I am very concerned, this morning i went through the Drive through at the McDonalds in Seffner. As I was waiting for my food I noticed that only two of the 6 employees working were wearing masks, The supervisor and one other, two other employees had masks on but were using the as chin guards and the other two, which one of them was the young lady that handed me my food had no mask at all. I placed a mobile order for this McDonalds location, I was not able to pick up my order due to being at work. I called and asked my mother to pick up my food for me. When she got to the location she was told by an employee she could not pick it up because she did not have my cell phone. I tried to call the restaurant twice and nobody would pick up the phone. Bottom Line on Top: Shocking drop in quality in a very short period of time. What HAPPENED? I ate at this McD's a couple mornings a week for years. They were reliably quick, served the food hot and fresh, and were really friendly people. Now the food apparently *starts out* stale, no one smiles and the food takes ages to get from under the Heat Lamp of Death an into the car. COVID sux, but restaurants that have always specialised in drive-thru (McD, Checkers, Taco Hell, Wendy's, Hardee's, etc.) had a real chance to wow us. I come here every so often and every time I do the lines are long and it takes way longer then it should to move people along. So long that I have seen people just leave in the middle of the line. Also, even after waiting please do check your order before driving away or leaving because there is a good chance they forgot or messed up your order. Last time I went the fries were very cold and they had forgotten a burger which resulted in us having to go back through the long line. They gave us part of our order and asked us to pull up by the door to receive the rest. By the time they came out with the rest of our order our food we got from the second window had gotten cold and we decided just to head home and call it quits. I will update this review once Ive seen a change. Step up your game McDonalds you've got nothing but 1 star reviews which should call for a change. Went to McD after my shift from work around 1am and the boy at the first window and who was taking orders really had me frustrated. I use my mcd app for a code by a Big Mac and get one free. So I wanted one Big Mac without lettuce and the other one regular as is then a small coke. The boy ask if I wanted a large sweet tea I said no just a small coke and he's like it's the same price if you get a large I said it's okay I want a small coke. (It's 1am I'm tired from work and don't want a large beverage) so I'm waiting in line now and it's so slow the line is moving slow so I finally get to the first window and he's freaking out trying to find a manager for whatever reason and he asked me did I have to Big Macs? I said yes one with lettuce and one without. So I handed him the cash and he's like it's $22 something with the Dr Pepper and all I said that's not right because I used my code buy one get one free. he's like I just deleted that order and I said why did you do that? He said because nobody in line ordered it with the 7 cars that passed through he was over-exaggerating about the 7 cars like it was about 4 cars. I was like I was just in line waiting for my food lol. So he re rings it in and told him the order again and he's like okay go forward to window 2. I drove up to the drive-thru at 10:25 am. I tried to order a quarter-pounder and fries. Should be a no-brainer even for McDonald's employees, but no, it had to be a hassle. I typically won't review fast food restaurants but this establishment awe-inspired. Never have I seen a general manager (Blake L.) as engaged and determined to deliver food to his customers as promptly and accurately. He encourages his employees to do the best job they can praising them when they do a good job and providing them with constructive criticism when improvements need to be made. I was able to witness all of this within the course of a few minutes while waiting for my food. I arrived at a remarkably busy time of day, ordered a grilled chicken wrap and received a crispy chicken wrap. I mentioned the mishap to Blake and was astounded by how professionally and promptly he handled the situation. The establishment is clean, condiments and plasticware are well stocked, and the entire staff seems to coordinate well with one another to ensure customer satisfaction. read more
