Was looking for a classic deli, and Jerome's was perfect! I chose a custom pastrami sandwich and loved it (including pickle and chips)- regrettably, I have no great pics, but know that the pastrami is worth getting. And my husband couldn't stop talking about how good his steak tip wrap was. We were slightly thrown off that you pay when receiving your food, not when ordering, but everyone there was super nice and helpful. I've driven by Jerome's a few times and have always been curious about the deli on the hill. I stopped by for a late lunch and grabbed a tuna melt to go. If I could give negative stars I would. First they made my wife's sandwich completely wrong. Then. She called to tell them. The OWNER answered the phone and began to tell my wife she was wrong that the sandwich was made right. The sandwich ordered was nothing that she asked for when ordering. The OWNER started to fight with my wife over it. That prompted me to call them back and again the OWNER answered the phone and tried to act like I did't hear the whole convo he just had with my wife. Little bummed. My sandwich was packed so horribly that for the 7 or so minute ride home it's crushed to oblivion and soggy and falling apart, with all the contents shooting out the side. Tastes okay, just okay though honestly. My husband's was legitimately falling apart from the moment he unwrapped it. LOVE, LOVE,LOVE!!!!! Their food is absolutely AMAZING. Been coming to to Jerome's Deli for almost 9 years now. Jerry is an amazing guy and never fails to make an amazing Cajun chicken sandwich. And not to mention a free bag of chips with every item! It's on a busy street with a lot of traffic, but that still doesn't hold this place back! When you walk in you are immediately greeted with a large smile and a " Hey! How are you doing?" By the amazing chef Jerry. We stopping for take out on the way to Elliott Hospital, and they gladly made us a club sandwich even though it is not a menu item. The space has limited cafe seating. This was our first time at this eating establishment. I took my 15 grandson and thought we would try a new place. I grew up on a dairy farm in the 1950's, which mean plenty of milk gravies and home made baked beans. When some place advertises home sausage gravy and baked beans, I judge the quality of their food by that statement. The "sausage gravy" was SO SALTY that I could not even half eat it. It also left a funky taste in my mouth. I don't event know if their biscuits were any good because the gravy ruined the taste of the combo. You do not need to make something so SALTY that it is not eatable. Do not say it is because of the sausage. It is easy to fix it If you are a real cook and taste your food. The beans were in line with home made, just overly sweet with a bitter taste hint. My grandson was happy with his food. read more

Quick and easy spot for fresh sandwiches. This place is close to me and I've always wanted to stop in and try. I love how early they're open. I stopped in to get a breakfast sandwich. Got the veggie cheddar egg wrap and it was great! Portion was a good size for the price ( around $6). The egg wrap itself was warm and the cheese and veggies combined nicely. I'll be back to try some of their other options. I was the only one in the store at around 8 am on a Friday and waited less than 5 mins for my order to come out. Service was kind and prompt. Jerome's is a great deli on the eastside of Manchester. My friend and I love going to Jerome's Deli mostly for takeout (limited seating inside and outside). Jerome's is an "order at the counter" place and offers great sandwiches (with chips & pickle) for around 6 bucks, soups, green salads, cold salads (weighed), creative dinner entrees (weighed), side items, bottled drinks, coffee, and desserts (cookies, brownies, & Whoopie Pies!!!). Most of the food is served in foil containers. You pick out your food from the display case, and it can be heated in the kitchen and served. The food here has been very good on each visit. I enjoy the Stuffed Turkey Sandwich (turkey, lettuce, cranberry mayo, & stuffing on wheat bread), chilled pasta salads, and brownie. My friend usually gets a Garden Salad ($3.25), Spinach Square ($1.95), and a pasta dinner (weighed). The food selection changes daily. The Chicken Capri with Penne is pretty good!! Really going in that is all you need to know because everything else is so quality and such amazing portions. All sandwiches come with a small bag of plain chips each. Some really nice marinated salads ( caprese, artichokes, pasta salad) , and other deli salads but they'll also have stuff like take and bake Mac n cheese and if you ever see bowls of empanadas on the bottom shelf - do NOT leave without one. They are all great regardless of fillings. If you get the Italian ask for the herbed oils - tasty as f! My faves are the cold veggie wrap ( comes with tabbuleh, & red pepper hummus), the steak tip wrap and the turkey clubs are outstanding. I simply LOVE Jerome's! I have been going here for years. The quality of the ingredients and nice fresh bread makes it my favorite place to pick up sandwiches. They are so delicious. I am very fond of their Chicken BLT sandwich.....it is put together so you feel like you matter and you are family. It feels like they made the chicken salad especially for your sandwich, so fresh! Tastes like homemade. They even have desserts like cheesecake and whoopie pies (made the right way). It is so nice going into a place that makes clean healthy choices, and uses quality ingredients for something that is really a good value. Important, especially now. Their potato salads etc are really good too if you are debating something for supper. I should mention their soups are very good too, I about lived on them last winter LOL. Yesterday I got the Cajun Chicken sandwich, but I subbed the bread for a wrap. I want to stress that this was the best wrap I've ever eaten in my entire life. That's not a hyperbole, it's just true. The chicken was well seasoned and whatever is in the Siberian dressing is a god send. It came with a pretty solid deli pickle and chips. Just moved here and I'm so glad I found this place. Jerome's has become our stopping point when traveling through the area. Only a short distance from I-93, it is worth a detour to get away from the typical road food. The sandwiches are generous and the soups are tasty, especially now that cooler weather has arrived. The chicken & corn chowder was wonderful.
