In my never ending quest to collect McDonald's visits like Pokemon cards, I found myself at this Pomona location last night before going to a show at the Glass House. Thanks to the McDonalds app, it basically costs like $5 to eat a meal and that's basically cheaper than anything in the current state of America. I did a mobile curbside order and did a Spicy McChicken Sandwich deal with french fries, spicy McNuggets, and an orange Hi-C while also utilizing the free nuggets coupon to snag some extra as well. The wait wasn't too bad, but the food was certainly pretty dang lackluster when it comes to being good. The Spicy McNuggets were hard and luke warm, the french fries had absolutely no salt on them, and the one good thing about the meal was the spicy McChicken which was actually hot and tasty. Overall, it's still a McDonalds and people genuinely know what to expect when coming here. The food wasn't great on this visit, but for under $6 I ate dinner and was on my way to the show. A long long long time ago, I used to work within walking distance of this McDonald's so it would be a potential stop for me during my lunch break. What can I say? It's low key a PvP zone where a world event can happen at any time. Countless visits, I've seen tweakers and vagrants hanging out right outside and sometimes loudly are inside the establishment. Usually I don't really care that much about other clientele unless they're inherently cringe, but the number of shenanigans occurring here is much more highly skewed than at other McDonald's I've been to in more metropolitan areas (LA, in the Bay Area, etc.). Food is normal to low quality and sloppy like may other low tier McDonald's. Again, you can save quite a lot with mobile ordering through their app. Service is normal, short and curt, but with the people going in and out and hanging out, I'm not surprised. read more

Upper management has us short-staffed really badly, and it makes the job harder than it needs to be. On top of that, some managers don't have customer service skills and can be rude in general. To be fair, every manager has their own pros and cons--there are good managers here, but there are also some bad ones in the mix. Also, if you start working here, be aware they might cut your hours (one of the department managers does that a lot). I know some people really need to get out of here, and honestly the best move is to update your resume and start applying elsewhere. It won't be easy, and you'll probably deal with rejections, but it's doable. Keep going until you get an offer. And don't think less of yourself just because you work at McDonald's. What a rude experience, especially from the manager or assistant manager, Maria, at the drive-through. No one even came to the speaker for about six minutes. When I offered to use a code, she immediately had an attitude and said it doesn't work, no personality, no customer service at all. I understand it's McDonald's, but having someone in a leadership role act like that says a lot. If she's the one setting the tone, it makes you wonder how the rest of the team is being led. Honestly, if I could give ZERO stars I would... Not only is this one of the worst McDonald's ever, the staff is so slow and incredibly rude as well. They are constantly out of sodas, cups, and even ice. And the worst part is that sometimes they don't tell you until you get up to pay. Also, since they got the split drive-thru lines, it's gotten worse. They don't alternate, so one line zips by, and the other just sits and waits until they remember there's another line to serve. This is the absolute worst location to visit. The Franchisee sets the pricing to be more expensive than other locations in the area by nearly $1-3 more overall. Additionally, they charge for sauce $0.25/each. Talk about Nickel and diming on already inflated prices! Placed a mobile order for a collectors meal and instead of having it marked unavailable, they allowed the purchase on the app and then told me at the window to request a refund on the app because they were sold out of the cup. There's no place on the app to request a refund and their website states to request refund from the restaurant directly. Just an example of deceptive practices from this location and terrible service. If you really have a McDonalds craving, go to the 30 Rio Rancho Rd location. The manager Veronica is a big rude B I ordered online, and when I got there, the app glitched I walked in and I spoke to one of their workers named Andrew and he was very nice and kindly explain to me that if the app glitched there was nothing that they could do and they couldn't honor my order. I understood that and walked out but as soon as I walked out, my app started working again, and stated that my food was almost ready. Just had the best customer service experience from the woman taking my order. I was told her name is Crystal. She genuinely was happy to be at work her positive energy radiated. She provided customer service with a smile on her face. My 5 yr old daughter has been on the hunt for those Croc Toys and we hadn't had any luck. Today she asked me to ask while ordering and although they didn't have any Crystal selflessly gave her not 1 but 2 of the one's she owned. I pull up to get breakfast at around 8:30 on a Tuesday morning and there's 1 car in front of me that pulls in to order. There's both lanes open so I go in the other lane to order. Silence...for about 3 minutes of me saying hello hello??!. Nobody answered.
