On March 30, 2026, around 5 PM, I placed an order through the app and drove to the Tawas City, Michigan location. When I reached the drive-thru, I gave the employee my order number, but he didn't recognize it. He asked whether I had selected drive-thru or in-store pickup. Since it was my first time using the app, I told him I wasn't sure. He then asked several questions and eventually had me pull forward. I handed him my phone, and he spent a few minutes going through it before saying he needed to get a manager. After another delay, the manager came over, looked through my phone, and told me, "You selected pickup, not drive-thru." Then she simply stared at me without offering a solution. At that point, my order--already prepared and sitting inside--was getting cold. The order number I provided matched exactly with the food waiting in the pickup area. It's frustrating that neither the employee nor the manager could simply retrieve the order once the issue was clear. Instead, I was required to park, go inside, and pick up cold food. This experience felt unnecessarily complicated and unhelpful, especially for a first-time user of the app. A little patience and basic customer service could have made a big difference. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed and, frankly, penalized for not being comfortable with the technology.
