My go to McDonald's! As of late, I have dined inside. Every time we have gone to eat inside, I have always had a good experience. The kiosks are great to order your food. However, if you still want to order at the counter, you can do so. The staff always look like they're working hard. I think he is a manager, but the one guy is always hustling around. Food has always come out hot and fresh. I've had fish fillet sandwiches, to fries, to chicken nuggets, and even a sundae. Everything has always tasted great. Beverage station has good options and is usually pretty clean. Easy to grab your ketchup and napkins, etc. Inside is updated and there is a good kids section. Bathrooms are OK. They definitely seem like they've been getting some wear and tear. Other than that, it's fast food! We aren't expecting Michelin star quality. read more

Why the 1-2 star reviews?!? I came here SPECIFICALLY to try the brand new Frozen Sprite with my cousin. And let me tell you...IT WAS THE BEST DRINK EVER!!! Everybody in my family loved it, and it looked very appealing! The burgers were amazing! I got a 1/4 pounder, and my cousin got a double cheeseburger. It was very good! The fries were pretty good, but it wasn't that crispy, but still was very acceptable! We ate inside of the restaurant, and the restaurant looked very modern and beautiful! Horrible, horrible McDonald's. In late January I went through the drive thru and ordered a diet Coke. When I tasted it, it was clearly regular. I went back through the drive thru and was given another regular Coke. Instead of driving through a third time I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager to let her know that I had been given a regular again and that they should check their machines. She offered to give me a replacement diet Coke the next time I came through. She said she would put my name in the "manager's book". Cool, I thought that was a good resolution. Well today I went through the drive thru and explained I wanted to redeem my replacement diet Coke. I waited a few minutes and the worker came back and told me that my name had been crossed off. I said that this was the first time I had been back and it shouldn't be crossed off. He said there was "nothing he could do". So I asked to speak with the manager and she was IMMEDIATELY very combative. She told me when my initial visit was (was never told there was any type of "expiration") and again that my name had been crossed off. I told her again that I had absolutely NOT redeemed my replacement as today was the first time I have been in the area again. Instead of giving me the replacement they basically implied that I was lying. Then they had me sitting at the drive thru, not saying anything. Cars were backing up behind me so I asked if they were going to do anything and they said "there was nothing they could do". Well, I hope a $2 diet Coke is worth a horrible rating and contacting corporate over the absolutely horrific service at this location. I will NEVER go to this location again. If you're starving, these portions are so small they'll be McGone-alds in 60 seconds! Sometimes I just want some McDonald's french fries- and this was one of those times. This particular location is right next to a Tim Hortons that I happened to be getting coffee from to split with my travel companion - and so we got some french fries and they actually went fast. Yum. He actually gave them us piping hot, and I can't really ask for much more than that. 2019-09-21. McDonald's. Rochester Hills, MI. So I didn't dine here, just stopped by because my kids wanted to check out the playland. The place has definitely been renovated. They have the self ordering and payment kiosks and a fresh look to their dining area. I wasn't even going to check in, but after seeing the really low rating decided to do so and post some updated pics of the place. The playland is really small, another example of engineering at its finest, compacting a slide and climbing apparatuses into such a small footprint. The dining area is brighter than most McDonald's and the new furniture leaves the place really spacious. Real flowers are the centerpiece on every table (not including the ones in the kids playland) which is why I'm giving this location a 4 star rating. Over the years, McDonald's food has gotten so bad, that even the thought of eating here turns my stomach. Growing up, it wasn't so bad, and was reliable for a solid, quick meal that I could rely upon when in a hurry to snarf something down. I don't come here often, even though it's close to my home. But, sometimes, despite better judgement I swing in to see if the food is still bad. It is. At least it's still consistently bad, right?! The staff here has been fine when I've circled through here, but even their coffee tastes icky. Not just this McDonalds, but all. Back in the 1990's, I used to LOVE their coffee. Then, they tried to compete with Starbucks by switching to a fancier French Roast, and I quit liking it. This location is okay. This was just a standard McDonalds experience for me, nothing particularly good or bad about it. I used the drive thru and things moved, but a little slower than I normally experience. At least the food was still warm when I reached the window for my order. I didn't get much of the smiling faces experience either. I can't comment on the interior or cleanliness since I didn't actually go in. What I saw on the exterior in the drive thru lane and the parking area was about what I normally see at any McDonalds unless they've just had someone make the cleanup trip to tidy things up. I would say overall this was not my worst McDonalds experience although after looking at some of the other reviews I may have hit on one of the better days. I did a McDelivery order and the fries were all soggy and cold and the nuggets were kind of crispy but also cold. They gave a decent amount of condiments and the frozen coke and McChicken were pretty decent. Wish the food tasted fresher, honestly tasted like it was sitting next to a heater for a long time and not even heated up. read more

Easily the worst McD in town. Ordered at the drive through menu and was told to wait. Couple minutes later the guy came back 'on the line' to take my order again. When I told him he already did he said I'm not the only customer he had (there was one car at the window and the other lane wasn't open so I'm not sure who he's referring to) and to not get upset with him. Went here hoping to purchase three of the Grimace's Birthday Meal's. I was very rudely informed that they no longer offer the Grimace's Birthday Meals. There are two ordering lanes, I was in the right lane, the left lane was empty, then two cars pulled up in the left lane, both ordered successfully while I had to wait. Too bad zero stars is not an option. I just went through the drive through to get my son something and ordered myself an egg mcmuffin. It was so stale, it was literally inedible. I could hardly bite into the muffin and the ham was chewy. I tried to call the manager to tell them to throw out their current mcmuffins, but OF COURSE, no one answered. We have CONSISTENTLY had bad service/erroneous orders or bad food here. I keep making a mental note never to come here again and I keep doing it and they keep living up to their horrible reviews! I haven't been to this McDonald's during lunch. Knowing fast food restaurants are normally fast with putting out orders, this one was extremely slow. I ordered in the drive thru. We ordered a #2 with ketchup only, with only 3 cars in front of me we waited 10 minutes to get to the pickup window. We waited another 8 to 10 minutes to get the actual food. The bag was correct but the ability to call yourself fast food was extremely limited. read more

I had not gone to them much before they started construction... but since then it's been terrible. Slow, always backed up, and one of the ladies gave me a hard time over 6 cents... I always have to pull forward to get my meal (which I have to wait like 10 minutes for) and the employees are very unhappy and sometimes snotty. Today, the guy at the pay window didn't even have enough change for me, I needed 75 cents! How do you not have change in the drawer when your dining area and registers aren't even open? It really needs to improve, and I hope once all the construction is done, it will. I would start with 99% new staff (the guy, even though he was short change, is pretty cool.) read more

Food is like every other mc donalds. The rate here is because they always give the wrong toys with the happy meal. Today they have on display the shopkins collection and they gave us a minion. When they had the ponies they gave us some random dinosaur, etc etc. They have the play area which makes it more bearable when you have kids. But if your kiddos are coming because they want the toy as well, forget it, you'll get one from the movie that came six months ago or more. Horrible experience today! I paid over $15 for a small coffee and two bunless chicken sandwiches with limp lettuce that was turning black. We went through the drive-thru, stopping at three different windows -order, payment, receiving- and it was like getting your food through a hole in the wall of a maximum security prison. The order was over 50% WRONG. We ordered one bun less Chicken sandwich, one regular chicken sandwich, two bunless hamburgers with extra pickles and a small coffee. They did not include either hamburgers, none of the pickles and they left out a bun on one chicken sandwich. I tried calling them half a dozen times to explain and, conveniently, the call never went through and the line automatically hung up. We finally pulled up to order and the woman working waited until the clock turned to 11:01 and then proceeded to tell us we couldn't order because it was passed closing time. Would give this place negative stars if I could. Horrible customer service, even for a McDonald's! The cashier messed up my order and rang up a more expensive McMuffin than I wanted. I caught the mistake immediately on the receipt while I was still at the cashier, and she would not correct my order. She did not ask what size I wanted for my coffee and I ended up with a different size than my boyfriend, who ordered at the same time. This place is absolutely terrible. I tried to order the buy one, get another for a $1 and the lazy cashier was too lazy to input the second set for another 10 chicken nuggets. (First set costs $4.39 second set costs $1 for a total of $5.39). So after realizing that she only input the first ten pieces for $4.39 I go up to point out her mistake and she completely ignores me. Just goes, I can't do that anymore and says the deal does not work when it's up on her menu, and on Mcdonalds website. Asking another employee to fix the problem or give me a refund, she says she will go look into the problem. After fifteen minutes of waiting it became obvious she was trying to ignore me. Completely terrible service and the food isn't that good either. Go to any other fast food restaurant in Rochester but don't give money to these lazy,lying, people at this location.
