While my family and friends were vacationing in Hayward a few weeks ago, my friend, our kids and I stopped here for breakfast. We all took turns ordering and all sat down and ate a pleasant breakfast. The cashiers were nice and fast. My food was typical McDonald's food - hot, tasty, and cheap. WOW do I have a review for you... this McDonalds is an abomination to the franchise. We order online 30 min before arriving, we go inside because the drive through line was out the door on the interstate, we needed to be in Des Moines before 7:30 for a show at Casey's center. We get inside an THE ORDER HASN'T EVEN BEEN STARTED!!! Anyways we get our food 45 min after we ordered. The food was cold the buns were crunchy the cookies were crushed to smithereens. I understand there are accidents and a lid of a drink can not be on properly... but continuing to tilt a drink onto someone's hand, seeing it's clearly spilling on the customer, is so rude. The food tasted excellent! My order consisted of a large variety of items, including sandwiches, chicken, fries, and ice cream, and it was all brought out within 5 minutes, while only a few workers were working, and during rush hour with multitudes of people in line alongside me. If I could give zero stars, I would. This was the worst McDonald's experience I've ever had. It took over 20 minutes for our food, which is ridiculous. To make things worse, they made our coffee wrong. When we finally got the remake, they tried to make up for the delay with a coupon for a free coffee -- only for us to find out it was expired. To top it all off, there was a hair in my food. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. Truly disappointing. read more

People are nice, food is fine. I've never eaten here and waited less than half an hour though. Just got my food after waiting over 45 minutes and they forgot half the order. After waiting for so long the fries are stale and the sandwich is only lukewarm. we went in friday around 730 pm for dual purposes, ice cream and bathroom break. the bathrooms were decent. my problem is I've have elderly parents that neither one are sure on their feet and they had mopped the floor and it was super slippery. couldn't you wait until you closed to mop? then I waited forever to get someone to take my order, a cup of vanilla ice cream. I gave a $5 dollar bill and they had to go get ones. which took quite awhile. then they gave me a cone, so I asked for a cup, then I had to ask for a spoon, for crying out loud, use your heads. We won't stop there again. tables were clean, floor was clean. sign says they wear masks and gloves, but there were employees without gloves, which I much prefer, but don't say you are if you aren't. read more

This is not so much a review of this McDonald's food or it's employees, but rather a review of it's bathroom. I was driving from New Orleans to Minneapolis in early 2007, and had to stop here to take an emergency poop. This McDonald's had by far the worst restroom I've ever stepped foot in, let alone pooped in. Dirty, small, and very poorly stocked with the necessary bathroom supplies (Toilet Paper, Soap, Paper Towels, etc), I would rather poop in my pants than use this bathroom again. When I said earlier that this review was not about this McDonald's employees, I lied, because it is in fact a review of whoever was responsible for the custodial services here in Feb. of 2007. That person gets a 1 star review in my book, and I hope that they have since been fired, or learned to treat their job with more respect and diligence. We Dined In on our way back to Des Moines and our customer experience was exceptional. Patty our server was a model for excellent customer service!!! She went out of her way to fine a happy meal toy that my son saw and wanted. Then delivered some coloring books to our table, which was totally unexpected. I've dined here a couple of times on my way thru. The wait for food is always long. In May when my husband and I stopped here we went in to use the restroom. My husband ordered and it was over 10 minutes to get our food. We only ordered two meals to go. Didn't understand. Tons of people were waiting inside. But yet the drive thru was in and out. Other then having the food take a while to get while trying to get on the road but the food was good and kind people.

Must have been a change in management or employees here, but the performance has consistently been much improved. Drive-thru in particular is able to deliver the goods promptly and without mistakes. I've returned to looking at this location as an option for quick office breakfasts. read more

Walked into there to get a cup of coffee, stood in line for two other orders first to be put in, they both got their drink cups to get pop, I just order a large coffee and she does not give me any coffee and said I need to wait my turn for orders to be filled. That is poor service! The next person in line at a coffee cup in their hand for a refill and they were able to get that right away. We have had the , fortunate or unfortunate, ability to experience McDonalds all over the U.S . This one is exceptional. The burgers are the actual size of the burger you expect. Not a half dollar sized burger on a smashed over sized bun. The burgers are always very good . They also have no problem making a burger other way you want it..they don't pretend to be brain dead and finally give you the wrong order. read more

Well i think one of the employees named gracie makes really good fries and she is very nice to all the customers but in the other hand one of managers isnt very nice and yells at everybody and thats why they employees have some sass in their step sometimes keep it up employees managers you have some work to do. read more

Stopped here on a trip from DSM to Mpls. The only thing I expect from McDs is efficiency--it's FAST food. Not this place. There were at least 15 different orders milling about, waiting for their food. We waited 27 minutes for 2 happy meals, a cheeseburger, and a chicken sandwich. It seemed to be run by 15 year olds, who weren't excited to there. Initially I thought they were waiting on a batch of fries to finish, but they weren't waiting on anything...just slow.
