Restaurant Exterior

I found the dine-in breakfast service to be somber, but fast and accurate. One employee was working to keep the dining area and exterior clean before the lunch rush. The dining area was clean, with background music. Overall A-OK.

Nice new decor

Super slow! The food was fine but it was a 20 minute wait in line just to place your order at breakfast.

I loooove to see a new local coffee spot pop up! I found this one while searching for a convenient…read morestop on my way out to the Longview Lake/Lee's Summit area and was not disappointed. The space is large, bright and well decorated with plenty of seating - chairs, benches, couches, lounge seats. Some of the seating is sectioned out well and would make for a cozy conversation or study spot. Their pastry options were extensive and unique, both sweet and savory options. I'll have to try one on my next trip. Today, I ordered a pistachio latte that had some pretty excellent foam. They use Monin syrups, which is my preference (second to house made syrups, of course).

I saw that it was a newly opened coffee shop, and I had to give it a try -- and I'm so glad I did! I ordered an Iced Matcha Latte with both hazelnut and pistachio syrups, alongside their chicken and cheese bake. The bake is a warm, doughy pocket stuffed with shredded chicken and cheese. It was very flavorful and very filling. I would've loved it even more if it were piping hot instead of just warmed, but it still got the job done! As for the drink-- The pistachio flavor definitely overpowered the hazelnut flavor, but since I love pistachios, I didn't mind it as much as I would typically. Overall, Geo's Café is a lovely new spot with a great selection of small bites and a very spacious, yet quiet atmosphere that's perfect for anyone looking to work or study. I highly recommend giving it a visit!

I don't know if they make it in house though. They also have coffee for sale that looked amazing and I was told that's what they use in house. The space is really cozy and the paint on the walls is absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed the way they hung pictures on the walls and what was in the picture frames as well. It would be a place that I would spend hours working on a laptop, reading, or visiting with friends. They also have a bar where you can get boozy drinks as well. I did not partake in that. They also have a large parking lot and stairs and ramp access. The bathrooms are very cute but small. I will come back again.

Great coffee, cute atmosphere, excellent customer service. The music was a tad loud for my liking because you could not really hold a conversation in there very easily. It is bright and airy with a cute little tree. I got the la calabaza. It had pumpkin flavoring and I really enjoyed it. My friend got the mexi mocha. She was thrilled to see it on the menu but did not read that their default milk is oat milk. So heads up to everyone that if you don't provide a milk preference you get oat. She is gluten free and regretted not reading the ingredient list.

It has very much the urban store front feel from that area. I noticed that as I walked in with two doors going opposite direction, a bit quirky for the suburbs but Grandview isn't all suburbs any more either. It's halfway between. That being said, this place is a nice break coffee shop from those that invite nanny-granny conversations and the super-stuffed wannabe types who go to coffee shops with the laptops and act as if it's their personal office space. You know who you are! and this is the coffee shop I wouldn't picture them dropping into. The music isn't too loud and tolerable, if you need to play something to listen to on your device. The music they first played was modern alternative, which was cool, but as I began my review it switched to that Mexican wailing with accordion. It's funny, when in Mexico, the coffee shops will play American alternative, or no music at all. The barista was a sweet gal who made the best Mexican chocolate mocha, so I know where to come and get a good mocha now. I would have ordered a pastry, but there weren't many here, but 3 to choose from, and I didn't see one I wanted to try. I imagined by mention of "Pan de dulce" that I would have enjoyed good Mexican pastries, but oh well, will have to go back to Mexico for that.
