I had the salsa verde chilaquiles, which had a nice kick to them, and the eggs were cooked perfectly to my preference of over medium. However, on this visit, the beans were cold and seemed like an afterthought on the plate. The tres leches dessert was just okay, and the country potatoes were soggy. Additionally, the eggs were overcooked this time. Overall, I'm still undecided about this establishment.

The neon signs are especially fun too. I came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. I was the first to arrive, and since they don't do reservations, I requested a table. We were expected to be quite a large party (approx.10-12), so it was pretty difficult getting seated quickly since they had to figure out spacing. But that's understandable with how limited the seating is already. I was between getting the zucchini fries and the brussels sprouts, because their brussels sprouts are so tasty and flavorful. But ended up ordering the zucchini fries, because they are incredible! They're nice, hot and crispy, and go amazing with their ranch! For my main dish I ordered the Wild Caught Cajun Salmon Salad. I had never had it before but it was really good & filling! The food took a little long to come out, but again, it was understandable with the amount of people in our party. Overall, I was satisfied with my visit and will definitely come back!

The Build: After asking the very nice workers for a recommendation, I skipped the breakfast burrito and went with the Brioche French Toast, which comes with strawberries, rich butter, and an ample amount of syrup for dipping. I also noticed they had a banana matcha on the menu and just had to try it. The Flavor Profile: Taste-wise, the brioche French toast was absolutely heavenly and did not disappoint. The rich butter melted easily, the strawberries added the perfect touch, and there was plenty of syrup to go around. The banana matcha was an absolute standout as well, honestly one of the best banana matchas I have ever tried. There really wasn't a single letdown with the food or drinks. The Verdict: This is a wonderful, quiet little spot with great service and easy 2-hour street parking right outside. Whether you're looking for a cute place to meet a friend or a nice environment to sit down and do some work, I would highly recommend checking it out.

The tortilla was a bit tough in spots, but the chunky salsa was great. When I rate food at restaurants I will also base some of my ratings on portions.
