We liked the honey cardamom latte way more, as the salted maple latte was FAR TOO SALTY and detracted from the maple syrup and coffee flavors of the drink. And this is coming from someone who LOVES salted coffees. It was just far too overpowering. The honey cardamom was mildly sweet, with almost overpowering cardamom. Overall, very cute coffee shop with interesting specialty flavor recipes, but I didn't love the execution. Next time I'm in Sedona I'd consider coming back, but I wasn't utterly thrilled with my experience this time.

And then there's Cup Town Coffee in Sedona, Arizona, quietly getting it exactly right. Let's start there. The coffee was brewed and served at the perfect temperature. Not "wait ten minutes before you can sip it" hot. Not "did this sit on the counter?" warm. Just right. Bravo. It feels like such a small thing until someone nails it, and they absolutely did. We ordered the Cupid's Mocha, a dark chocolate and strawberry combo that could have gone very wrong in lesser hands. Instead, it was rich, balanced, and just sweet enough without feeling like dessert in a cup. Chocolate forward with a subtle strawberry finish. It tasted intentional. Thoughtful. Like someone actually cares about what lands in the mug. We took our drinks outside, grabbed a seat, and soaked in that ridiculous Sedona mountain view. And honestly, what's better than sitting next to the person you love, sipping a perfectly made mocha, staring at red rock formations that look like they were painted by someone showing off? Five stars. Great coffee, perfect temperature, and a view that makes you want to cancel the rest of your day. Cup Town gets it right.

The person who made our coffee took time out to bring a plastic bowl out for our puppy to drink from as we sat outside. Six stars! My mom ordered the house Chai which she said was good. We also ordered the lemon poppy seed muffin which looked spectacular but was underwhelming, the blueberry muffin which was okay, and the cherry lemon scone which was pretty good. The parking situation is pretty tight as well, so be aware of that. Probably won't return to this place during the remainder of our trip, but the staff was very nice.

This is one of my must visits in Sedona…read more We initially found them during the ridiculous worldwide sickness days during a road trip escaping the tyranny of California. They were a much needed respite, who were reasonable, understanding and didn't need a bunch of unnecessary rules. Their offerings are outstanding and just what I would be offering if this were my cafe. Great chocolates, great drinks, great atmosphere, super people that work there and are engaging. Each time we've been back in town we've visited and brought our friends. Truly an oasis in the desert.

After visiting the Pink Jeep tour, we headed over and immediately loved the vibe. The restaurant has a funky, eclectic feel that's full of personality, and we ended up sitting outside on the back patio, which was such a great atmosphere. It felt relaxed and distinctly Sedona. I'll address something that may be helpful for other travelers. As we were leaving, a group of women mentioned to us that they had experienced some prejudice during their visit. As a Black couple, that naturally gave us pause and stayed in the back of our minds while we were there. That said, I can only speak to our own experience, and throughout our visit we felt welcomed, comfortable, well-served, and completely taken care of. We saw a diverse mix of guests and staff, and everyone we interacted with was kind. I mention it only because I know other travelers may be looking for that perspective when researching places to visit when from out of town. Now for the food. The fresh-baked biscuits were massive and absolutely delicious. I also really enjoyed the coffee, and I have to mention the mugs because they were surprisingly cute and added to the charm of the experience. Of course, the real star here is the omelet menu. There are over 100 omelets to choose from, and as people who love a good omelet, we were in heaven. Our meals were excellent, and honestly, I wish we'd had more time in Sedona because I would have happily come back to work my way through several more options. When a restaurant specializes in something and does it well, I usually stick to what they're known for. Between the unique atmosphere, great coffee, giant biscuits, and seemingly endless omelet choices, The Coffee Pot ended up being one of our favorite breakfast stops in Sedona. If we ever make it back, it's definitely on the return list.
