Well I never thought I'd be writing this review but we stopped at this McDonald's as we were traveling on 1-35. This McDonald's had fresh food, AND GREAT service. These two things I did not think I'd be saying about McD's as I have not eaten there for years. There were two young gentleman working and the customer service was top notch. Hope the people in Perry have this same experience and hope this McD's can keep these two gentlemen as they were employees that help show great service and present an appearance that McDonald may be a great place to work with the right team on place. We Will definitely return when traveling through in hope for the same fresh food and great service! The location was easy access on and right back onto highway with minimal delays! We stopped here to grab breakfast. Food and service were good. We continued on our way down the road. 15 minutes later I realize I left my purse in the dining room. Perry OK McDonald's. Today we ate there as a brunch for breakfast right before they switched the menu to regular food. We got there as a group traveling of 6 and ordered our food and waited about 5-10 minutes never heard the order number but hear what sounded like a chicken call. We went up and discovered our food was ready. We needed a couple things like jelly and syrup and the guy couldn't read my lips so he had me write down what I was saying and was totally on top of it! I wondered why that sound to call us up till right then when realized he was deaf. That man was so amazing and I just want you all to know I am so glad you are letting him work his way up in the system as he seemed to be the line pass manager taking care of so much. We just went through the drive thru and the guy handing out our food was super friendly! Hubby and I both said WOW, that was awesome. So thank you for your great customer service this morning. Our breakfast burritos and McGriddle were hot and fresh, perfect for a fast breakfast to get us back on the road. Oh, and the tea was sweet as always. No complaints! read more

Pulled through the drive thru to get our mobile order and sat there for 2-4 minutes waiting for, said hello a few times and no one answered back. Pulled around to the front to go inside to get our order and all the employees were standing out front smoking. Walked inside and there were fryer timers going off.. as a former employee this is sad to see that not a single employee stayed inside to make sure everything was okay. They hadn't even started cooking our food and then all rushed in and asked how they could help. Several of their pop choices were out with no syrup. Sounds like management needs to step it up, pretty disappointing when you are a "busy location" next to I-35. read more

McDonald's will always be what it is... So this post reflects the building itself. I don't go to McD's very often, but when I do, it is always for breakfast, which I feel is their best food serving. This particular establishment was immaculate and new. Not sure if they remodeled or what, but when we do go to a fast food place, cleanliness is so crucial. Great work on cleanliness everywhere, including the bathrooms! read more

Don't get off the highway for this McDonald's! The service was ridiculously slow!! The trash cans inside were overflowing to the point you couldn't throw your trash away and there was no ketchup in any of the dispensers. One good employee doing triple the work to try to keep things moving while the other employees looked lost the entire time. read more

When a customer in the drive through says, "I'm sorry, I can't understand you," please don't just repeat the exact same thing, at the exact same speed. Try slowing down, change your wording, try explaining the situation, anything. Oh, and also, no one is going to wait 15 minutes in the drive through lane for hot coffee without a lid. You gave us two in the pink, one in the stink. So we had to bail. Does McDonalds know you are selling their lids on the black market so you can buy your Mercedes and BMW, dude! read more

I'm not sure what I expected to get out of a McDonald's. I drove to Perry to meet my parents who have been working some in Wichita. I thought, I'll run in here, use the bathroom, and get a big water while I wait. From the people who brought you super size fries, Big Macs, McRibs and processed chicken bits wearing onesies made of greasy batter, it should not come a surprise that these folks don't have a moment of concern about my well-being or my ability to hydrate effectively. But even from these diabetes peddlers I was shocked to learn that if you want a water that is larger than the size of a kid's drink, you'll need a dollar. A dollar you say, but that's the same price as sausage Mcmuffin, or a McChicken- even a McDouble! And I tell you, it's true. So the next time you think you might order a McDouble after a big night out drinking, just remember, in some totally effed universe, it 'costs' McDonald's the same to feed you a hamburger with two patties as a medium water. Wrong doesn't even begin to cut it. I feel a Chris Rock style rant coming on so I'm just going to leave it. read more

Don't stop here. Food not cooked people from outside come and go behind the counter. Was out of ice and ketchup. The whole time we ate neither was refilled. The dining area was not clean but it was open. The one good thing again is if it had been clean is set down dining. read more

Always check your order before you leave the window. I'm always amazed how often they get the order wrong. My favorite story is I ordered an egg McMuffin and was handed a pastry of some sort. The girl at the window slammed the window closed immediately and had her back to me. I tried knocking on the window to get her attention but she wouldn't turn around. I started to blow my horn and finally her coworker noticed me trying to flag her down from 4 feet away. She opens the window and says "may I help you?" I told her she gave me the wrong order and she snatched the bag out of my hands and said "Do you still want your order?" Every time I stop in Perry I dread the service at this McDonalds. This time was no different. Five minute wait to get the wrong food ( wrung my order up wrong). And my iced mocha was ignored, then when staff realized no one made it, the machine locked up because the last person didn't finish cleaning it. When it was finally made it had whip on it which had specifically asked to not have . The shift manager was very polite and refunded my money ( first time that happened!) I've never had a problem with rude staff here but of the hundreds of McD's I visit around the country this one never seems to be efficient or correct regardless of time:breakfast, lunch or dinner. I know, I know. It's a McDonald's. But they are supposed to be consistent. We picked this one as we were driving home. It was 5:55 a.m., and we were in a hurry. Just got iced coffee, a mcmuffin, and cinnamelts. Not anything fancy. First, they didn't fill the coffee to top...there was nearly an inch and a half left to the top. Kinda cheap, given that coffee isn't expensive and I had paid extra for a shot of espresso. The cinnamelts were dry. But what really got me was that they wouldn't open 4 minutes early so that my son could use the bathroom. In a disinterested tone, the man at the window said that they didn't open until 6, sorry. So...next time we drive along the 35, we'll skip it. read more

Disgusting. Flies everywhere--literally swarming in bathrooms and around drink machine. Women's bathroom out of toilet paper in 2 of 3 stalls and 1 of 2 sinks stopped up and full of dirty water. Flipped the "restroom needs attention" slip as the restroom maintenance schedule on back of door looks as if it's been there for a good 15 years. No ice in drink machine --you have to ask for it at the counter (another long wait in line). Trash can outside restaurant overflowing with trash and trash covering ground all around it. I am not a McDonald's fan anyway, but as we make the trek from TX to KS a few times a year with 3 kids, we usually end up at McD's once....mental note to not stop in Perry again--check. read more

Traveling on interstate and decided to jump off, go to bathroom and grab a quick burger. Walked into the men's bathroom and found the floor flooded and one of the urinals overflowing with urine. Not water, unless their water is yellow. Walked out and told a worker but positively would not eat their food. If they can't keep the bathroom clean, then who knows how the kitchen looks. I would give less than one star if I could! I went through the drive-thru order to make chicken sandwiches a sausage biscuit fries and a large sweet tea the tea was definitely not sweet it was a regular tea. Then was eating my McChicken sandwich and there was a large bone in the chicken patty! I called the manager and he hung up on me twice it sounded like a party was going on in the background similar to the party it appeared they were having when I went through the drive-thru. Since I could not get the manager to speak to me on the phone I drove 15 miles to the next exit turned around and went back to the restaurant. I took the regular tea that was not sweet, as well as the half-eaten chicken sandwich with the bone. I could have choked on that or worse yet my three year old could have choked on that bone!! The manager just laughed. He said I'm sorry what do you want me to do about it with an attitude. I asked that my order be refunded as I did not feel it was safe to either let myself or my three-year-old eat the food that just moments before had a bone in it. He refused to do that so I left with my order on the counter. I will be calling my credit card company to dispute a charge. Very great. Never had problems at this mcdonalds When they made me wait today they purposely added 2 medium fries for the wait.

I will start out by saying I am not a McDonalds fan in the first place. I worked in a restaurant in high school and was taught there that the customer is right, prompt friendly service, and cleanliness are three keys to a successful restaurant. The restaurant if fairly clean but I stood in line with my son waiting to be waited on. After a few minutes as part of the staff walked back and forth in front of me. After two of them walked up to the register it appeared they clocked out and ran out the door. At that moment another staffer came out from a hall way that connects the drive through windows drinking a super sized drink. As soon as he seen me and son ,as well as another family that came in behind us, said sh*t and dropped his drink in the trash and went to the kitchen. That is where he stood there talking to a young man acting like they had something important to do. That is when I decided enough is enough and had to leave without ordering. As for the customer always being right I never had the chance for them to wait on me I was tired of waiting on them. read more

I too got poor service. There were too many employees standing around right in front of me doing nothing let alone asking me if I needed to place an order. Also, a former employee who was with his elderly father and 2 little girls (3-4 years old), had a very foul mouth, said ( in front of me and other customers) that he used to work here but quit because he wasn't going to take anymore of 'their crap". He was horribly abusive to his father and to the darling little girls, cussing at them, threatening them and being a horrible bully. He was related to some of the employees and no one tried to get him to stop his ranting. His abuse of the little girls still haunts me. I wish I had stood up to him. He was probably treated that way, and these sweet babies will grow up to abuse their own children. I disliked this McDonalds for their slow, slow service and their failure to rein in a friend/family member who used to work there, and allowed him to be very unruly/abusive in front of customers. None of them said a word to shut him up! I was there the day after the tornado in Moore killed 24 people, 10 of which were young children. This young man should have been thanking God for his sweet little girls and father, not abusing them like he did. It was awful. read more
