We stayed in Room 10 which features a king size bed and a large soaking tub. The bed was comfortable, clean, and the bathroom was sizable. We always felt like there was a lot of space to unwind and relax when we were in our room. We were offered the Fall menu when we were there. On day 1 I had the apple crumble French toast (AMAZING) and I'm not even a big French toast guy. Your table has fresh orange juice, water, and coffee/tea when you come down and get seated. Loved this. On day 2 I had the traditional breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff was friendly and accommodating - as expected from a well run B&B. We were on site for a small gathering of gamer friends and so I also tried some of their offerings in the small cafe. I tried Italian wedding soup for lunch and got several hot tea drinks. All excellent. They have a small "snack room" near the main entrance that has popcorn, and water, coffee maker, and other small amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of the most visitor-focused B&B we've had the pleasure of staying in. It sounds obvious to say that, but it his place really puts your money to work to make you enjoy your stay. I'm unsure where the pastries are from, but they all looked delicious & I loved the oatmeal cream pie. The cafe has multiple areas of seating for you to yearn, write, read, study, yap in. As a bonus, the space is beautiful with plenty of seating, and a parrot that fascinated my toddler. We live about 90 minutes away, but as soon as we left, we started thinking of reasons to go back.

I learned that the owners met in Chile, where they were inspired to start a donut and coffee food truck. They sold their handcrafted donuts from a vintage VW bus on the streets of Santiago before eventually bringing their passion to Pennsylvania. Today, they have two locations, and I had the pleasure of visiting the Jim Thorpe shop. The storefront is charming, welcoming, and has a few seats where you can relax and enjoy your treats with a fresh cup of coffee. Best of all, everything is made fresh on-site. Their display case is filled with an impressive selection of classic and specialty donuts, along with colorful macarons, French toast cinnamon rolls, flaky croissants, and a full lineup of coffee drinks ranging from lattes to iced coffees. Honestly...wow! Deciding what to order wasn't easy. Since it was already midday, I kept it simple and went with a Boston Cream donut. It was incredibly fresh, light, and filled with rich, creamy custard, then topped with a smooth layer of chocolate. Absolutely delicious! A special shout-out to Sarah, who made the visit even better. I had no idea what to expect. Was it a factory? A cafe? Turns out...it is both! AND, not just coffee, but chocolate as well, two of my most favorite foods. We had excellent service from our barista, who offered us samples of the 100% dark chocolate (my favorite, I eat it wrapped in dates), and other. We ordered a decaf cappuccino and a spiced Mexican cocoa. Both were delicious. We did a self-guided tour and that was awesome. We purchased the decaf coffee beans and the 100% dark chocolate to take home. The peaceful ambiance of the inside was only made more intense when we walked outside and saw the row of gigantic pine trees overlooking the beautiful Pocono Mountains.
