I'm definitely checking yelp first from now on. We dined in. We are a family of six and that means a larger order than usual. We get that. My daughter is lactose-intolerant, so we ordered her an iced-coffee WITHOUT cream. When it arrived, it didn't look correct, so she asked and it took THREE PEOPLE to finally get a solid "Nope. Right side drive thru lane neglected while 7 cars bypass me on the left. Called the store while in the drive thru and was asked to come in. I'm amicable, reasonable. I come in and stand by the counter for 7 minutes and no assistance. Close the damn right drive thru lane if it's too difficult to alternate for the current team or management to navigate, retrain staff. Good at this establishment is why I always come here as opposed to other McDonald's in Waco, it's always more accurate. This won't stop me from continuing to come to this location, but lord drive thru is a mess. As I wait for my food there are other patrons inside the store waiting for assistance to order their food. One guy left. Ooof. They do not appear short staffed, but hey maybe they are.... Correction two customers just left. McDonald's always get my order wrong .. this time is was different, they gave me everything I asked for and my order is usually pretty complicated so in the rare chance I do get all of my order at another McDonald's their mad and will just sling everything in the container. I have to get a burger with no bun because I have celiac disease. A lot of the time they don't read no bun and get frustrated they have to start over. Not here. Then, when I'm about to pay, I can see the cashier stressing out trying to take the orders behind me because it got busy all of a sudden. I love McDonalds food. This was my first real job back in California, when I was 17. I truly enjoy their work ethic and basic fundamentals. But things have changed since 1975. Today most McDonalds have an order screen for you to request your meal and pay. This reduces the number of cashiers required to physically take your order. After ordering my food and paying by card, I waited patiently for my receipt to appear. A legal record of my "Proof of Purchase", detailing exactly how I wanted it. Two mins go by and nothing. I bring it to the attention of the one and only cashier up front and he tells me, "the other machines are working". (So it appears they know this machine is not printing receipts) "But I've already made my purchase, so how will you know that I've paid?" I asked. I'm obviously frustrated so he looks at a stack of receipts that are printing out. "Oh"! "These are drive through receipts". He looks around, then he just gives up. So I wait praying that the McDonalds system that help mould me into the young man that I am is still as reliable after all these years. I can see my order on a very small monitor above where the food comes out. I remember the order number was #832. Would have been nice to have my receipt, because I forget things...sorry! Ok, I'm feeling better about this now. Hey... how come, he couldn't have done that? Check the monitor. Few mins later, my order comes up. My faith is restored. Now I don't want to just rant on about this, but here's what I see. McDonalds has a great system going on. There is a method that has been refined over the years to produce a consistent meal each and every time no matter where you are. The human element is the only challenge. So management...heads up, more training is needed so employees can react to unexpected things that happen. Train them to communicate to the lead or manager to avoid a disruption of service. Time is money in this game, so something so simple as taking a moment to refill your receipts paper roll at the "Point of Purchase", your way of collecting revenue I would think should be important, in my humble opinion of course. Otherwise bring back the cashiers. At least then I'd have a witness. Pros: Bathrooms always clean Condiments, always stocked and full Lobby, fairly clean after a lunch rush All employees busy working and focused on their job. I like others will keep coming back. There is still room for improvement. read more

They are lazy, they don't pay any attention to the orders, and don't take accountability for anything. I don't have high expectations for a McDonalds franchise, but I have never stopped at a place so dirty and dangerous from unattended wet floors. We couldn't wash our hands. The drinks didn't come with the meal like every automated ordering McDonalds these days, but even the welcome mat at the door was so greasy that we slid to our car to leave. Bad service. They all don't want to work. They are not communicating to each other. I get my food kids don't have there drinks I don't have my cup. I go back up there and they see me and don't even come ask me if there is a problem or if I need anything. So I have to grab what I need. Then I get back open there food and I order four piece not a two or three piece. Worst McDonald's I've ever been to and that's saying a lot. Fountain machine produced warm, odd tasting soda. No ketchup, no straws, generally in disarray. Soggy fries and burnt chicken nuggets. Most of the seating areas were messy and broken. The staff was inattentive and disinterested. There was screaming and yelling coming from the kitchen. The line of people in front of us was solely made up of people who had already ordered and returned to the counter to complain. This place is awful. This was a major mistake stopping here on our way to Dallas. We went to the bathrooms and they both were filthy, no towels, trash on the floor and it was dangerously slippery. Watch the manager walk out without washing her hands, we should have left then but the food was already ordered. Food arrived right away, fries were overcooked and cold. Fish sandwich was in a chicken sandwich box and had more tarter sauce in the box than on the sandwich, it was a mess.
