The restaurant is clean, however, there is limited seating for dining in. The Kiosk and App are not real user friendly, it would be nice to have a counter person to take orders but I guess companies today want as few employees as possible, sad. They also moved the soda machines behind the counter so you can't refill your own drink and their system did not work very well. Anyways, on to the good news, the Big Macs were made fresh, as was the McChicken and the fries were piping hot. All the food was tasty and fresh which is important. 10/13/24 - We ordered at the counter and after our cashier walked out the front door with her drink and phone, another off duty employee walked in requesting two replacement burgers "without onions", ten minutes had passed. Our simple fish fillet and chicken sandwich was late because "the fryer is busy with a lot of fries," we received our bagged food. The chicken sandwich looked like a toddler put it together with lettuce all over the wrapper and mayonnaise smeared on top of the bun--no straw for the drink and not one napkin. There were only three cars at the window when we drove away with one customer inside....and our fries were undercooked. The "fryer is busy," was an excuse for very poor service. The mobile application never seems to work at this place. Always check your bags before leaving, whether indoor or at the drive thru. Something is usually missing or wrong item. On a positive, their regular coffee is good. read more

Honestly not sure why such low reviews, maybe they made a major turn around in recent times. But this is one of my go to places for lunch most days, super quick in any rush hours and never had a messed up order so far. Only down side is that sometimes their drink machines are down but it is McDonald's lol. Definitely better choice than KFC/Taco Bell -.-' read more

My group placed a mobile order this morning before the breakfast cutoff time. We headed to the drive thru and were there before the cutoff time. We were told to wait before placing our order which put us over the cutoff time by two minutes. They told us to pull forward and head to the first window. When we made it there the employee (Kara) told us that we were not able to get breakfast since it was past the cutoff time. I asked for a refund and was swiftly ignored and handed the ticket for the order. I headed inside to try and get a refund and after asking the female employee at the front, she and another female employee apologized and said there was a miscommunication and handed me my order. I checked the order and it was missing a couple items, so I headed back in and asked if there was anything that could be done to remedy the situation. The male employee (brent) was kind enough to apologize and get the breakfast food made up for us (even though it was past the cutoff time). Glad to know some of these mcdonald's employees at this location have empathy and want to set things right. However, will not be ordering from here again. read more

This is usually the only fast food place in town open after I get out of work, but over the last couple months the food has been terrible; especially the fries, they are either cold or fried to a complete crisp. This place is honestly terrible I waited in line just to tell them that i was the online order (I had the code already ready to go which means the order was placed and is getting ready to be made) for 5 minutes i watched two cars get served, the drive through taker just kept telling me to wait whenever i would ask to order. i couldn't even start my order so i went to the other line just to have them take my order as soon as i'm in the other line. so i pull up to the first window to get my receipt for my mobile order, drive up to the second window and they tell me to pull up to the third window which I proceeded to do and waited for another 5 minutes. I thought it was called fast food and you can at least take my order if i was the first one in my drive through order line. so in conclusion i hate oscoda mcdonald's read more

Just want to make sure that I make myself clear about this McDonald's. I thought Burger King and ascoda was horrible I've now changed my mind McDonald's makes the top of the list. Just getting off work ordered a chicken sandwich and a small fright not rocket science. Consider that the food is already premade and all they have to basically do is warm it up, The very overweight unpleasant woman in the drive-through window handed me a folded bag that looked like wrinkled laundry and something told me to check the fries how did I know that because I've gotten cold fries there before and sure enough the fries were cold. So I said the fries are cold I'd like hot fries she looked at me with disgust grabbed the bag back didn't say she was sorry a manager didn't come to the window all they told me was please pull up and we'll get you more fries. When you order fast food you expect it to be hot or at least fairly hot not cold fries you morons. My advice don't eat at McDonald's in Oscoda. Horrible service horrible food. Nine out of ten times, when going through the drive through, they forget something from my order. I would think checking the order before they hand it to me would be part of their training. The McDonalds on US-23 in Alpena has great service and they get the order right every time. Must have better management. read more

Workers want $15 an hour but can't make sure you get everything you pay for or even get silverware with items that require it. Very in convenient to try to eat pancakes and eggs with your hands. Going to burger king where I can at least get what I pay for. read more
