The conversation was good, the service was good. Even though we could tell they were shorthanded, when Michael was there, he got things done with a great attitude and professional manner. It took 15 minutes for our side salads to come out, and another 20 minutes before the steaks came. And, it wasn't even our server that brought them. The food was ice-cold. She did not refill our drinks. It was another server that did that as well. They put our steaks into to-go containers and went to cook new steaks. After 20 minutes, the manager brought those to us. We were at this place for an hour and a half, and the server came to our table about 4 times. If it weren't for another server in a different section, we wouldn't have gotten any help. While awaiting our food, one of the employees started yelling politics at the TV which was located behind us. At first I ignored it, but then he returned and continued again, which at this point I politely asked him to stop. Which he grumbled and said the TV shouldn't be on that station anyway and walked to the Bar area. Then, he made a disparging comment about me loudly to another employee. At this point, I'd had enough of his juvenile behavior and called him out on his statement and added that we came for lunch and not his political ranting. At this point he shut up, wisely. As for the food, average. They charge a surcharge for using a credit card and also the prices charged did not match the published prices on the menu, to their benefit of course. That's dishonest. It wasn't my first time trying them but on this occasion they took me back to old school Captain D's. She was apologetic about our three minute wait - which tells you, Robin is a great server!
