I'm really not sure why this McDonald's is rated so poorly, even for a McDonald's. There's plenty of space in the drive thru and you can literally walk over from the Kroger. My order came out in reasonable time (7 minutes). The McDouble, McChicken, and fries were exactly as expected and they bagged it well. The ordering kiosks are a tad laggy but aren't they all. They also weren't very well stocked on Apple pie or cookies for a dinner hour (8pm). Anyway, I've been to much worse McDonald's locations recently. This one's not bad at all. read more

This is disgusting!! I saw a rat in the restroom, and the hamburger was moldy! And the service was terribly SLOW, I am severely dissapointed for having such a bad experience!! Just a heads up--getting in the McDonald's if you're traveling south on Studemont can be a bit tricky, so it's not the easiest spot to access from the highway. Let's face it. Most of us don't go to McDonalds looking for the ultimate dining experience. We use them for a convenience. There's usually one close by so when I need to use Uber Eats instead of going there then there's no way for me to check the accuracy of my order so once it's handed to me by the Uber Eats delivery person I'm on my own. I've considered checking every order before they they leave but if something is missing then it would be up to them if they wanted to go back and get a missing item. So this was the case today. I took advantage of the two for one specials they had and when I opened the bag items were missing. All I'm saying is do better McDonalds. As I got to work, I unwrapped the sandwich and was disappointed. It was inedible. The McGriddle was burnt. Cheese look like burnt plastic stuck to the buns. I had to throw it away. Then I came back here after work, thinking maybe it's just a one time mistake. No biggie! This time I ordered a number 6 (10 piece chicken nuggets meal) . Took my first bite and knew it was a mistake. The fries and nuggets was both stale. It was a sad moment for me. For a multi million dollar franchise in the heart of the heights. They served me old reheated burgers from the day before. I visited this location for lunch on Black Friday. I ordered 2 cheeseburgers and fries when they first started serving lunch. The fries were lukewarm, wilted and hard. But the burgers confirmed for me they they served me reheated food from the day before. When I opened the burgers the bread was stuck to the wrapper - something that only happens when you microwave it. I am grossed out. Typical McDonald's workers, the ice cream machine "wasn't working" at 9pm. This is what is wrong with America, lazy workers.

This used to be the best McDonalds in Houston now it is the absolute worse. I mean to start the app was down internally and you couldn't use points or deals and that was bad but to add to it the cashier was inept and had the biggest attitude chip on her shoulder. It was beyond a comedy skit stereotyping the job and employee. Sadly enough the shift manager Fabian must have been newly trained and he missed the opportunity to upsell the lettuce and tomato I wanted on my quarter pounder. He was making efforts impress upon the cashier by reprimanding me for wanting lettuce and tomato. Then he came to the pick up window and asked me to pull forward for 25 minutes. It's really obvious there is a shortage of workers in the US right now but this is awful. I will probably never return to this location. Damn I hope they didn't tamper with my food. read more

Much much better experience here, when compared to the McD's off Yale in the north Heights. The food appears to be better prepared to-order than said other location. You wouldn't expect there to be such a big disparity between locations, given how famous McDonalds is for QC - but a one year sample size across both locations strongly suggests otherwise to me. read more

Awful. McDonalds is my go to for my cheat day. I first came in asking to use the restroom but was told it was closed. It was an emergency so I went into Kroger then headed back to McDonalds to get my meal. I ordered a Crispy Chicken Sandwich with mustard. Summary: I took my son and two of his grandparents here to get his first-ever Happy Meal after his last day of school, and the staff here was really great to him/us (which I was especially not expecting when I looked over previous yelp reviews). First of all, my son had his eye on a specific toy for his Happy Meal, and the staff looked through all the toys to see if they could find that specific one. Then, less than a minute after opening his chocolate milk, while pretending to fly his new toy through the air, he spilled pretty much every last drop of it on the floor. Grandma asked the staff if we could get a mop because there was now a giant chocolate puddle underneath us, mostly on my feet. (So giant I had to wipe down my sandals/feet before we left because I was leaving a trail of chocolate footprints on the floor when I got up to get more napkins.) Instead, they gave us a new chocolate milk, which we didn't ask for or expect, and told us they would clean up the spill. I wish I would have noted the names of the people who helped us because they were so accommodating in toy selection and chocolate milk replacement, which helped turn my son's tears back into a smile. The only reason this wasn't five stars for me is that I wish McDonald's had some healthier options on the menu for adults (like a salad), and their chicken nuggets can't hold a candle to Chickfila chicken nuggets. (Not that that is something an individual location can change.) However, I do think Mcdonald's has the best kids' meal toys, which is one reason we will be back. (I believe McDonald's is planning to reduce the plastic in Happy Meal toys by 2025 to reduce plastic waste - hopefully the toys stay just as good!) read more
