There was a young employee working the front counter on Saturday, July 18, around 8:00 p.m. I went in to redeem a free cheeseburger using my rewards points. When I gave my information, she told me she couldn't find my order. I politely showed her the email confirmation and offered to open the order in the app as well. She asked if it was just a screenshot, and I explained that it wasn't and that I could show her the live order in the app. Without much explanation, she walked away. When she returned, she told me that the person who placed the order had to physically be at the restaurant for it to "pop up." I had placed the order about 20 minutes earlier, so that didn't make sense. My husband then spoke with her and explained the same thing--that it was my order for a cheeseburger redeemed with my rewards points. What bothered me most was how I felt I was being treated. I may not have looked my best that evening, but I have never stolen anything, and I certainly wouldn't try to steal a free cheeseburger that I had legitimately redeemed with my own points. I left feeling embarrassed and judged instead of helped. I understand that technology can have issues, but customer service matters. A little patience, communication, and respect would have made this situation much easier. read more

Stopped here on a road trip and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. It's McDonalds, so I know what to expect: it won't be the cleanest, prettiest place ever, but the food will be consistent and tasty! I happen to really enjoy their food so I keep coming back, regardless of which location! About 2 months ago when I was here they were requiring masks inside, which was fine for me since I had one with me. Just remember to bring one if you plan to go inside!
