I recently moved from Indooroopilly but in the 6 months or so from the opening of NKB Express to when I moved, this was a regular choice for my friends and I. The interior is very authentic of the classic American diner from the counter, to the booth seating and the presentation of the meals. It is very accessible as it is just across the road from the Indooroopilly train station. Parking in the centre can be a bit of a challenge however. The meals are amazing! If you are in the mood for a serious burger, I highly recommend this place. They are filling and tasty. My favourite was the mushroom wagyu beef burger which as I recall was called the 'Central Park' or something similar. The chocolate shake was also a solid staple of mine. Prices are standard and they also do takeaway. It is definitely worth dining in for the full experience. It can get quite busy so avoid peak meal times or be prepared to wait for a table. If you are a fan of modern gourmet food and the inner-City lifestyle and you have not been to NKB Express, this should be your next stop! I'll be back.

It was like eating a rosemary burger! Staff were awesome and we will be back to try the other items on the menu, I just wish there was a traditional american cheeseburger on the menu! Worth checking out the little sister of Nantucket at Indooroopilly.

We walked a couple of blocks and were impressed with the California feel about the place- definitely living up to its name! We walked in and were greeted by the hostess, they have tables outside, and we chose to sit there. The menu is a QR code. I ordered drinks, and then we ordered a couple of appetizers. The drinks and food came quickly, and we had was excellent! There was a big office Christmas party happening near us, the huge platters of food looked amazing- I would LOVE to have a Christmas party here! We came back a couple of days later with some friends and had another great meal. Service was great, although using the online menu takes away some of the personal touch, but the staff were still attentive to our needs. Chicken fingers were awesome, as were the wings and the fries- crispy and delicious! My wife said the tacos, while not up to California standards, were still excellent. Highly recommended just for the vibe!

Serial killers thoughts aside, I was drawn to this place thanks to its vibrant looking visuals and the fact they claimed to be "gourmet and preservative free". Turns out this oddly named takeaway place is pretty good. I have tried a few of the burgers here and have been pretty satisfied with what I have received. The price of the burgers range from $7.50 to $10 which may be steep compared to McDonald's a few doors down but they are pretty big and taste way better. I'm a fan of the 'Beetnik Grill' which is just your typical burger with cheese, lettuce and tomato but to spice things up, Moroccan mayonnaise is added to the mix. If you prefer feta cheese, the 'Mediterranean Grill' is also very tasty. They also have a fish burger and although I liked it, I found the fish to be a little too oily for my taste. So there you have it, regardless of its questionable title, Se7en is pretty good. For a food court burger place, it has managed to lure me away from McDonald's (well, almost, I still go to MacDonald's if I have minimum funds).

Seven. It's an intriguing name. A number synonymous with good fortune. George Costanza from…read moreSeinfeld even contemplated calling his unborn child Seven. But does it really work as a gourmet burger restaurant? Seven only opened up in the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre food court a year or so ago. By my very nature I am drawn to new things and I found myself in the line for a Seven shortly after opening. I have to admit that my initial reaction wasn't the best. For starters, the menu board itself is quite confusing. So many of us are used to the combo meal offers, but at Seven they seem to have thrown that concept out the window. Don't get me wrong, I am all for innovation, however this felt like more of a step backwards in my opinion. In addition, the burgers themselves were good but they came at a price. Very few of us I imagine would feel comfortable paying $10 plus for a burger in a food court. Maybe if we were dining in the south a France and we saw a 'Le Burger' on the menu we'd consider paying a premium, but not in the Indooroopilly food court. Keeping this in mind, the burger was perfectly fine, however it didn't really blow my mind by any stretch of the imagination. Overall, Seven is simply overpriced from my perspective. I know I have a reputation for being a stinge, I prefer the term 'bargain-enthusiast', but in reality I don't mind paying for quality, if the product is in fact of a high quality. Unfortunately, I feel Seven just treads the divide between average and above average and really isn't worth it's gourmet price tag.

Greaser's shtick is, well, a 50s American greaser bar. Think of the kind of place James Dean and the Fonz would have a beverage. It also serves greasy (hehe) American food like fried chicken, burgers, fries and hot dogs. Greaser's front bar area is not a creepy dungeon at all, and quite elegant and cosy under the dim lighting. Between all of us, my group of friends ordered everything off the menu. I ordered the fried chicken. The coating was KFC-like but with interesting spices in it - I think it may have been dukkah. Unlike KFC, I didn't feel sadness and regrets afterwards - it was really delicious. Our meals came with onion-y "red eye" gravy and smoked chipotle mayonnaise, which I quickly became addicted to and mopped up with chips. There's a few interesting beers on tap but I had the special that night - whisky with freshly-made apple juice, straight from the juicer. PLUS the bar played some fun rockabilly and 80s tunes that got us chair-dancing over our burgers. Greaser is pretty cool. I hope they hold events and gigs in the future because it's a rad little space.

This place is absolutely fantastic. Hands down the best bar in Brisbane I've been to in years…read more Greaser is bang on trend in the way that only a place opened once a trend has settled down can be. Serves generally American food and drinks? Check. Craft beer? Check. Much edgier barstaff than you are? Check? Down an alley? Check. Johnny Cash on the stereo? Check and check. I wanted to go because I wanted to try it but with some recent rock bottom experiences with other bars in this vein I kept expectations set to low. There is nothing particularly original about Greasers. American food stopped being a revelation a while ago, and frankly is starting to grate a little. Bloody Marys and Picklebacks are having a real moment right now so people are slinging them at you anywhere you go. And craft beer? You can now actually get it with breakfast some places. The fact that these are everywhere does not in any way diminish their appeal. I like burgers, I love bloody marys, and I enjoy brine more than is entirely reasonable. And these offerings are made all the more appealing by Greaser. The space itself is lovely with ample couch seating and booths, elegantly low lighting that isn't seedy and the mid-century music that is curated rather than cloying. Special mention must be made of the staff. During our visit they were uniformly incredibly polite, attentive and very very pleasant to deal with. Knowledgeable about the drinks behind them and able to mix an excellent cocktail. These are the sort of staff we should see more of and who should be clutched like rare diamonds by bar owners. Special shout to the woman with the tattoos and undercut. She mixed what is easily the best bloody mary I've had in Brisbane. Served on bourbon with plenty of hot sauce, this was living and this was living well. Greaser also has a top flight tequila selection which is really great to see. It's wonderful that more places are experimenting with tequila and incorporating it into more than shots, which is a really barbaric way to treat a drink of such complexity. One of our group hailed from Mexico City so this was a blessed relief. My ex is Mexican and nothing says 'Australians are completely clueless about soft racism' than taking someone's national drink and letting bogans punch it until they fall over Here the reposada is served in appropriate glassware and all is good. The troubles with on-trend establishments are just like the troubles of any other establishment, poor staff, wrong price point, sub-par offerings etc. The problem is when a venue is also tricked up there can be a gloss over it that keeps people coming back for no particularly great reason other than to be seen to enjoy themselves. Greaser suffers for none of this. This is a bar that is serious about being a bar. All venues need an edge. But as more and more venues in Brisbane slide from creative to kitsch it is deeply refreshing to see a venue like Greaser that maintains an interesting point but does it with a laser like focus on great service, great décor, great drinks and great food. It's a real credit to the group behind this venture. I'll be back. A lot.

Remy's is a mostly help yourself kinda place (find your own seat, get your own cutlery/water and order at the counter) but once I figured that out I was set. The breakfast menu is quite simple with a handful of items you'd expect from a breakfast menu. Today I opted for the Bacon and Eggs on Sourdough which sounded pretty simple but I was in the mood for bacon! Once my meal arrived it wasn't the prettiest picture but boy did it taste good. Let me break it down for you: - the bacon was thick (as described on the menu) and was amazing, who knew making bacon thicker made it more delicious!? - the eggs were poached to perfection. All oozy and good! - the sourdough was magical and appeared to be fried/saturated in butter which is a very good thing! - the salad was basic leafy greens but cut through the greasiness and the balsamic was a nice treat (I haven't had balsamic in a while) - the relish was a nice accompaniment, adding a sweet/spicy component to the meal. Overall it was delicious and filling! The coffee here was pretty delicious. I left here on a caffeine high after consuming a flat white and a long black. The bean is from Supreme which is fast becoming my fave coffee. The service was decent but nothing to rave about. As mentioned before majority of seating is outdoors so not so good is raining.
