I get to the counter and look up at the display to see where my order was... the status board did not list my order... it had numbers before and after mine. I stood at the cashier for almost 5 minutes but no one acknowledged me. The only reason I stepped back was when I heard the staff mention my order number and to make sure it had the special coffee. Honestly, I don't understand how this particular McDonald's has such bad reviews, it's top tier on the McDonald's scale IMO. Even though this isn't the most convenient location for me, whenever I'm craving McDonald's this is the one I go out of my way for because every time I've ordered here, the fries are piping hot and the quality of mcdoubles and spicy mcChickens are top tier. Last weekend we stopped by in the morning to grab a quick breakfast before a round of golf and this gave me hope in McD's breakfast again. The biscuit on the sandwich was soft and buttery. The hash brown was super crispy. And the sausage mcmuffin was tasty. I got the biscuit sandwich free from points on the McD's app, which honestly is the only way to order at any McDonald's. From the customization, picking your correct amount of sauces, it's a must because they always got deals. The outside area is well maintained, and my experience of ordering via the mobile application, and pickup via the drive through via this and other McDonalds has been consistently good if I check my order before leaving the pickup windows. At their Daly City location i was given the wrong beverage order, but that was quickly corrected. like McDonalds items or not, they are at least mostly consistent, plus if ordering via the Mobile application you can access discounts that help mitigate some of the rampant food inflation / corporate pricing greed, in addition to eliminating most order mistakes. read more

This time, I ordered a Happy Meal for my younger sibling. Even after checking the bag, I noticed right away that the apple juice and toy were missing. This time around I ordered food through the mobile app and let them know my number and name before my phone died and they said no they need to see it and they see no name on their end. This McDonald's is super close to the Costco and it helps that it has a big parking lot. I usually order via the mobile app and go through the drive thru. The process is easy, just let them know the order code and they'll have your order ready. They usually get my order correct on all the times I've went. I think once the drive thru line was crazy long. But other than that, no really complaints with this location. The workers could be a little nicer, at least say thanks. read more

Five stars for the restrooms! About them: - CLEAN -- did not have toilet paper or seat covers on the ground or draped about haphazardly around the trash cans - NO ODOR -- did not have that nasty musty smell of humid disinfectant and old pee like most fast food restaurants have regardless of how tidy they are - OPEN (No Code Needed) -- you don't need a code to get into the restrooms! If I could give 0 stars I would. I spent 30 mins in the drive thru with only me and the car in front of me. After waiting about 17mins to take my order (a coke and medium fries), I pulled up to the window to find the workers talking and laughing, then when they seen me they had both stepped away to where they thought they could not be seen and continued their conversation. Definitely no complaints here. I was driving for Uber near the SFO airport and stopped by to grab a $1 drink. Everything went as expected. The workers are amazing. It was Christmas day of 2021, and raining really hard. An angry old lady in a blue Prius was waiting for her curbside pickup order but they weren't coming out so the lady got really angry and honked her horn for 20-30 minutes, continuously, confusing the employees, other customers, me, and my dog (who was with me in my car) and at one point drove up to the front door to block it. Not sure what her goal was there. I got some parts of this on video from my car. The workers just kept working, not letting her affect them, which I think is admirable. When the cops pulled up, she tried to run away (in her old Prius, yes) but obviously that didn't go her way. At first, there were only 3 police cars and 4 officers but at one point, enough backup was called that there were 8 police cars, 10 officers, a fire truck, and 4 firefighters. The police cars included the supervisor's car and a K9 car but I didn't see a police dog. I don't know why she didn't just go inside or go to drive thru, but I'm not here to explain her actions! The workers handled the situation well, just kept working and let the police handle the unruly customer, who I believe is a menace to society. I stayed and watched since I found it entertaining, to be honest. The workers were nice enough, and everything was typical of McDonald's - I mean, everything tasted the same and the soda machines and restrooms were functional, etc. They also have the kiosks here and drive thru. Shoutout to service workers, who are the backbone of society in many ways. Especially for working holidays in bad weather with entitled customers like this! read more
