The best of the best is a high honor to achieve in Brian's burger world. I visited on a Sunday late afternoon. The sunday after Pride Day. It was quiet, and there were many open tables. The servers were both really nice, and the food was cooked perfectly and delivered swiftly. I can't say specifically why I can't give it a 5/5; my burger standards are high. It was right up there knocking on the door to a perfect score. To each their own, but it *just* missed the mark.

Ordered a double cheeseburger, and hand cut fries, with mayo, mustard, and onions. Honestly, I would put this burger up against anything I've had in the States. The flavor and the char on the meat is kinda nice, but the meat is cooked to hell and dry as a desert... that's desert, not dessert. The sauce had to do that work, and even with 'extra sauce' requested, it was not enough make up for the dry burger. Staff is friendly, but to my palette, the food was barely acceptable and reminiscent of the pre foil-wrapped burgers you get at a hospital or school cafeteria. There's a time and place for that type of burger, but not at these prices.

We ordered drinks and had an easy wait in the entry "bar" area. We're vegetarian so we ordered the black bean and chickpea patty, which you can have topped with any of their traditional beef burgers styles and it was great! The patty was moist but not crumbly - a hard combo to pull off but the Flip Side did it. So I ordered mine "Scorcher" style and it was perfect. Great sriracha mayo, nice jalapeño relish, and the bun was super fresh. The lettuce was super weak but it's iceberg and it's winter so what can you really expect. My hubs and I also split the butter garlic fries and they were okay. A bit greasy when we got to the bottom but of course it was the butter poured on them --not like a spritz. Our friends ordered the cheese fries and said they were the best "chips" they'd ever had. I'm sure it didn't hurt that they also come covered in bacon. Our friends also had the beef version of the smoked stack and the American burgers and loved them. We also had the onion rings and a sundae. Our Irish friends thought the breading in the onion rings was too thin but I'd say they were pretty standard for rings in the states. So if you love burgers and chips for about €15 you leave here full and happy. Oh and our server Zach was amazing! So top marks all around!!!

Don't usually see that combination at least in my experience. I did find that they seem to do the Indian better than the Italian though. Although the Italian was definitely not great, it was good. Cajun chicken was not really what I expect from Cajun but it was pretty good. The pasta was just OK. Tasted sort of like a cacio e pepe which tends to be bland. Onto the good stuff, Indian food. The chutney and sauces that came out before the meal were absolutely fantastic. I don't know if I've had a better fig chutney (I think it was fig) and the spicy chutney was also incredible. So the "careful what you ask for" part: My daughter and I tend to have a very high threshold when it comes to spicy foods. That said, we did stay away from the hottest menu items and went with some thing in the high'ish range. To be frank, we hadn't found a lot of spicy in Northern Ireland that even remotely tested our limits so we were confident this would not be an issue. I'm not even sure what we ordered but everything was a searing hot blur on both sides of the table, mine and my daughters, from then on. The flavors were wonderful but this just hit different... Can't fault the business as the waiter warned. Still a solid five star experience. Note: The mint chutney was...just...incredible!

Since you order at the counter, and don't have a waitress to discuss your food quality with, you don't have a normal way to ask for your food to be remade like you would at a normal diner in the U.S. I don't like the order at the counter setup unless it's a fast food restaurant and I typically avoid those.
