This one is clean, well organized and well maintained. Compared to the ones in Owasso and Tulsa, this one had an almost 'upscale' vibe to it. Can't believe I actually said that, but it's true. People were friendly, shelves were well stocked with everything. It looked like a model store or something. If Tulsa Walmarts were like this one, I might actually not mind going more often.

They tend to have better quality items (a good example is in ice cream) and the freshest produce. Their main downfall is their somewhat higher prices in comparison to Consumers and Walmart.

I love what they are doing with the program to get more people eating whole, fresh foods. If you are on food stamps (SNAP) and are willing to make a small effort, one can come near to doubling your benefits. Basically every $20 spent on a daily basis for foods other than fresh produce will result in a $20 coupon for fresh produce. The key is to shop and keep you purchases as close to $20 as possible. Most cell phones include a calculator. I make of list of what I need, I check sales ads to see if anything I need is at a sale price and make my purchase, then I keep my fresh produce separate (note: packaged salads that contain cheese, nuts, dressing does not count as fresh produce) but go for all other fresh produce. And if you don't see it out, don't hesitate to ask for assistance; they get new deliveries all the time. Love the people, love having a store that offers fresh deli, local bakery, and fresh beef and dairy. And the produce is the cherry on the top of the cake! I was thrilled when I saw three children picking out what they wanted and calculating price per pound for their favorite items.

At about $13 per pound, I am saving so much money! I buy popcorn in bulk, as well as turmeric and cilantro and salt. The produce is plentiful and so reasonably priced, but you need to inspect carefully (as you should anywhere). I have yet to find an expired product (as some have claimed); perhaps the Tulsa store is more on top of this issue than others. I also have found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, unlike complaints regarding other Winco stores. This is not a high-end store with a fancy bakery or tasting stations, but there are decent selections in every area. It's a clean, well-stocked discount grocery store. We shop here several times a week!
