when ever I'm visiting a place I have to search up where the nearest McDonald's is I'd say my favorite food on the menu is the nuggets MMM they are so good!they fry's are good EVERY THINGS SO GOOD I highly recommend to try the happy meal too a happy meal a day keeps you happy all day!(don't believe me on that) the service is so quick im in line for 5mins and I Already have my food!and it's always so clean in there!im surprised bc every time I go to Taco bell 1.i gets sick 2its disgusting 3.in Taco Bell it's always so dirty inside BUT,McDonald's saves the day! and the icees MhM they are soooo good I get one every time I go I WILL ALERT YALL DO NOT GO TO THE MCDONALDS BY THE ALBANY MALL IN GEORGIA THEY HAVE THE SLOWEST LINE,STAFF AND THE FOODS ALWAYS COLD but anyways either way I love McDonald's no matter what but my food has to be hot hope this helps! read more

I don't want to review the food because it's standard McD's food and the food here was fine. I just wanted to give the staff a 5 star review for keeping a clean place, being professional and serving their customers quickly and politely. The manager on duty was a Hispanic female and she was running that place like a well oiled machine. Great job all! read more

6/2/26 @ 101 PM I had a question about my order. The manager was asked by an employee. The manager and someone else began yelling about me in the back. The manager then came out and immediately started to yell at me. I asked her not to when she said that she was not not only one yelling (yea, someone else in the back was, I was cool and calm) and the manager then stomped off in the back not to reappear. I asked multiple times for a refund, the manager would not reappear, so I said I would have to contest the charge and left. A business employee should never yell at a customer for a simple question. The young lady that takes your order is the worst! Sge has a bad attitude and is Not polite. This is my second encounter with her. Today she said hey to different customer , I thought she was talking to me since I had been waiting to place my order for 8 mins. She told me "Not You". I understand they are probably short staffed. When this McDonald's location first opened, it was extremely good for a McDonald's. First trip here, the burger was good but the fries were just average. I didn't complain or even mention the fries to anyone. In just a couple of minutes, a young employee walked up and handed me a fresh order of HOT fries. I rarely eat McDonald's, but whenever I do, it has been here.....until now. The quality of the food and the service have dropped to a level that I am no longer willing to accept. The fries are limp, cold and greasy. The Big Mac looked like someone had tossed the parts into a box with no thought of assembling a sandwich. When I mentioned an ice cream, I was just told that they couldn't make ice cream right now. I am now DONE with the McDonalds franchise. read more

If I could leave negative stars for this McDonalds I would. 8 times out of 10 they have been out of what I was wanting, there was even one time I simply wanted a coke and before I could place my order they informed me that they were completely out of hamburgers.... HAMBURGERS! How poorly mismanaged does a McDonalds have to be to be out of hamburgers? Not only are they almost out or the machines are turned off (not even close to closing time mind you), but they take forever to even answer at the drive-thru, there have been times when I've waited well over a minute before anyone even says anything, it's like they think if they don't answer you'll go away and they can continue to not do their job. Again I blame this on mismanagement and the fact that no one feels like they should have to do any work. I don't know if they need to just get new workers or new management, but something needs to be done. I wouldn't even normally leave a review for a fast food restaurant, but I've had more issues and aggravation with this McDonalds than any place I can think of. read more

Poor customer service and the eating area was not fit for anyone to eat at. Food was dry and overcooked. It appears as if the hamburgers were a day or more older. Would not recommend this for adults, let alone children. read more

This McDonald's never seems to disappoint enough. They never get your order right even the most simple task as giving you sauce when you ask for it at the window and they still don't give it to you seems above what they can handle. For several years my family stopped eating at this McDonald's because it was literally every single time we went through McDonald's they would miss our order up we are back at that point now because it just seems like a waste of time. The cleanliness could use some work. More attention to the drink station is needed. Tables, chairs, and bench seats needed cleaning more often. Over all service is okay drive through is slow. read more

My husband and I stop at this location every time we visit Hiawassee. The staff is awesome! Food is nice and hot and we love their fries (hot, salty and perfect). We always are greeted with a smile. The McDonald's near where we live, the staff hardly acknowledges our existence and the food is not as hot and fresh tasting. It's polar opposite in comparison. read more

It's McDonald's so how can you screw so much stuff up. Machine was out of ice so the young employee takes the filthy lid off and sticks it in the machine to swirl it around to see if ice is on the bottom. The ice tea was nearly out and trickled out in the form of syrup. Nothing but punks standing around socializing behind the counter instead of making sure things are working and clean around here. As I'm leaving there still standing around doing nothing with the ice machine.wish I could get a job making money standing around goofing off with my friends . THE ABOSOLUTE WORST WOW, I never thought I'd ever have to write a review of a McDonalds...and such a bad one as this for sure...It's Saturday evening and we go to the drive through....Happily, there is not a car in line ( as it turns out not a good sign) We order 2 # 4 Combo's a 10 piece nugget , and drinks. Pull up pay and go to the pick up window....Immediately got our drinks, and then we start to wait...It's getting a little long...but I said to my wife , " That's okay they must be making them fresh.....WRONG !!!!!!!! food comes, we drive home approx. 8 minutes....The Nuggets were cold and I mean cold, but the burgers were the real eye opener, they were dried up, looked as though they were under the lamp for hours, and the French fries were too cold and limp to eat...Has to be the worst McDonalds in the USA....nay, maybe the world......How long is food allowed to sit before it's taken off the line....We just moved to Hiawassee, and this was our first disappointment, in anything about the area and the town..... read more

Consistent as you would expect from a McDonalds. The drive through is always busy but moves fast. The inside is fine.

This has to be one of the worst managed McDonalds anywhere. They seem to be always out of something and mess up the orders more times than not. Very poorly managed. I'd avoid it if you can. read more
