Zero is more like it!! Three strikes and never again. This third and final time we ordered happy meal for grandson and 2 cheeseburgers for ourselves. It was 11 am - the very beginning of lunch. Burgers were not even slightly warm. Cheese completely unmelted . Buns dry and old. Terrible!!! I immediately phoned the manager. She said ' oh the cheese probably just came out of the fridge'... ummm, so??! She said the would go check and see 'what was going on back there'. Ridiculous response in my opinion. Couldn't ask for anything more. We stopped at this McDonald's when driving from Minneapolis to the Northwoods. My husband wanted some strong coffee ($1.29, small) and an apple pie ($1.49). Meh service. But we will try this McD's again and give it another chance. My husband, son and I stopped by this McDonald's on our way home from the Northwoods. We used the McD's app to order ahead. When we got to the window, we found out that our order wasn't ready yet. Fine. We parked in the numbered spot that the clerk directed us to. Well 15-20 minutes went by without our food. Turns out they thought we had driven off (despite parking exactly where directed). My husband was able to get a clerk's attention to ask, and our food was brought out shortly thereafter. Hope they can hire some more people and get the service issues worked out. P.S. Please put a changing table in the men's restroom. My husband came in to change our son and ended up having to change him on the sink. Changing tables should be in all bathrooms, not just women's rooms. read more

I have never had a good experience at this McDonald's. Most recently, I used the app to order ahead as I was in a hurry. I was provided a code, and selected the drive-through option. I gave them ample time to prepare my order, went to the drive-through, provided my code, And the employee had no idea what I was talking about. Unable to locate my order. Admitted she was unfamiliar with the app orders. Could I drive ahead so they could prepare my order from scratch. Defeats the entire purpose of ordering ahead. Now my debit card is charged And I don't have the order. I find it. Curious that I rarely choose McDonald's in Spooner for fast food options. And I don't think that I have one positive experience experience with this restaurant. Unfortunate. read more

Came in as an extremely rare treat and instantly regretted not going to St Croix or Pine City. They stole my fiance's phone after accusing him of lying about not getting our $8 iced coffee. He didn't even walk away from the counter before noticing the coffee and he had to tell the manager to look at the receipt as he had it out to help double check the order. After having to argue for a few minutes to get the items we paid for, my fiance forgot his phone, which magically wasn't there 3 minutes later when we came back when it was only an elderly couple or two and the employees. I didn't want to accuse before checking pockets, food bags, and diaper bag and we were in a rush and only came in to use their Wi-Fi to try and log into the app so we could use the deals (app didn't cooperate so we still couldn't use any of the deals AND we're out a phone we can't afford to replace). We did sit at a table while ordering because I'm disabled and not able to stand that long and was also wrangling our toddler and I also saw that the high chairs were filthy (though the manager did clean one when she heard me tell my fiance) and the tables looked like a lot of them had been bussed but not wiped. So the drive thru was so long we went in to get take out. It took more than 10mins to get served and then another 10mins to get our food. Several others who ordered food after us got food well before us. They forgot one fries, the table we sat at was dirty. Only reason it got a 2 star is that its got the new appearance and make over. read more

I have to say in all of the traveling I've done, this had to be the most clean McDonald's I've ever been to and they served the freshest food I've ever ordered. We stopped here in transit for a quick bite for breakfast. It's hard to keep these locations (close to the highway) clean, because of all the traffic coming in and out but they do a fantastic job. Our breakfast seemed like it was literally cooked to order. Pancakes, sausage, biscuits, etc... I would suggest stopping in this location. read more

In an area where the Mom and Pops along with the greasy spoon cafes are King, it's good to see a chain fast food restaurant survive. You'll find this place conveniently located at the crossroads of 70 and 63. I've never been inside and opt for the drive through. I've found the service is faster here than your typical McDonald's. If you're headed North on 53, you might want to take this detour for a convenience stop. read more
