a hand holding a half eaten donut

I got a chocolate long John which they filled with vanilla cream for me...they fill your donut on the spot....I also got a boudin and cheese filled kolachese which I later ate at room temperature in my car...It was ok but maybe better warmed up? I wasn't a big fan of their coffee but I did go in right as they were about to close...Prices were quite fair .

Awesome!!

First off, I've read some critical reviews of the donuts and I have to say that if you're looking…read morefor a yeasty Homer Simpson style donut, this isn't the place to get that. The donuts here are croissant donuts so their texture is that of a croissant. Now that I got that out of the way-- Their donuts are flaky, soooft in the center, and full of flavor. These are best eaten warm! If you do take out, pop them in the microwave for 15 seconds or so and they taste just as good as they do in the shop. Our favorites: The Glazed Donut, the Cinnamon Sugar, the Chocolate Iced. My favorite seasonal donuts are the Key Lime, Raspberry Lemon, and Maple Bacon. Tip: their donut holes are huge and sold by the piece. You can order one of each flavor or all of the same. A good move if you're wanting something smaller or you want to try more than one. They have flaky, delicious kolaches made with meat from local barbecue joint Guess BBQ. Our favorite is the Turkey and Colby Jack. They serve Intelligentsia coffee. Not sure what blend it is but it is perfect with their donuts. Their branding is on point. Fun colors and design on everything. Inside is clean and it's been pretty quiet whenever we've been there. A good place to bring your books and study for a bit.

I first heard of Launch Pad espresso from Facebook because their coffee trailer comes to Mcgregor…read moreonce a week which is where I live. I recently moved to Texas so still getting familiar with the coffee shops around here. Due to taking my son to the library during those hours I hadn't been able to try the coffee trailer. So a few weeks ago, I was able to go to their store front in Robinson. I definitely appreciated the sign you could see from the street since there is a lot of traffic on that street and it could be hard if you don't know where you're going. The barista who took my order was sweet and I was so excited that they have a shaken espresso because that was one of my favorite drinks from Starbucks. So I ordered it and was pleasantly surprised that it tasted better than Starbucks! Yesterday I tried the shaken espresso but with PUMPKIN and let me tell you .... it was amazing. I also loved the Bible scripture they put on the coffees, love this place and I highly recommend this coffee shop over any big name coffee places (* cough Starbucks, Dutch bros cough cough *)

They do have restrictive summer hours, 5:30-1:00, but during the school year the hours will be less restrictive! Their menu is huge, there's something for everyone. We ordered the iced latte with sugar free vanilla and coconut, and two orders of their donut bites for the kids. The donut bites were biscuits cut into donut hole sized pieces toss in butter, cinnamon, and sugar. They were a very nice treat and were made fresh! I could definitely see myself making this a monthly stop on mornings when I just don't want to make my own coffee! ***Also for my sugar free friends, they have a very large selection of sugar free flavors!
