I had passed the place on 4th st many times and wondered how another fast food place could compete. Well I'll tell you how: by providing delicious food at reasonable prices with a siincere and happy staff. Their grilled chicken was superb. Only issue and reason for the non 5 star is because we ordered drive thru and when we got home we found out meals were missing that we paid for we should have gone through the whole bag before leaving but didn't because it's Culver's and have only heard good things. read more

Ordered for curbside pickup @10:30. 20 minutes after waiting I go inside to see how much longer the order will take and two boys were clearly goofing off and didn't see a large bag with my order had been sitting behind them. They only gave me excuses "I didn't hear the thing ring" "yeah neither did I!" I didn't express any frustration but they could tell I was upset. They avoided any eye contact with me and did not apologize even though I clearly walked in on them not doing their jobs. 3/24 @10:50 pm I work in restaurant so I'm pretty understanding, however, I watched five cars come through the drive thru and get their order before me. I also saw employees being unprofessional and unaccountable for their actions which is the worst! Do better guys! read more

Great burgers, grilled chicken sandwich and fries! I don't eat fast food often but we decided to use the drive through for a quick meal. There is a ton of items on the menu. It can be overwhelming looking at it. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and my boyfriend got the burger with fries and cheese balls. The chicken sandwich was better than I expected. It was grilled right and the bun was buttered and tasty. I loved the burger even though I wouldn't be able to eat a whole one because they are very very greasy and heavy. The fries were crisp and good. I would pass on the cheese ball fries. They weren't that flavorful. I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 because the line and wait of the drive thru was very long and slow. It took more time getting our meal than if we walked in (I would think). Overall, they have decent food for a quick grab and go meal but it is a bit pricy for fast food. read more

Why on earth is this place rated so low? I have ordered out twice here and it is expensive as **** but absolutely delicious. Both times my food has arrived promptly and still hot and fresh. The burger is moist with toppings. I don't even like cheese on a burger but I get it here because it's so fresh and melty. I believe all dairy products used are fresh from Wisconsin. The fries are the crinkle cut variety and while there could be more of them, they are hot, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and not greasy. Order a "Concrete Mixer" which is a shake. I get chocolate with Oreos and brownies mixed in. Addictive! The chicken tenders are unsurpassed in quality. They use Ken's dipping sauce which must cost them more but it makes all the difference in the world. Get the blue cheese it's like eating chicken cordon blue. My one complaint is that they do not fill up the container of mashed potatoes and gravy. Again do not hesitate to order out from here I think it's highly unlikely you will be disappointed. read more

I stopped by for a root beer float as an afternoon refreshment. I couldn't be more disappointed in what was handed me! Almost $4 for a cup filled 3/4 full of root beer and what appears to be 2 tablespoons of melted cream! What IS this?! No spoon needed! When I approached the "manager" I was informed this is "how it's done" and to "enjoy!" Culver's has lowered their standards and I won't be back. Consider this my farewell gift. read more

I have only gone for custard & curds so far so this review will get updated. I also went when they had been open less than a week. They had managers there from other stores assisting and the line moved quickly (inside). Everyone was friendly. We ordered two single scoops of vanilla and they gave us double scoops or what appeared to be double scoops. I also got an order of cheese curds - it was a mix of cheddar and motz cheeses that are deep friend like little nuggets. The cheese is warm, but not melted. I liked it. If you join their club they give you a free scoop coupon which is nice and ask for your birthday and you can have all your family in one club account which is helpful vs having like 5 accounts. I want to try other menu items as well. Enjoy! read more

We're going to call this one "Lost and Confused in the Culver's Drive-Thru. As a Tampa Bay newbie I have never had Culver's so decided to check out the new 4th St location on National Milkshake Day. Apparently everyone else in the city did too. The drive thru was 8 cars deep when I arrived (and about 15 when I left) so the joint was hoppin. My first suggestion, when you have a drive-thru that long, have an initial menu board so people can figure out what the heck they want before they get to the intercom. Second- I was there for the ice cream. The flavor of the day wasn't listed - it was hard to figure out the combinations for the concretes. Online there are a dozen Milkshake options (malts, etc) the drive thru menu listed vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. Now- it could be that all Floridians have committed the menu to memory and I was just confused as a newcomer, or it could be because this location just opened, who knows. When I get to the window, they read the wrong order, some slight confusion ensues and I'm given an order number tag to put on my car door. Now I'm lost again. I pretty much assume if I go through a drive thru that you're handing me my food at the window, particularly since I only had 3 milkshakes. NOPE! Everyone has to pull around and wait. Baffling. Anyhoo, 17 minutes in total to get the shakes and be on my way. The shakes are tasty. But probably not worth me sitting thru that crazy drive thru line again. read more

The first time I went to a Culver's in the Chicago area I was wowed! I have been to the St. Pete location on 4th St. several times but the last couple times I used the drive thru I have been gravely disappointed. Both times they served me a double burger which I didn't order and tonight the burger was so salty I couldn't eat it! The shake cannot be used with a straw--too thick. Next time I'm gonna choose another burger place. read more

I don't understand what the point of curbside. I order at 11:30 to be ready for 12pm. Get there there only 2 cars in the drive thru. I check in. Get my Salad 20 mins later. More cars come and go thru the drive thru. Next time I do drive thru being on a time crunch it's upsetting my lunch gets cut short read more

First, a friend was confused about why they call them "Butterburgers." It's simply because they butter and toast the buns. The burger patties are not cooked or dunked in butter or anything like that. They put out a decent burger here, reminding me a bit like Steak 'n Shake, but the burger patty is slightly bigger. I enjoy cheese curds but find Culver's to be mostly breading and less cheese than I expected. Some reviews complained about the price? Check your mailbox for coupons. I had a coupon for a BOGO burger and added a large onion rings (it was big enough for 3!) and the total came to just under $10. Was looking for something quick so I decided to try this place. The drive thru situation is interesting. I ordered and then they told me to pull up to the left side of the building and gave me a number. Well I did that but as it turns out I went too far. I think a more clear explanation of where you are to pull up should be given or have a sign somewhere. The food was good, the grilled chicken sandwich had a good flavor and the cheese curds were hot. They didn't say they would charge more for a substitution so there's that. There is ample parking and outside seating. The staff was friendly. It's def not a healthy alternative except for the grilled chicken. All in all a decent place. read more

Katie was extremely helpful. Being that I hadn't been to a Culver's in about 20 years, and none of my four children or my husband had ever been, we were having difficulties deciding what to get. Not only was Katie patient, she offered us a sample of the flavor of the day, made suggestions, and then brought the food to us, and checked on us periodically with a genuine smile! Also, the cooks made our food fresh and accurately (I have picky eaters) without a fuss. The food was good and I will be back because they were so friendly and Katie's hospitality was greatly appreciated. read more

Got the Beef pot roast sandwich fries & coke. Their fountain drinks are almost as good as McDonald's. The brisket sandwich was very moist & tender, service was good. I forgot to get cheese curds but their fries are descent. I would come back if in the area. They also have platters meals, not bad on the prices. read more

Well-versed on the menu and a very pleasant lady. It's certainly not a fancy place and it looks like it's been around for a while, but it's the kind of place where you might like to hang out at the bar. Everyone there seems to be friendly and you get that comfortable feeling. We had a variety of food items, some better than others but nothing below average. Really good salads, as you can see by the pictures, a nice job on the chicken wings, a BLT that was pretty tasty; the butternut squash soup was OK, pretty thick and not hot at all. One was returned to the kitchen to be heated up. There was a chicken dip that really didn't hit the spot, and the tortilla chips that came with it seem to be past their prime. As for the fried mushrooms. I found them pretty much ordinary. A nice surprise were the brussels sprouts with balsamic and goat cheese. Really really good. Overall, I would give the food about a 3 1/2 stars at the service five stars so what averages out around four stars. Like I said it looks like a nice place to hang around and have a couple of beverages and a little something to eat.

This time (Apr 2026) we started with a creamily delicious ice-cold nitro beer. It was Milk Bone stout, locally crafted, toffee-flavored and lightly sweet from lactose. Pinellas Ale Works says it's almost a cafe con leche :-). It looks like they serve a larger pour of nitro-Guinness, if you like. Y'know, small nitro bubbles (around 25% to 30% CO2) create a smooth mouth-feel and, to me, seem much easier to imbibe than most beers' carbonation (100% CO2). Many places don't put in the extra equipment to serve nitro beers, so Thank You to The Burg! Their eat-in special is different every weekday. On this Wednesday (Apr 2026), it was $2 off their Cuban. Thin tender flavorful ham, pork, and salami, lightly bite-y Swiss cheese, and bright tart pickles, with plain yellow mustard & mayo. All pressed into hot bread. Perfectly savory and delicious! Except ... It wasnt Cuban bread, or any crusty bread, it was a hoagie roll :-( The bread wasnt even toasted! Hey! Mostly-excellent Burg, This is Tampa Bay, home of Cuban sandwiches! Do it right! Dunno if it was just an off-day bread-wise? My nearly-perfect Burg, please tweak this one thing. Yet they still earned that 5th star with their freshly hand-made very good lightly-seasoned crispy crispy Burg chips. We live for crunch! And you can upgrade the side to black-beans and rice, so, yeah, on target :-) And they let us go slightly off-menu with a BLT, which on the menu is part of a soup and sandwich combo. Lots of hot thin crispy bacon, sweet fresh tomatoes and lettuce, on lightly toasted bread. Very satisfying. The Burg Bar & Grill is pleasantly relaxed with a nicer-than-divey feel.
