Are they serious? Never in my life did I think that I'd be negatively reviewing a McDonald's???
The formula is simple; order food, pay for it and receive your fastFood - FAST!
If last night would've been my first awful experience this review would not be happening (for a McDonalds), but it was the 3rd "how dare they" experience.
First time: there are about 8 employees all talking a massive shit storm about themselves, there personal lives, their work schedule, their clothes., scurrying about desperately pretending to be busy making an order for the drive thru and one person before me. There was absolutely no one at the register. No one. I was the only guest in cue at that time. An employee addressed me in Spanish "estare contigo en un momento" that was after a 5 minute wait. A second line forms directly next to me. The same employee begins to take orders from the next line. I spoke up and she took my order instead as I was first in line; and she knew it. My order takes a solid 10 minutes to come out with cold, soggy fries.
2nd experience: again, no one at the register, a group of 10 employees talking a massive verbal shit storm about themselves, 2 guys before me waiting for their food - seemingly frustrated. I finally place my order after what seems an eternity for fast food. As a New Yorker in Miami I tried being patient but I had read the reviews from iMaps the day before, which made me even more antsy. This is a one star location! My order is called - - no fries. The gentlemen attending me asked if I wanted to wait for my fries or have them delivered to my table. I ate my meal and finished my drink, still no fries. I was walking out the door when they finally came with fries.
3rd experience: a crew of about 10, an even more massive verbal shit storm amongst the employees, a cue of 4 guests, we're all looking amongst each other in bewilderment (like, is this real?). The couple in front of me asked if they could place there order. I have never in my life expected her response "If you see that we're busy, you can order from the kiosks behind you"
But, busy where? I've seen McDonald's in NYC with fewer employees take on hundreds of people. Stop talking about your "lifestyle" and focus, concentrate on your job. You are providing a service to your community!
Anyway, I approached the lady and I told her that I wasn't ordering from a kiosk because they are over staffed and absolutely capable of having a designated employee or two taking orders from fellow humans at the register. She smiled, agreed and placed my order. At which point another employee refilling a machine with a huge bag of milk, by accident squirts it all over her coworker, making a huge mess and missing us by a few feet. You would think that they would handle this by an apology, and an immediate clean up. No! It was immediate cackling, an argument and no clean up. I hate this place. Disgusting.
I received my food in what felt like years later. Upset. I ate and left. Never to return. read more
