking business in 5he country can, and they've never been able to. Which I know is a flat out lie as I've done it there before. So you're telling me that if the machine cannot read my card I'm SOL? What an absolute s*** show this place is, corporate needs to clean house because something is very broken at this location and has been for a decade. But Waconians don't really have any other choice for fast food so I guess we just take what we can get right? read more

The manager at this McDonalds location is so rude. Honestly I was baffled at how rude and inconsiderate this man was to customers including myself. People in line waiting to order even left before they got to the register because they were so dumbfounded by a grown man being so nasty and ill-mannered to customers at the establishment. He consistently made snarky comments and made me, and others feel stupid. Finding power and superiority by belittling others is not professional and I wish I would have cancelled my order. I'm still pretty appalled at the behavior of the employees at this location, there was severe weather and I mean SEVERE. The wind was very strong and the rain was so heavy I couldn't see where I was on the road. To make matters worse it was night and the power was out, thought there may be a tornado. So I pulled over to see if we could take shelter they were just closing the inside, but we were yelling for help. They just stared and then ignored us and laughed. Stopped at this McDonald's for a late lunch while passing through the area. It was past the usual lunch hour rush. Placed our order at the counter. Service was offered immediately as we approached the counter. Staff was friendly and efficient. Our wait time for our food was minimal. Food was good. Our order consisted of burgers, fries, soft drinks and bacon chicken ranch salad. We did not encounter any problems while dining at this McDonald's. Restrooms were spacious and clean. If in the area again, we could consider stopping here for another meal. read more

This McDonalds has the worst customer service. I ordered a #2, (simple, right?) and somehow they screwed it up as chicken mcnuggets with a drink. While the girl was confirming my order with me, she says hello to the rowdy dog in the car with me (not my dog, I am watching him for someone) and says, "Oh, of course you can come here!" And he runs right across the seat to see her--running over me in the process. As I am pushing him back over to his side, I say a very stern "no" to the both of them, and she seemed surprised about that. I then let her know she got my order wrong and she went from gushy with the dog to rude with me and sighed and said, "just a moment" and slammed the window shut in my face. While we are waiting, my dog starts whining and howling. When she opened the window, there were THREE more employees at the window to see the dog!! They start their silly baby talk and again, the dog runs over me to go see them. They don't seem to either notice or care that they are causing a lot of trouble for me, and that they still haven't worked on my order. The girl finally got my order taken care of, and I shoved the dog over to his seat again and proceeded to the next window to get my food, only to discover that the order is STILL wrong! These kids that work there are so clueless and management even more so. Corporate better get their act together and train their staff better. They are making themselves and McDonalds look very ghetto. read more

After a grueling 8-hr workday I stopped at this McDonald's. With the exception of the cashier I didn't receive the expected greeting ("Hi welcome to McDonald's...." or a close-out with a "Thank you.") It was more or less "Hi order when you're ready." and a "Here you go." That implied my business with them is not appreciated. I could've dismissed that - this location is notorious for having awkward workers who have a detectable 'I don't want to be here but I have to' attitude. I understand and really don't care most of the time, but it's starting to irritate me now. All I ordered was a Sausage Skillet Burrito, Bacon Egg & Cheese Bagel, and a Sausage McGriddle- no meals, just the sandwiches and wrap. I didn't ask for drinks or anything else to make the order complicated. I roll over to the second window and I was asked to park and wait. So after about 5 minutes I finally get my food, I go home and start eating breakfast with my husband. I haven't eaten anything since 12 am so I'm looking forward to sinking my teeth into the McGriddle... that's when I discovered THERE WAS NO SAUSAGE! Just the buns!! One main ingredient I paid for that I didn't get in my meal. I worked a long and hard 8 hours- all I wanted was to relax and enjoy a good breakfast when I got home and all I got were the buns!
