Happily will give 4 stars, as I have met a lot of friends randomly here and the food never misses, lol! But the food also isn't the healthiest so it's rare I go to this location, but when I've eaten here the service is amazing, no issues, nice people. No loud sounds or anything to do with a bad atmosphere in the restaurant, always been a relaxing place to eat the few times I've eaten here. Saturday 9/13 Arrived 10:25 to get a breakfast sandwich, Egg McMuffin. Arrived from Taco Bell across the street who couldn't do breakfast so this was my second choice. As I sat at the pay window waiting to pay I noticed a young man working feverishly standing at the toaster trying to seperate English muffins that where quite steamy and I could tell, hot as he was trying to cool his hands and rip the muffins open. Blowing on his poor hands to cool them in between muffins. I thought oh no, not another store grappling to meet the breakfast service. They must have zapped them too long in a microwave or oven ti be that hot. I then moved to the pick up window, and sat there listening to 2 females having an extremely loudly discussing a customer who apparently just left. Then one walked by the window and saw ne then said can you move up to the next spot and I'll bring it out when it's ready. So I did and waiting about 5 more minutes. I got my meal and contemplated opening to check the sandwich but just wanted to get out of there. I drive down the road and took the sandwich out, I needed to just take a bite as I had taken medicine earlier and really needed something else on my stomach. Well, that was when I realized the muffins had to have been microwaved beyond repair. I could not take a bite, and in trying to the sausage and cheese slid everywhere and fell apart all the while the muffin was solidly inedible. It would not bite through, tear off, rip apart, nothing. What a mess. All I wanted was so simple, and breakfast is supposed to be avail until 10:30 am. No more, will I go to this location, which is rare, it has always been disappointing, I've had other problems in the past, when I only order one thing and for some reason they can't get my orders right. This part town very much needed some options unless you consider service station coffee and breakfast sandwiches under a heat lamp appealing. Located inside the split of State Road 19 and 561 it may seem like an odd location but I personally like the multiple entrance and exit points as well as the dual lanes drive thru ordering and pick up windows. I've driven through a number of time and I've always found the staff to be friendly and somewhat efficient- any issues I experienced were mostly customer driven (not ready to order when they drive up - not ready to pay once they arrive to pick up their order or adding on too their order once they get to the window). The products I've gotten here were always fresh and presented correctly- there's nothing better than hot McDonald's fries and I've even become fond of their coffee lately- the grounds are well maintained and the modern design is quite appealing. Yes I know it's still a McDonald's but in my opinion it's one of the few fast food restaurant chains that has worked hard to reinvent itself. I'll continue stopping at this location when in the area. Went yesterday morning before a doctor's appointment and they were so fast and so friendly. The food was some of the best I've ever had at any McDonald's. Soft biscuits, not hard, and the English muffin was still soft and not burnt around the edges. The iced coffee was PERFECTION! So creamy and the perfect amount of flavoring and coffee. Went through the double drive-thru, as they are still not open for indoor dining. Ordered 2 cheeseburgers, a filet-o-fish and a large fry. Two windows, one to pay and one to get the order. They didn't have the fries ready so we had to pull around. They were at least hot when they came out, but seems like they should have fries always ready. We were visiting family in Tavares when this all occured. My wife and I went to pick up the food after ordering online. The curbside was the worst, they almost gave someone else our food they argued about the order number.We get back with the food and me and my two boys tear into it. We were almost done with our meals and my wife noticed her burger was pink. Big NO NO acording to the Mcleader at coorporate. McDonald's should fire everyone that works the graveyard shift. It's posted 24 hour drive through but between 2-4am you'd be lucky to have anyone answer the drive through. I was there last night at 1:20 am. No one manning the drive through, lobby was locked, all the lights were on, but not a single employee visible. We arrived at 12:15 after a long flight and was excited when we saw they were a 24 hour open service McDonald's. However, the employees blocked off the drive way while they were cleaning up. They had no interest in providing us service. If you aren't open 24 hour, you should consider changing the signs on your property. read more

Was passing by to go to an away soccer game. It took them 20 mins to get me two McGriddle meals/ 2 burritos (meal) and a hot cake plate with (2 extra hash browns). So keep in mind this is 5 hashbrowns total. After getting some bags and them telling me "have a good day" ...I rushed to check and realized I didn't have a McGriddle or (so i thought) my two extra hashbrowns. Waited an extra 5 mins and Had to rush to get to game but as were eating, we realize we're still missing three hashbrowns that were supposed to come with the meals! This location is closest my home so I frequent this place often. Sometimes for a meal, sometimes for a drink or two. The service has been all over the place as of late. I've stopped 6 times in the last 2 weeks. Service was very slow 4 of those visits. The last 3 visits I have asked for holiday pies with hrs ranging from 9p to 12a. Not one time have they had pies. I asked for a shake one visit and guess what? Their machine was down. I searched their website and no where can I find that they have a limited menu after hours so why is it so hard for them to have their menu items available at any given time they are open which is 24hrs?! Maybe someone's pregnant wife wants a holiday pie and a vanilla milkshake at 2 in the morning! It should be available! I waited 17 minutes for a McRib meal one day and when I asked "where's my food?" was when they told me they RAN OUT of McRibs! WHAT?! They could have told me that 16 minutes before then!!! I guess this is what I'll be doing from now on when I get poor service or can't purchase an item that is ON their menu!! Maybe, just maybe, corporate could help things along a little better as well!? I came to this store with with a fundraiser coupon from The Tavares football discount card (mind you this is the Tavares McDonald's). The manager said they would not honor the card.
