If I could give them no stars I would. Walked in at 7:05 pm on a Friday night. Upon arrival we were greeted by a girl taking our order who promptly asked 'for here, or to go'. Being out of town we planned to eat there. Right as we said 'for here', she began to shake her head no and told us 'dining room is closed'. In a very rude tone. Great Zaxby's location in Hiawassee. Staff is super friendly. Store is clean. Wait times as normal for Zaxby's. I am still not happy about how small the chicken fingers are now compared to the past. My Salad was very good. Order was correct. read more

While I love the food this location could use some work. I got there at 9:00 (they close at 10) and the lights were dimmed and chairs were all up. I tried the door anyway and they were in fact opened. The two teens running the place just like to close up early I guess. If you do go make sure to get there plenty before closing time. read more

Unfortunately this location has been nothing but unreliable. They now close at 6, and don't allow inside seating again. Sometimes closing earlier without warning because of various staff reasons. During the winter they'll close for days and claim bad weather but it'll be sunny and 50 out. Butttt, the food has always been well prepared and the staff is friendly. Just frustrating pulling up at 6:30 at dinner time and they're closed :/ read more

One of THE WORST Zaxby's ever....and I'm usually a big fan until I got a look at the kitchen as I did this in nasty place. I'm sure the overworked staff did their best but SHAME on Corporate Management for allowing this! This Zaxby's location overall offers consistently good customer service, and the food is also consistently good. The one time I had an issue with an order, the manger went out of her way in order to make it right for me. I would recommend this Zaxby's. read more

Wow hate to do this one, Zaxbys has been a family favorite for awhile and we have ate there countless times in a lot of different locations. This location has been going down hill for most part of a year, bad food, dirty restaurant most of the time with a indifferent response from the management down. We had supper there last night, I had the simple finger plate, my wife had wings and things with a side salad. Our food was heat lamp warm at best and the salad had turned brown and disgusting. I brought it to their attention and the person at the counter agreed they wouldn't eat it. They made a fresh on that was up to standard but the fact that they just don't give a crap about their service or food was blatant. After a 18.00 bill, cold food and being one of 6 people in all in the restaurant we left disappointed and disgusted. No more of our money to them, take my advice and eat at Taco Bell next door! read more

Usually get good food and service but I think there is a management issue there. Placed order via drive-thru and got home to discover order was wrong. Returned to drive-thru for correction and drove half-way home before second guessing all was fine....which it was not. Had to return a THIRD time (15 min drive one way each time) to get order correct. Went in and asked for the store manager...got a 20-something kid. Told him what happened (each time) and showed my ticket to him. He said he would go make the meals himself. Apologized but gave no other compensation for costing me and hour's time and mileage just to get my order right, which I think was cheap of him. read more

As far as taste and food quality, it's great aside from this time my slaw tasted like it had been frozen. Customer service is extremely lacking with attitude. We always stop here on our way to Murphy Nc. On 8/16 I went in due to the long line in the drive thru. I was the only one at the counter for over 5 min. The drive thru girl was busy talking about what she was going to do for Christmas to the guys in the back who saw me standing there. She finally walks by quickly barely looking at me saying "someone will be with you" . Then someone from the back came out front and said "they will be with you soon". Then the guy who works up front came and said he had gotten something in his eye which I understood. I ordered my Cobb Salad with fried chicken and two other items. We got to Murphy NC ready to eat and I started noticing I had no chicken in my salad. So I paid $7.99 for a bag of salad, cucumbers, cheese and dried onions. We wont be coming back to this location. I should have checked my food but have never had this problem inside the store or with my food. read more
