My neighbourhood McDonald's is a charming one! Recently renovated, it's kinda boring now. It used to have a play room which was fun for the tots. The main floor has made room for self-serve kiosks for ordering and they've expanded the kitchen area. This meant less seating area and a weird "waiting for your food" lobby. The top floor has some seating, but this might be one of the smaller locations in the area. The food is exactly what you'd expect. The soft serve ice cream machine is out more often than not and the prices keep going up, but the portions keep going down. That's on McDonald's and not any location in particular. The owner is a gem though. He's active in the community and works well with his neighbours. Kudos to you, sir! read more

The ambiance was very casual and relaxing. The cashiers were all very friendly and helpful when asked about the menu. People here seemed vey happy to work here, always with a smile in the face. The foods were delicious and good quality. I asked for 4 creams and a dose of oat milk. They complied happily. It was all for $5 to start an early morning. I enjoyed my time here. read more

Cool looking location at the intersection of McBride and 8th Avenue. Parking is plentiful in the lot next to the building. The inside is rather spacious. Only complaint is there is nowhere near enough standing room at the front counter. I can imagine the lineup spilling out the door on weekdays. There's also an upstairs seating area though I didn't look. There is a nice patio behind the trees next the building. Too bad lots of douches like to rev their engines from the light on McBride and making everyone go deaf. This probably happens at least once every 5 minutes. No we don't care if you ride a Harley or have a riced out Honda and racing stickers. My friends and I were rolling our eyes. This is a real shame since the patio would otherwise be pretty nice. Anyways, the ice cream cone and fries I had were pretty tasty. Hits the spot on a hot summer day. read more

This McD is located at the corner of McBride and 8th. There are lots of parking on site. They have lots of dine in space and outside tables for those who would like to eat outside.The food is very standard. They have the "Play Place" here for kids. Unfortunately due to Covid that play area is currently closed. They have a drive through area for those who just want to grab and go. I came with Yelper E and other friends as well. I got the ice cream cone and fries. They were very tasty. read more

I purchased this through the drive through: - Water - Small Fries - Wrap I was instructed to wait in the parking area. Waited 20 minutes. No food. Walked in, requested my money back. Instead of giving me the order or the money back, they ran around trying to find my order and instructed me it was already delivered to my vehicle. I let them know clearly it was not. I ended up leaving. If you have a very simple order like this and they cannot produce it while at the same time serving all other customers, there is something wrong. If you have to go to this location, don't use the drive through and check your order. read more

This is the worst McDonalds I've ever been to. They have no value for customer satisfaction or even ensuring food is properly executed before being handed to the customers. I was gob smacked to find a hair in my food, 5 nuggets instead of 5 and no dipping sauce in my bag after waiting in the drive thru for nearly 15 min. I called in to see if they could accommodate for their mistakes and only agreed to accommodate for one then hung up and refused to respond. Just called the McDonald's about our order being wrong when my son went through the drive thru. The manager told me I should have my friend call in and why am I calling. When I asked why would I get my friend to call. She's like tell me what's wrong. I asked to speak to the manager she said I am the manager. Because of her rude tone I said I want to talk to someone above her. She hung up. The order was from April 22/22 at 11:00pm. Night manager must be a kid and is rude. 10 minute wait for food... wrong order etc ... I guess I will contact corporate. read more

They park every single car that goes through the drive thru, and walk the food out to you so they can pad their times and make it look fast for the head office, but it's ridiculous, I'm sitting next to 6 cars waiting right now with only one car in the drive thru...... kind of defeats the purpose. This is the worst McDonald restaurant I have EVER encountered in my 48 years. It is run top to bottom by teenagers, and they have zero work ethic or concern for the customers. I have had so many mistaken orders with this place - and it's ALWAYS when I either receive a delivery or get homefrom drive-thru, that I discover some catastrophic mistake, which mean my kudos eats snd I don't. I would REALLY like to personally talk to the owner, things have gotten so bad. I don't think he has ANY idea what's going on at his restaurant. When I say almost EVERY time they screw up the order, i mean literally EVERY TIME. It's astounding to me the level of incompetence at this restaurant. Went through the drive-through and was given fantastic service. Not only did my food come faster than any other McDonald's in the lower mainland, the food was piping hot, just the way I like it. The staff was amazing and cheerful, especially this girl named Brooklyn. She really made my experience a golden moment and deserves a promotion for having such quality customer service skills. Every time I've come in, she's always been there to solve any issues I have leaving me a satisfied customer. Would recommend this McDonald's for sure. read more

Im biased as I worked at a Mcd over 20 yrs ago. On sat 1/18/14 I came here & line up was out the door & around the corner at 1040 am. I wanted brkft so I didnt want to go to another Mcd. In less than 5 min I was sitting down w my order enjoying my food & delicious coffee!. Great young staff & manager had the operation going like a well oiled machine. Jessica ( I think that was her name) kept the dining area spotless & she was friendly & helpful to all customers. Mcd hasnt changed in its role helping youths develop job skills & work ethic just as when I was a kid. read more

Stopped for a salad , asked if the calories listed in the McDonald's nutrition guide include the salad dressing in the salads ? Was told they had no idea. Manager then comes with a book he can not find the Greek salad listing so he says yes it does ? If you're not sure Mr Manager don't guess ! I ordered the Greek salad with grilled chicken. Started to read the nutrition facts on the dressing supplied on the side , 140 calories just for the dressing !! There is no way the Greek salad with grilled chicken listed at 280 calories includes a dressing with that many calories. Mr manager it's time to educate your self on matters like this. The Greek salad with grilled chicken is not worth over 420 calories. Or the 7 bucks charged. read more

My table was messy and as I went to clean it off a you male employee with Down syndrome quickly stepped in and helped me. As someone who works with mentally disabled adults, I know how difficult it can be for them to find employment and it really warms my heart to know that someone has given him a chance to learns some new skills and earn a wage just like the rest of us. Our closest McD's. Consistently get our orders wrong or bagged wrong. Almost comical actually now. The happy meal toys are always slim pickings or super old. In other words they're out of the current toys they advertise. Otherwise staff are nice and food quality is typical McD's. read more

The lack of customer service and interpersonal skills at this particular location makes my blood boil. Too many times have my orders been messed up due to inattention to detail, and they want YOU to jump through hoops for THEM to correct it. They would be much happier inconveniencing the customer rather than making an effort to keep the client satisfied. This location is only interested in making money. Some of the employees/managers are quite abrupt. I was taken aback when I asked for ketchup packets, and was told rather authoritatively "YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THAT".... ummmm okay then. Or another time, the coke was only 2/3 full and I asked them to top it up....I was told "DON'T ASK FOR HALF THE ICE NEXT TIME" ; or you guys put the wrong burger in my order by mistake... "YOU HAVE TO BRING BACK THE ENTIRE ORDER WITH THE BILL" ....Who the heck keeps a Mcdonalds bill??? Besides, my kids have already started eating, can I just bring back the burger ....NOPE, WHOLE ORDER WITH BILL OR NOTHING. Jeeez, chill, people. Considering I used to work at McDonald's as a kid, times have really changed. The employees (at this location, anyway) are so disempowered, that they can't make a call to correct a situation without calling out their manager, and (most of) the managers here are more concerned about saving the company money rather than correcting a situation to keep a customer satisfied and keep them coming back.
