Go Teal. The only McDs in the world with teal arches. While in Sedona do as the Sedonas do. Actually, I doubt they go. The tourists sure come. Located in the Safeway shopping center where Sedonuts is. Typical McDs. Just small. I feel the need to warn you. The rocks around the blue sign are not friendly. I slipped and fell and ended up with a huge hemotoma on my shin. Thats what I get for face timing my bf.
When visiting new places, I'm eager to experience new dining destinations; McDonald's would not be on my list. However... I wanted to see this location, the only one in the WORLD with TURQUOISE (vs. the traditional golden) arches (due to city ordinances ensuring that structures don't intrude with the natural scenery). Initially, my plan was simply to take a photo of the exterior; however, after doughnuts, some McDonald's fries sounded real good. The facility was very clean. I so wish I'd noted the name of the person who assisted us (my thoughts are he is a manager), who greeted and treated everyone in line cheerfully, positively, and respectfully -- even referring to me by name! And... our order (ahh, fresh-off-the-frier fries and cold iced teas) was delivered to our outdoor table, where we were later checked on. Wow, what fantastic service at this fast-food restaurant!
Going Teal !! We were told you have to see the McDonald's with a teal M. This place was crowded it was a mix of ordering food to go and waiting go get a photo with the teal arches. Now for it being extremely busy they handled it with easy. There were Kind and courtesy. Helped deliver the food to people with numbers waiting's There was some chaos at the order counter and the lines to know who's ordering or not was somewhat confusing. They did their best to calm the confusion. We had a great time people watching , which is a pastime for us lol. In all this was a nice place to come if you want to see the Teal arches

After coming across a few Instagram reel, I had to bookmark this McD's to experience it for myself in real life. It felt like Deja vu, and I was so excited to visit. Why is this the only McDonald's with the Teal colored arches and not golden, The reason for this deviation is Sedona's strict architectural guidelines which aim to preserve the natural beauty of the area. City officials required the restaurant to change its arches from yellow to avoid clashing with the scenic red rocks. I am LOVING it, the teal arches. After looking around, checking it out, taking our tons of photos, and came across a bunch of visitors too, we went in to McD's, for bathroom break and ordered some breakfast , we don't want to just come to see the arches, wanted to experience the fast food at Mcd too. hehe. This Mcdonald's location seems smaller to me but it does its job. Check it out, it is the only McDonald's in the world with teal arches. I didn't come ready/prepared with having teal for my photo opt, this means my hubby will have to take me back again, next time. Hehe,
I FINALLY made it back after 2 years!! You already know why I came, lol, but if you don't, duhhh... it's because this McDonald's in Sedona is the only one in the world with TEAL arches!! Anything teal/turquoise/blue is my jam!! It so happens that I was gifted a custom pair of Vans for Christmas. It goes perfectly with one of my Lulu half zip pullovers. Soooo, I have been on a mission to come here just to get pics with these famous arches! People from all over come here just to snap pics. I did also order a Happy Meal for the heck if it. They forgot my apple slices, but they always taste like poison to me anyway. The Minion toy was cute! You can order at the counter or from a kiosk. Your order comes out in minutes. I'm not sure when I'll be back, but anytime you're in Sedona, you gotta at least do a drive by! If you want to be naughty, hit up Sedonuts just a few steps away. You're welcome!! My Sedona McD trip is now finally off my bucket list! =)
We stopped eating at restaurants at some point during our trip because it was costing so much and we decided to save the money for experiences and just get food from grocery stores and fast food. This is the only McDonalds on the planet with blue arches so the decor would complement the landscape better and because of this the kids immediately noticed it and wanted to eat here. There is a small placard inside with a QR code where you can buy souvenirs specific to this McDonalds but we didn't see anything being sold inside. It's very small inside and ordering is done on two kiosks. Even at 4 pm it was overly crowded inside and it took very long to get our to go order. We should have checked the Happy Meals more carefully before leaving but we asked for plain cheeseburgers and got onions and pickles, there were no apples, and only 1 of the boxes had a toy in it.
Super fun McDonald's to go to because of the turquoise sign. It feels like it's a must of Sedona. That being said, with that many visitors this place needs a good scrub top to bottom. All the tables and floors are so sticky. We ordered happy meals for the kids and they seemed to enjoy them.

I honestly thought it had something to do with the native land bearers and their penchant for the color and jewelry. PURCHASE McDonald's: #6 Filet O' Fish Meal w/Medium Fries + Upgraded Lemonade Medium ($11.99 + $1.30): It was my no-meat Friday, and I generally was a fan of their fish sandwich, so this was the only real option I had. The sandwich was considerably smaller than I remembered, it had a slight mushiness about it, the cheese slice wasn't melted at all, lacked flavor except for the tiny amounts of tartar sauce, but at least the bun was nice and fluffy but not toasted. The skinny spud sticks were plentiful, crispy, hot, and had a nice amount of salt on them while no catsup was needed. The lemonade was fine, but when did it become a premium!? Lastly, this was a pricey meal! Checked off the world's only blue-themed McDonald's. There's definitely something special about Sedona. Honestly, the McDonald's tastes exactly the same as everywhere else though. What's funny is that the ordering system here doesn't even show pictures for the signature blue drinks and food items. People say the blue specialty drink tastes like cough syrup mixed with peppermint oil. Just grab one for the photo -- don't set your expectations too high. Still, no regrets. Since I was already here, I had to check it out. read more

Here is the only McDonald's arch that isn't red, but turquoise. We took our obligatory pictures with the arch, along with other people. Then we proceeded to go inside the small building where I enjoyed a vanilla cone. read more

Just a regular McDonald's.... But with blue/turquoise arches. If you eat outside you have a nice view. There are a lot of homeless people outside. The guy pouring our drink just hit the button and left, which the cup was overflowing so our cup was sticky. The place was messy. But we really did just go for the blue arches lol. read more
This is a non-standard McDonald's and that is very cool. It's got teal arches to match the southwestern look of Sedona. Inside it is just a normal McDonalds. It has a clean, modern look. Honestly it's really busy inside with people coming for the non-standard look. The staff did a great job keeping up. However there needs to be more seating inside. The indoor dining room is half the size it felt like it should have been. Also you MUST order on kiosks and all the parents with small children really slow the ordering line down. Cashiers taking orders is just faster for the type of crowd at this McDonald's. But that's not what was there, so it took forever. All my food was hot and fresh, except my McDouble. It was definitely under a lamp for a long time. Otherwise very standard McDonald's food. I'd recommend coming here just for the non-standard look. Very few McDonald's in the world are non the standard look. This is one of them. Be prepared for a wait and to be cramped in the small dining room. read more

Super busy. There are only to single use restrooms that have a line backed up through the eating area when busy. Can be uncomfortable when dozens of people are next to your table while trying to eat. But a fun stop while road tripping. Food is the normal fare. Nuggets are good! read more

The prettiest McDonald's I've ever visited, and I was impressed with their famous and unique signs. Our meal was great, food was solid! That being said, it was kinda cramped, crowded and chaotic. There were so many people wandering around and it's kinda small inside. I understand they had a morning rush, however no one was wiping down any tables. A nearby group collected a hefty blob of hand sanitizer and used it to clean their table. This McDonald's had a large outdoor patio but it was way too hot to sit outside. The bathrooms are also small, only one stall so the line was long. The bathrooms had no toilet seat covers and the soap dispenser was super low... too low for all the people waiting in line. read more
Ok... y'all... before you drag me out to hang. Can ya just hear me out first? Literally, don't come at me just yet! This is the best McDonald's I've ever been to. Here's the deal. It's McDonald's. You're gonna get the exact same food at every single McDonald's you go to. It's nostalgic junk food for the masses. You know they add crack to their fries and extra "Coke" to their drinks. It is what is it. I'm here for it and "I'm lovin' it." However, this McDonald's is not like the other girls. No. this one stands out because... their Golden Arches are not gold. Sedona was like, "Screw off, homies. We don't care if you are a multibillion dollar corporation. Red and Yellow look crap together and you are not going to place that color combo in our beautiful town. "So you can't sit with us" with that hideous outfit on. McDonald's was like..."Yo, why are you screaming at us? We get it. We don't like those coordinating colors either but it would cost too much to change for the entire world so we just kept it. Don't worry, Broski... we got chu..." And this, my children, is how Sedona got the one and only Turquoise arches in the entire world. I know, right?!?! McDonald's even took it a step further and consciously dedicated the turquoise color of the arches to the actual Turquoise rocks that the Native Americans in Sedona have valued for many generations. I know y'all think I'm like this incredibly intelligent historian/ foodie. I know, I sound pretty smart. But I literally just got this info from a guy named Cowboy Joe on one of these Jeep tours that cost me and an arm and a leg. Stay tuned for that next post. Peace! read more

This place was cool to visit being that it is the only McDonald's that doesn't display yellow arches. After doing some research, I discovered that it is due to the fact that city planner didn't want the yellow arches to clash with the natural beauty of the canyons. Instead, they opted for a light blue that would not clash with the neutral tones of the natural surroundings. Pretty cool! This McDonald's was your average McDonald's for the most part? other than the teal arches. We arrived around 10:30/10:45 and I was surprised that breakfast was not still being served. (maybe this is all McDonald's - not sure) However, the cashier told us we could still order pancakes or breakfast burritos. I am from NJ and not sure if we have breakfast burritos back home but I ordered them & they were pretty good! There were manyyyy customers & lots took pictures in the front with the signage. We did have a bit of trouble finding parking and lucked out and got a table even though the place was packed. read more
Came here specifically for the blue arches. Known as the only McDonald's in world without the signature golden arches, this place stands out with its unique blue. I read a little on the history behind it...apparently the city thought the gold color would clash with the surrounding red rocks and natural environs, so they opted for turquoise, a color more fitting for Sedona's natural color scheme. Other than the turquoise arches on the big sign, the receipt, napkins, etc, it's like any other McDonald's in the world. Same fast service and same fast food, just less gold and more turquoise. read more
A very nice McDonalds located in Sedona. The restaurant is very clean and the hand sanitizers are full (not the case in many McDonalds) . The restrooms were very clean as well. We didn't have to wait foe our food, and the order was correct. Staff was friendly read more
