This has to be one of the slowest McDonald's on Long Island. It doesn't matter if you go through the drive-thru or try to order inside, you are going to be waiting a while even if the line isn't that long. On top of the wait, they miss something on my order almost every single time. Usually, it's a sauce I paid extra for, or the fries end up being completely cold and stale by the time I get them at the window. The workers honestly look like they hate being there and nobody is ever in a rush to get things moving. It's convenient because of the location, but if you're in an actual rush, you're better off driving to a different spot. read more

First off, since the other North Babylon McDonalds closed for renovations, using the 1510 Deer Park Ave location is a total disgrace and a mess every time I go. I just left there in disbelief at the fact they told me I ordered something I did not. I used my points for a free Happy Meal. They raced me through the order but didn't ask what kind of Happy Meal I wanted... So I waiting to get to the window to ask what they decided to give me... The "person" at the window asked for my money and I replied, what kind of Happy Meal did you give me since no one asked me? They said they don't guess what people want, so I must have told them or then I should have told them what I wanted in my Happy Meal.... Are you serious, Isn't it your job to ask what I want? So instead of getting what I wanted, I received a 6pc nugget with apples and apple juice. What I wanted was double fries and a soda but that was too much for this employee to handle and just starred at me as if no one ever challenged their stupidity before. And to boot, where's my Happy Meal toy???? Total failure by McDonalds and their employees need guidance with social interaction. I don't usually Yelp chain fast food places unless necessary. I'm not exactly sure why they have a two, nor did I look at the reviews either. But this is the first time I've been here - right now, actually. And I've never been to a McDonalds more friendlier. Their restaurant was extremely clean (even the bathroom), updated and modern. They have kiosks, which I've never seen before. Two employees and one manager came up while I was working my way through it - willingly to help, even though I didn't need it. The entire time I'm sitting here I see the manager and employees greeting customers and serving their food with a genuine smile on their face and going around asking how everyones meal is. They served my food, and I asked the manager, Tim, for only a cup for water.. which he ended up bringing the cup WITH the water. Just really out of their way to help customers. Great, GREAT service for a McDonalds that I've never seen. read more

Be aware there's a manager in the afternoon shift pocketing change... my husband and I were ordering food once we arrived to the cash window and got our change back we were short... my Husband backed up and she right away said oh ur missing and said the exact change... we looked at each other and was like Ook... I have never had an issue with this McDonalds. Service is consistently good and so is the food. It's not a gourmet meal with 5 star chefs it's fast food. Not sure why everyone is expecting more. Their menu and food surpasses other fast food chains. Burger King may be home of the whopper but their breakfast is awful. read more

If you want to be over charged and not get the correct food. Come to this location. 2 days in a row 1st day I was told to wait 4min on the side and ended up waiting 10min and then also didnt recieve the right food. 2nd day I was over charged for things I didnt even order. I tried to talk with the manager but he was a complete idiot. He was confused himself, I ordered one large quarter pounder meal and was supposed to get one free sandwich. He chardged me $18 when the bill should have been around $10. He tried to convince me that's how much it comes to. I lost my patience and just left. Booooo!!!! For a mcdonalds this place has a taken a downward turn. Ever since they had added two drive thru lanes everything has gone banana. Two lines that filter back into one. Smart? No. This place use to be fast and efficient but it is now clumsy and idiotic. I have gone twice to get breakfast and I was asked to verify my order again and the change window and the pick up window and both times wrong order. I'm not sure where all the hate is coming from for this McDonald's. In fact, this location has been for as long as I can remember. I remember when I was a little kid, there actually used to be a playground indoors. And that would be a popular place where kids would hold birthday parties. Yes, McDonald's used to host birthday parties back then and believe it or not, it was popular! I'm glad to see this place transcended with the times. My family and friends avoid this McDonald's like the plague.. The people they have working here are so rude and nasty even to each other. It doesn't matter what time of the day you come here they are always mean and nasty.. They also take there sweet time to get your food ready every time I got food my meal was always cold and I would tell them that and they wouldn't care and tell me to go home and put it in the microwave.. What a disgraceful place this McDonald's is.. Besides the foul mouth employees and managers.. The place is always a mess and no one seems to clean anything in there.. I have also learned from my cousin that used to work here.. He said when he worked his late shift they would play hide and seek with the chicken nuggets.. They would hide them all around the restaurant even on the floors.. If someone wanted them in the morning when they don't make them they will go search for them and put them in the box and microwave them and sell them to who ordered it.. I was so utterly angry when I left this McDonald's (to which I have never commented on a fast food chain but felt impelled to in this case) that I feel like everyone should avoid this joint and check out the next McDonald's less than a mile away heading south on 231. I went there to grab a coffee and yogurt prior to work, using the drive thru. The two employees working that day were literally screaming at one another, frequently dropping the f-bomb and putting one another down. They had the window shut, but I could hear every word they were saying. To make matters worse, I had to wait for them to finish arguing before I could receive my food. There only thing I usually ever buy at McDonald's is their unsweetened iced tea. I buy it at least 5 times a week from different McDonald's. I hate stopping at this one but sometimes it's on my route. Almost every time the tea is undrinkable. They either don't clean whatever they use to make the tea, or they keep it so long it turns bad. There are always crying children everywhere, the floors are always covered in some kind of junk, and don't even get me STARTED on the bathrooms. Worst service ever! Ordered drive through and they didn't give us a happy meal so we drove back to get it. Get home and see that they didn't give us our 3 cheeseburgers, drive back to get it. Never the less that now all our other food is cold, the manager at the drive through (with the sling on his arm) did not offer an apology. The staff inside could be seen joking around and he even joined in; no wonder they forgot our stuff! If they're hiring young staff to show them workforce, they are far from it. This establishment is the absolute worst. I went there for dinner and they took my baby to make chicken nuggets. (Im not complaining though...) Great location, however employees/staff sucks. After soccer practice today around 11:30 today I took my daughter and son for lunch at this location. I have to say the woman took my order had the worst customer service skills I've ever seen. Absolutely, have no business serving the public.
