I have small kids n live in a small town so we frequent this McDonald's. Usually it's my husband picking up our order and when he brings it home there's something wrong or missing EVERY SINGLE TIME. Whoever manages needs to redo orientation bcuz it's not that hard like everyone who works there has a problem getting my order right? Retrain ur employees! Due to some unseen circumstances, I missed my dinner so I hit the drive thru. As I pulled up I noticed the big menu board out back is completely dark. Even though I've eaten McDonald's probably a 1000 times, I still like looking at the board, the mysterious voice coming from the box was aware of the outage. I should have left when I couldn't read the board. I ordered 2 cheeseburgers, pretty easy. I get my food in double quick time, hit the street and while I'm driving down the road, I take a bite. The burger was gross, cold and almost like stale bread. Like it was under the lights for a tad to long and they replaced the cheese and pickles. The cheese and pickles were slightly warmer than the burger which was nasty. But aha, I have a second burger, that too was completely gross. I called and the manager promised to look into it. I actually had a better experience there. Fries were a little burnt but the mcchicken was good! The crew was friendly and the food was hot. My pregnant wife had a craving so I ate some of the sandwich first lol. Would I go back? Sure! Especially if I'm too tired to make dinner. read more

Literally THE WORST mcdonalds I have ever been too. Every time I go there my order is always messed up. For example I went to go and try the bacon clubhouse sandwich and I ordered it with crispy chicken, no tomato, and no onions. The grill slip was correct and then I opened it. It had beef and a ridiculous amount of onions on it. That was only on one occasion. I am a current employee of a McDonald's and I honestly do not see how they could get one's order so messed up. What happened to this place?!?! Up until 8 or 9 months ago, this was one of the best McDonald's I had ever been to. Fresh McNuggets every time, great fries and fast service. Now it has fallen and fallen far. I don't know if ownership changed or most of the staff flipped, but what is left is a shell of what once was. I am constantly disappointed in the food, service and cleanliness of this McDonald's location. Employees seem to hate each other one day and decide they are all going to slack off another day. The results are obvious, subpar food, slow service, several incorrect orders and a swarm of flies around the self service drink dispensers. I used to come here once a week or more for lunch since it was so good and very close to my job, but I think the latest mishap is forcing me to give this place a break for a while. Maybe I'll be back in a few months, and since I have many other options just a few miles down the road, this won't be too difficult. I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because there is still hope. A few replacement workers and a motivational manager or two and this place could be good once again. ***Update several months later**** It's unfortunate, but it seems to have gotten worse with time. Returned for some lunch a little after 12:30pm. You'd think this would be a fairly busy time, but the reputation must have spread. Despite an army of employees behind the counter, the place was a disaster! Overflowing trash cans, slimy slippery floors and even more flies by the ketchup and soft drink station. I had to pick the least dirty table and clean it s bit myself. Maybe with all of these people in the kitchen, the food will be better? This place was a vile excuse for a McDonalds, the bathroom was an utter mess, so graphic I feel as if I posted a picture I would be reported, and the food was cold. From the seating/dining area I could hear people in the back about most everything, I understand but that is very unprofessional. I used to come here a lot, solely because it's right next to my school. However, two people in my school and I have gotten food poisioning from eating here. Today I was in this store and I heard someone, who looked to me like a manager, say something that really upset me. She was talking badly about the local fire department. My uncle is on this department. She said how "she wouldn't want them to come to her house if it was on fire. They are all old" and laughing about this. This woman does not and will never understand how much my uncle risks his life everyday for the people in this community. For people like HER. Throwing himself into burning buildings to save complete strangers. Not only are these men and woman fire fighters, they are trained EMT's. These our your city's first responders. I am a McDonald's junkie. I go there often. This was my second visit at the New Haven, MI location. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger. when I got home what I got was a beef patty with crispy onion strips and a honey mustard sauce poured all over the top of the patty -not one mushroom on it. When I called to inquire as to what may have happened the managers response was, " oh, were phasing That sandwich out that's probably why they gave that other one to you". Too bad the problem was nobody ever told me that my sandwich did not exist anymore and they opted to give me something that was totally disgusting and it wasn't even a sandwich that was on the board the manager had no idea what it what they made me. read more

57065 Gratiot Ave, New Haven MI- I frequent this location very often, every morning and often in the evening after sports practice. The morning crew is always very pleasant and even when an error happens they apologize and are very pleasant. I have incurred countless errors by the evening crew that today was it for me, I will continue to post until they improve their customer service or at least replace the poor management. The evening crew needs some customer service classes, including the Manager Tom Seabright (probably not his true name, who worked on 4-11-16 at 7:13pm), While in the drive thru he gave me the drink but slammed the window quickly and failed to give me the rest of my food. While honking and sitting for about 4 min. he came back and basically tossed the happy meal box at me. I told him he has shitty service and need to check into that. He turned and waived his arm to me as if I was wrong and he was not the incompetent one. So I called and spoke with him, stated my side and he again did not care. Customer Service needs to be trained to these young people if they want the responsibility of management. Granted I should not have used the word "shitty" when speaking to him, however since i had sat in the drive thru and beeped my horn repeatedly with no response by then I was a little upset as I have little tolerance for incompetance. read more

My Family and I went into this location for some lunch after a nice visit with relatives. We were told maybe we should pick a different location but since our kids were hungry we decided to go. Unfortunately while my husband was eating the last of his french fries a broken off acrylic nail fell out of the container. By the looks of the nail it had been toss around a few times in the french fry warmer. Now since all of us are now half way through our meals we decided at that moment to stop eating and speak to the manager on duty. My husband being a restaurant manager himself politely pulled the manager off to the side to show her what he was just about to eat. She was extremely apologetic and grossed out. My only issue is instead of refunding the whole $23 meal in which we all had the contaminated fries she only refund $2.43 for his container? We didn't even get to finish our meal due to the thought of the contamination. I would like to speak to who ever may be responsible/In charge of the restaurant. Obviously proper sanitation and food handling procedures are not being followed correctly. I believe that according to the health and human services acrylic nails or nail polish should not be wore while handling food and all employees should be wearing gloves at all times while in or around food handling areas. read more
