Literally a hole in the wall. Service was speedy. The girls were all so nice. Cute little ma and pop type of restaurant. When I saw that the meals were served on plastic plates, is when I knew it was going to be good. I got the cinnamon roll and cake donut. Cinnamon roll was the best I had ever had. Stopped here for breakfast but ended up getting lunch because it looked so good. We had: Cheeseburger on a homemade bun, waffle fries, club sandwich and a side of chili. Everything was so good! Clean place, smelled clean (one employee was cleaning and refilling coolers and condiments the whole time), super friendly and nice staff. We heard several orders of chicken fry come through while we ate so that will be our next time meal. We'll definitely be back. read more

Went here for a business meeting, doesn't have all the flair of a big retail store, but it doesn't need it. Very friendly atmosphere. I had the catfish basket, which was amazing. Catfish was lightly breaded, the hush puppies were great and they had some awesome onion rings. Definitely a place that I would come back too. read more

This place is no longer serves dinner, which is sad because I'm sure the food was phenomenal. These donuts is a place that has been doing what they're doing for a long time and their regular customer base is proof of it. The majority of their customers are elderly if not getting up there. Everyone seems to know everyone's names unless you're just stopping in as an outsider. I can't tell you how many times I've come in here and someone in the kitchen ask someone waiting in line if they want the usual breakfast sandwich or the usual order. There's good customer service and then there's no when your customers by first name basis. The food at Dee's delicious donuts is aptly named. While their donuts are on a whol while their donuts are on a whole new spectrum the rest of their menu is pretty much cooked to order and after trying various things on the menu I can tell you you really can't go wrong with ordering something off the menu. Back to the donuts though, I've tried a lot of donuts in my life as they are one of my favorite breakfast treats. Dee's donuts surpassed my expectations and is truly in a league of its own. Stumbled on the place on yelp. Know plenty of places for good to great burgers. Double R, Cupp's, Daves etc. Drove on a whim from south Waco based on the lure of homemade buns. Well worth it. Great handmade patties and great buns. Tator tots were dead on and onion rings were good. Too late for anyone to get breakfast but it looked good. Did get some excellent donuts. I get donuts for my work every Friday. They always remember me and know exactly what I want and get me out the door quick. Their donuts are unique too. It's more of a bread type donut. I went here for lunch today with some guys I work with. This was my first trip but some of the guys are regulars at this place. My first inclination when we pulled up was that we were in the wrong place since the sign outside said Dee's Donut Shop. They indeed have donuts here but that is only the beginning. They also serve regular breakfast items and lunch short order cook items with everything cooked to order. This is a family owned and ran small diner that really hits the spot. I had a cheese burger and tater tots and walked out full and satisfied for five bucks. They also have other items on the menu that you would expect at a fast food type place like chili dogs, club sandwiches, etc. The atmosphere is friendly and down home. You can tell it is a favorite with the locals. If you are cruising by on I-35 and need a detour for a quick bite this will be definitely more satisfying than Burger King, McDonalds, or any other franchise food joint you will find just off the interstate. I came up here awhile ago and I had gotten a breakfast sandwich. Well I had to turn around and get another one. While I was in college I always came here.... I graduated in 2015 and it has been awhile since I had been up here.
