I thought the service was very poor here. You get ignored at the counter and the tables and chairs were all left very dirty with no one going around cleaning them. We came here because the kids were excited for the happy meal toy. We placed the order on the app. However, when we got the order, instead of the toy they were expecting, it was replaced with something very lame which we have since thrown out. When we asked about it, they just said they had no more stock. I asked about the one in the display, but the manager said she could not give us that one with no explanation. When my son tried to exchange the toy they gave him for something else, like an ice cream cone (which they let you do at Chick-fil-A), the manager just dismissed him rudely and walked away with no attempt to offer anything for the incorrect order. I was very disappointed in the way the situation was handled. Adding to the fact that the dining room was not kept clean, I do not recommend this McDonald's at all. read more

The cashier at the back did not give me the right change. She stole about 15 dollars from me. she left out a whole meal My chicken sandwiches which I ask for extras Mayo had nothing but a dry hard bun & the patties were burned. Same thing with my fish sandwiches. I am so disgusted, i remembered this same cashier doing the same thing, When I called this time, I learned she did it often. I had always loved this location. i took the place I work, a huge medical clinic meals drinks a few times a year. I also gave Gift certificates from the. I talked to the afternoon/evening manger. I regret I can't remember her name, she is super nice. I am so disgusted when she saw me looking at her rolling up the money she owed me, she said she had closed her drawer but they would give it to me in the pick up line. They had no clue & had no cash drawers, I was told the manger who is over the place was going to call me & they would refund my money. I also ask for no onions on burger, it is the same crap on it as usual. I rescue standard poodles & these are a treat for them. Train service dogs for the disabled & military (no cost) Just help me pay the vet bills. I hope that day manager remembers me I will be back. I want my $15,00 plus money back. read more

2nd McDonald's in LaGrange w/ closed dining room. I understand being short staffed. But the least you could do is put a sign so people don't have to get out of their cars to know it's closed. With such a low rating, I was a little concerned but our stop wasn't that bad. It was a little slow but I think it was one car that was causing all the problem. The woman that took our order (and who we paid) was friendly and at 7am, that's not always easy to do. The woman who gave us our food was also cheerful. Ordered online. When I arrived at store to pick up in drive-thru. A female voice yelled "system's down" nothing else. Drove around to window since I'd already paid for order. After 10minutes got someone's attention. She came to window picking her nose. Gross. Se said bolergently "system's down". I advised her I'd already paid for my order as she continued to pick her nose. I said never mind I just want my money back. We were right in the middle of eating and this lady comes to our table in sales I'm about to lock the store don't let anybody in your short staffed even though it's lunchtime we don't have enough help so they will not let anybody come inside but what I could tell there was plenty of help not to close the door so no one can enter and only do drive-through this this happens all the time at this McDonald's and it's ridiculous is it a problem location next to great Wolf Lodge , they have got to stop with locking the door and people not being able to come in and eat but that door should not be closed in the middle of the afternoon something needs to be done about that read more

All the while the line extends out to the main highway and inc should pull up she says one moment. 10 min later she takes your order. This is by far the worse McDonald's I have ever been to. The staff at this restaurant is a disaster. I have a Doctorate and still could not figure out what the crap was going on. We arrived at the establishment and tried to go in the door but the doors were locked but the staff was eating joking around and having fun in the middle of their shift. Then a employee came out and said our dining room is currently closed. I went today to get a sweet tea and a Large fry for my lunch. The guy was rude in the payment window. Took a couple minutes for for him to look at me and take my card to swipe it. After that I pulled up to the food window and sat there for about two to three minutes waiting for someone to show up and hand me the stuff I paid for. The woman showed up and handed me my fries first and then proceeds to hand me my drink. Turns out she didn't put on the lid well enough and when I grabbed it the tea spilled all over my truck and inside of it and on me. My truck is white and in the inside of the truck my seats are cloth. The woman then says it only happened because there was no grip because there was no ice in the drink. That's not the case because I've been to many McDonald's and that has never happened before plus I seen the lid come up from when i grabbed it from her. She then proceeds to yell at me saying it's my fault that the drink spilled in the first place. She didn't even apologize to me the only thing that happened was she filled the cup back up and made sure that the lid was sealed tightly on this time around. But if you want something fast to eat go across the street to Arby's or go right next door and to Wendy's. I left today livid because of the treatment. read more

I'm still traumatized. This Mc D's wins the prize for the grossest, most awful place I have ever visited. How they have passed a health inspection is beyond me. Its nasty. Nasty floors, nasty walls, nasty drink dispensers, nasty bathrooms. The whole place is just covered in dirt, grease, clods of "things" stuck to walls, puddles on the floors. The smell, oh dear Lord, the smell is still etched in my senses. I checked their inspection scores for the last couple of years and they are consistently in the HIGH 90's. Seriously, either standards in Troupe County must be pitifully, painfully low or someone knows something I don't. How is this place open? Aside from the utter, dreary nastiness the staff are hostile and dirty. I don't expect a lot from McD's but, damn, these employees were sneering and eye-rolling. And there were a LOT of employees, not sure what they were all doing there but actually working did not seem to be one of the activities. They damn sure weren't cleaning. Needless to say I couldn't eat anything here. We had been on the road for hours and I was starving but there's no way. read more

I've lived 2 miles from this store for 12+ years and it's always a hit and miss. Managers don't care. Staff certainly doesn't care. Just went and ordered breakfast at the drive thru. Ordered an egg mcmuffin meal with orange juice, 3 burritos and a soda. I got an egg biscuit wrapped inside the mcmuffin wrapper. When I realized the error, I called the store. The girl that answered pretended to be the manager and asked when I'd be coming back by. I said possibly in a couple of hours. She sighed heavily and asked my name. Said they would be serving lunch by then and she couldn't guarantee that my name would still be up with all of the other misstated names from this morning. And they want $15 an hour?? If they get it I will completely boycott them until they learn some manners and customer service skills. Pathetic read more

I just went the to this McDonalds and purchased one of their new fresh meat Quarter Pounders and the darn thing was half cooked. They had asked me to move to the third window to wait for my food and we were there for a while when the girl brought me the food she said that they had almost forgotten about me. In other words, my food was sitting there getting cold and it wasn't even cooked all the way. I just had to cook it the rest of the way at my house. It seems that every time I go to this McDonalds I have a problem with my food in one way or the other. I doubt that I will ever go back to this place again. read more

I have lived in Lagrange for many years and the McDonald's on Whitesville Road has been here for longer than I have. I have stopped at this location many times because I pass it on my way to places I and my husband frequent (my husband works 5 mins from this Mcdonalds and it and Arby's are the only restaurants on his work side of town). We have been disappointed SO many times here. At least 50% of the time our order is either wrong or incomplete or the food (particularly the fries which we love) is cold or not fresh. But today was the straw that broke the camel's back. I stopped at McDonald's with my grandson to grab a bite to eat after church. We walked in to eat so that my grandson could play in the play area. We stood in line for at least 15 minutes just to give our order. There was a customer who was disputing a coupon that they evidently couldn't honor and so the cashier (and possibly a team leader) we're trying to deal with his issue. In the meantime the line just continued to get longer and longer. There was one register open and instead of opening up another register to take care of the waiting customers, they just continued to fill drive-thru orders and make the dine-in customers wait. We finally were able to give our order and it took about 10 minutes to get our food. The food was OK. But when we left we decided to get some cookies in the drive-thru. I drove up to the drive-thru and instead of hearing "welcome to McDonald's may I take your order please", the cashier simply said "yes?" in a quite frustrated sounding voice. I didn't know what to say. I sat there for a moment and said "Um?" I was speechless. She repeated, "yes?" I almost drove off but went ahead and gave my order for one pack of oatmeal cookies and one pack of chocolate chip cookies. I drove up to the first window to pay and the cashier taking money was on her cell phone and simply put her hand out the window to take my money. I asked her "is it $2.14"? She was distracted obviously and didn't answer. I gave her $2.15 and drove up to get my order. When I got there the cashier had my bag and said "we don't have no oatmeal cookies. Is chocolate chip ok? I said "no, but please just give them to me so that I can go". I will NEVER go back to that McDonalds and I really have no desire at this point to go back to ANY McDonald's if I can ever help it. McDonald's seriously needs to look at their training for their employees as well as keeping an eye on management of their locations to make sure they are doing their jobs and taking care of customers and MANAGING their employees. The service is shameful and it is it only for this location but I have had experiences at other McDonald's as well. I worked at a fast food restaurant as a teenager years ago and my manager would have hung us out to dry if we talked to customers like that or made them wait like that or if we provided poor service of ANY kind. McDonald's is part of the SERVICE industry just like I am a part of it. I am a nurse and have been for 25 years. If I treated a patient or family member with poor service, I WOULD HEAR ABOUT IT! This is one of the nicest McDonald's I've ever been to. They have a fountain in front of it and the overall design of it is pretty modern. The play área is spacious and good for kids. The entire building was clean which was comforting. The restrooms were decent enough to where I felt comfortable going in them. read more
