We got there for a mobile order that was inside pickup and waited a few minutes until it would be ready. We finally go to walk inside, but wait! O n the door it says the inside is closed. They should either shut the mobile app off or open their restaurant at dinner rush / hour at 5:30 PM. The line was insanely long and slow and I would've just chosen another location on the way home. Plenty enough staff visibly huddled around the window to be open for the dining area to be open. I am shocked at the low rating for this place. Yes I have had problems ordering from here but they were only minor and only happen when the teens are out of school working here. When I come during the daytime when the adults are working never have an issue with service. Last time I came to this location was a week ago on a Thursday at 6PM when the teens were working. I ordered 4 mcdoubles and a quarter pounder with out cheese. When they handed me my order I was two mcdoubles short. When I got home, found out there was cheese on the quarter pounder. The cashier told the burger makers twice not to put cheese on it. When I go during the day time between 10AM-3PM weekdays, no problems. The adults know how to count and know not to add cheese when you make that request. Also one more thing when the adults are working, the dining room is always clean. My daughter and I had a little time after I ran some errands yesterday. We were both slightly hungry, and agreed to grab a couple cheeseburgers at McDonald's on Hanover Street in Manchester, New Hampshire. That was yesterday afternoon. Last night I had stomach cramps, which never happens to me. I then experienced severe diarrhea for the following twenty-four hours. My daughter felt fine, that is, until today. She, as well, has stomach cramps, and multiple trips to the bathroom. We absolutely did not have any food in common over the past two days, with the exception of those cheeseburgers from McDonald's. Neither one of us has the flu or are sick in any way... so it doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure this one out. My daughter asked for McDonald's to celebrate her 7th birthday. When we received our order through door dash, we found that even though the complete order was printed on the receipt, half of what was ordered was missing. After calling the store with the expectation that, since we door dashed it and McDonald's did not fulfill their part of the service, someone would arrange delivery to us, we were told that the General Manager forbid that to happen. THE EXPECTATION WAS THAT WE WOULD GO PICK IT UP OURSELVES. I wonder if this was McDonald's plan all along, collect a customer's money, give half of what was ordered, and then hope that no one will call back to inquire about their missing items. When I called back to inquire, the person who presented himself as the GM yelled at me, blamed his employees and told me to get a refund from Door Dash because it was my problem to figure out. BAD BUSINESS. The way that I spoken to was horrendous. While I know that McDonald's is not a delivery service, the lack of accountability on their part was disgusting. I sometimes stop at the McDonald's on Hanover St when I'm driving through the neighborhood. This McDonald's is smaller compared to the other locations in Manchester, a 1990s style McDonald's with drive-thru. The seating is close together and the self serve cold drink station is in the front corner of the store. I've seen the service here has gotten a little better over the past few years. I can remember when this place was really really slow, even during non-busy times. I use the drive-thru and I also go inside to get food too. During breakfast hours, the service is usually decent and I usually get my Egg White Delight McMuffin sandwiches in under 5 minutes. I also stop in here for late night eats when I get out of work late or on my way home from downtown Manch. I always sit in the cramped front seating area in front of the counter and near the self serve drink station, enjoying my Filet O Fish, salty fries, and bottomless ice cold Diet Coke as I take advantage of the free wifi access. If I could give this store a 0 star review I would, please read before eating here, This is the closest McDonald's to my house so it's usually my go to for a quick eat but 9 times out of 10 I receive a messed up order or messed up food, the sanitary conditions in the grill area are disgusting, I have seen them from pictures of a former employee. Which caused me to no longer eat here the customer service is poor, workers spend most of their time on their phone, and are usually very disrespectful in drive thru and when returning food. Am I able to give a 1/2 star if only for my satisfying juice box? If so I can't figure out how & an entire star seems all too generous. My burrito is so hard I threw it away. Yesterday I waited 19 minutes for a coffee while staff screamed at each other. I actually left the drive through and went into the restaurant after sitting at the order screen for several minutes listening to the exchange since the headset had not been shut off. Several people came in and left without ordering while I waited to be helped and at least 8 employees were not able to handle the load of 3 customers in the store and a couple trickling through the drive through. Despite the lack of service I had already wasted over a quarter of an hour so I felt invested at this point. The coffee was good, to their credit. We came again today, against my better judgement (which is obviously lacking) and as I write this review my wife is working on getting a refund. We have now been sitting here for 20 minutes waiting on an egg McMuffin and a hash brown. Several people have left while waiting to order and several other people that ordered after us have received their food. On top of the clearly broken management, there are flies all over this store, including at our filthy table that I had to clean myself which wouldn't have been a big deal without all the peripheral nonsense. What an awkward way to enter the drive-thru, enter from the main road, make a hard right turn, then drive around a boarded up building to the rear. It is much safer to enter the Hannaford entrance, then take a left to the drive-thru or parking lot. Limited parking spaces also. At 500pm, the drive-thru was backed up with about 10 cars. I don't know if that is typical, but it was for me. The building looks run down on the outside. Generally when appearances are weak on the exterior, they are likely the same indoors. Went there last Saturday with my boyfriend for Chicken Nuggets during lunch. Dude who took my order was hilarious and didn't laugh at me when I ordered mac sauce on the side with them..actually told me a cool story about how people sometimes get tartar sauce with it.
