First off this is totally my fault. I'm a grown man. I knew better. After working in the yard all day and my wife having to work she asked me what I wanted. Just pick up McDonald's I said. What a dummy. I asked her to get me a chocolate shake with my food if by some miracle the shake machine was working. She got home with the food. No shake. She ordered and paid for a shake. They just didn't give it to her. She didn't notice until she got home. Food was cold and inedible. We threw it away and ate leftovers. I'll screw up and go here again. It will be a few months. It takes forever to get a cheeseburger here. I have not been here in over a year because the service takes forever. So today I tried it again at 1pm and it's just as slow. They had one person in front of me and no one behind me, yet made me pull over to the side. Then 25 mins later they brought it out and didn't say anything, like we are sorry you wasted your lunch in our drive thru. The new owners have just run this into the ground. First I want to say I am a McDonald's fan so this is not about the menu or the dinning. The service in this McDonald's is one of the worst I have ever seen. Last night I went to eat McDonalds and did the line for the Drive through because the dinning was closed. There was only one girl working, she took the orders, the payments, served the food and give it to each car. I was the fourth car on the line and it took 40 minutes to get my food. The women was relaxed and she didn't even care to apologize for the long wait. The nuggets I ordered were old (cold and taffy) and the fries were served half way. What I learned: Don't do drive thru at this McDonald, better go to other fast food place in town. Suggestion for the manager at the McDonalds: Instead of spending thousands of $ renovating the dinning area, spend your money on more employees and training. If you don't provide good service people will stop going yo your dinning in which you spend all your money. read more

It's my fault. I shouldn't have gone back. I know better. From the time I got in line until I just Paid for my order was 18 minutes. To finally get my order, at the second window, was a total of 27 minutes. After asking to speak to a manager, I waited 6 minutes before determining that the manager, like the service, was no-show. As I drove away, I called the store. The phone rang for 7 minutes with no answer. I returned home to find that the fries, like the service and the management, were a no show. It's really not the fault of the employees. Poor performance is the result of poor training, poor franchisee oversight, and ultimately poor corporate responsibility. We can all make mistakes. Most of us try to learn from them. The best I can say for this McDonalds is that they are consistent; consistently poor. It would be interesting to know if the slow-food debacle is unique to this store or is systemic throughout the chain. The Mickey's management team might take a drive to their nearest Chick-fil-a to see fast food and customer service done right. And while there fervently pray that the chicken people don't start selling burgers. If it were possible to give negative stars, I would. The Golden Arches are terribly tarnished. I was 17 minutes waiting in the drive-thru, and they got my order wrong. They have 2 lanes to order from, but only one pay window. I tried inside first and it was backed up and like a portal to hell. I ordered a fish sandwich and a large Sprite; the girl at the pay window thought I'd ordered chicken and water; and I paid for Sprite but got water. Thinking about going through the drive-thru? Best McDonald's out of the 5 in Owensboro. Better quality food, better service. They have some great people working here! I mean, it's McDonald's, it gets busy & you're gonna be waiting a little bit depending on the time of the day and/or how busy it is, especially when some shifts are running short. Yes, the building is old & needs to be remodeled, if not just torn down & rebuilt. Some people cannot look beyond old, but it is kept very clean. All in all, it is the oldest McDonald's in Owensboro, & the best McDonald's in Owensboro. This store cares about their community. Christmas of 2015, they did donations for the Daniel Patino shelter & Make a Wish foundation for kids. They also have Bingo for seniors on Wednesday mornings. They also help school groups in the community by holding fundraiser events where volunteers from these groups help out in the lobby area & earn a percentage of the store's sales for the hours they are there. Any establishment doing something to help their community is a win in my book! read more

This site says this Frederica Street McDonalds is open 24 hours a day, everyday of the week, and that is not correct. I have been there everyday between 8pm-11pm, and each time they were closed. Each time someone got on the microphone and said due to not having enough staff, they could not run the restaurant, therefor they could not make food. And the two workers in there by themselves were both under 18. Someone come help them out! Today, they were also closed again, but said they were taking Door Dash orders only. I know Covid has hit alot of places really hard. I know alot of people have just stopped going to this location, because whether it's maintenance, cleaning, or low staff, they are closed alot. I really hope this location can open back up again soon, and hopefully one day they can get back all of the customers they have lost due to this :( read more

Absolutely the dumbest employees of any fast food in Owensboro. Maybe anywhere. You don't expect brain surgeons but you'd think they could keep track and be able to take orders from every other car in the two lane process but nope....skipped me twice and not for the first time here. It really only takes two hands to keep track of....left hand, right hand, repeat. Unless you keep forgetting which is left and which is right it should be simple. read more

This one sucks they charged me for bacon on a bacon McDouble when I work at McDonald's and I know we have a bacon McDouble and when I asked they said no we don't. Then they tried to charge us for sauces when sauces for free. AND they charge for water when water is free so they were just cheating us money. read more

I never leave bad reviews but here you go. This McDonald's is by far the SLOWEST one in Owensboro. Wait is forever. I waited 10 minutes in the drive through only for them to tell me they only accepting cash. Went one time at night and they said their system is updating but accepted the drive on the other window. Food is "Okay" and the term "Fast Food" doesn't really refer to this place anymore typical wait time for a simple meal is up to 20 minutes and the employees are always dirty and they say a lot of offensive things in the back and don't care about the customers in line, it's very sad. This generally happens at Hwy 54 McDonald's but I'm still not surprised to see it at any other either. 2 stars because i still enjoy some food there just the service is plain awful. read more

McDonald's , I hate it. Most of their food shouldn't even be sold for human consumption. I wouldn't take my dog to eat here let alone me or my family.
