I've been to this McDonald's multiple times, and every time I am disappointed. Although the staff is somewhat friendly, their service skills are horrible. I went today to pick up some food from the drive thru. I ordered two meals, and on one of the meals I wanted to order a Medium Strawberry Banana smoothie for the drink. I was there at 6:50 pm when I made my order. Everything went fine until the man over the intercom came back on and told me that I wasn't going to be able to get the smoothie because they were cleaning the machine. I said okay, and ordered another drink. The only reason I wen to this place however was to get the smoothie, so I was disappointed. I decided to ask how long it would take for the machine to be cleaned, and the cashier told me it would take 30 minutes or longer. Although we ended up waiting about ten minutes on our food, I decided not to wait for the smoothie, and pulled out to leave. I decided to check my bag before leaving the parking lot however, and when I looked inside I was missing multiple things I had ordered. Some were small things like sauces, but I was also missing fries that came along with my meals. That made me more upset, but no big deal. I went inside (even though I didn't want to because of all of this virus stuff), and told the woman that I was missing some items. She went to the back and got my missing things, and I observed that everyone working in the store was goofing off so much so that it was baffling to the customers watching. They were throwing things at each other and laughing, picking things up off of the floor and tossing them at each other, being very loud, running around things, etc. I had been there now for almost 30 minutes, so I figured that since I was inside I would just go ahead and wait for the smoothie machine to finish cleaning. It couldn't be much longer (I told myself), so I asked the cashier how much longer it wold be before I could get one. She looked over her shoulder at her co-workers (not sure what that did) as if she was checking on the status of the machine (which she didn't even do) and then said to me, "I don't know, uh ummm, it will probably won't be finished cleaning until we re open the store tomorrow". Mind you, it was now only 7:20 and their store closes at 12 am if not later. How does a smoothie machine that takes "30 minutes" to clean end up taking the rest of the day to finish up? It doesn't. For some reason it is too much of a hassle for the people that are getting paid to make the food and drinks to actually make them. See, their soft drinks get made by a machine and all the workers have to do is pop on a lid and hand it out. I guess making a smoothie without the help of a machine doing all of the work is such extraneous work that they have to "clean" the machine every single time I go there. I will say this, I get a smoothie every single time I go to McDonalds (or at least I try to) and I would say the ratio of me actually getting one to not getting one is very slim. I have maybe actually been able to get a smoothie (from this location alone) only three or four times out of the million times I've been. When the smoothie machine is "cleaning" or "messed up" the ice cream machine is also messed up, even tho it has nothing to do with the smoothie machine. I mean, it's not hard to put two and two together. They just don't want to deal with the "hassle" of making the ice cream, smoothies, milkshakes, coffee, etc. I am not trying to sound like a brat, but when you go somewhere for the sole purpose of getting something that they are always advertising and they are almost NEVER able to provide it, it puts a bad image in your mind of the company as a whole. I just don't get why every single time I go there the order is messed up and there is always something that isn't available. As I was leaving the store after getting my order fixed there was a man standing inside that said, "did they mess your order up too?" I said, "yep", and he said, "always". What does that say for a place when multiple people are experiencing the same annoying things? If I weren't starving, I would just throw all of my food away. That's how upset stuff like this makes me. read more
