There were other cups all sitting on the drink machine that I saw the girl move around to make our drinks. It just seemed like they were in a daze. This sonic is absolute garbage and representative of why the chain is failing. Our order came out to $11.23. I paid with a $20 and the girl at the window attempted to hand me $7 change. I asked what the total was, and she said "$11.23 but we aren't giving exact change, so I can only give you $8." I showed her that I was only given $7 and she handed me the $1 but not the rest of my change. Ok, the alleged change shortage is not an excuse to short change customers. But alright. Don't come here. My husband began to choke while we were still in the drive-up. We couldn't get it out ourselves, so I ran inside to get assistance as he is wheelchair bound: I asked for help and for someone to call 911. Not only did they not fucking call 911, three staff members stood around like idiots while my husband choked and I tried to assist him and get his wheelchair. The staffs only response was "get him out of the car" and "I don't want to hurt him". He's choking, last thing you need to worry about is hurting him. You mean to tell me in your entire staff, no one has the brain cells to call 911, or is trained to give CPR? We will not be coming again. We are lucky my husband survived. I can understand being scared and not knowing what to do, but ignoring calling 911 is egregious at best. When someone asks you to do so, you call. Train your staff better before someone actually dies. read more

The best thing about my order was my sprite (which I didn't even order). It looked like there was only one man working there, so I understand why it could take some time. We placed a mobile order, typed in what spot we parked in on our app... Just to find out it's drive thru only. They have no signs telling you this. We came here as a last resort because we were staying at the nearby residence inn. I ordered the number 11 (3 piece chicken strips meal with fries or tots, toast, and a single onion ring). We had to repeat some of our order twice because the guy wasn't paying attention. I also asked if I could get onion rings instead and was told it was no problem. The guy brought out our food and waited awkwardly so we figured we needed to tip him, he got a $5 and left. Then I opened my food... it has 3 small overly hard chicken strips, tater tots, and a single onion ring. I went to go tell them the error but it appears all the doors either say restroom or employee only. I caught a girl coming back from a car and told her the mistake and she left with my food. Five minutes later she came back and said "here is your food, but the manager told me to tell you that we cannot do this for you regularly." Which was bizarre because the guy I ordered from said it was fine AND CHARGED ME AN EXTRA $0.75 FOR IT!!! What absolutely horrible customer service and policies. Why say it's fine when it's not? Someone needs to be re-trained. And the food? McDonald's has WAY better chicken strips with some meat on them and they don't hurt my mouth because of how hard they are. read more

Ordered onion rings at drive thru...we don't have that....even though the sign showed multiple sizes available. Finally found something they had, mozzarella sticks. A medium had 6 sticks. I went to there late two nights ago. I always have a hard time eating out because I have an egg allergy. The website was completely wrong on the allergen menu, luckily the ladies working went above and beyond to help me. Since this was the first time going I was very excited, pulling up to the screen I was hoping for outdoor service but they only had drive thru. I got a super sonic burger, it was good, I am not a fan of mayo, so if you don't like that, say no mayo. I made that mistake. I got a chili dog, it was alright, could have been better, wasn't really cooked or hot. But the chili was good. A side of tots & popcorn chicken, super good. Good size & yummy sauces. Signature sauce tastes like the campfire sauce from Red Robin. Corn dogs were amazing, not a fan of corn bread but the breading was delicious. The new pickle burger was amazing, it had fried pickles & fresh pickles, with a pickle sauce. Sounds like a lot but it was a perfect bit every time. We stopped here on the way home from a long trip. We actually passed a ton of fast food places hoping for something outside the typical McDs or BKs. We probably should have just went with one of those. The service was pretty slow (drive through window) but I didn't mind as I don't necessarily consider Sonic a "fast food" place compared to the other two I mentioned. The sodas were mostly ice and completely flat. The burgers were thrown together messily and I was covered in mayo from simply trying to unwrap the darn thing. The food didn't have much flavor either, besides the (what seemed like) a pound of onions on it. The tots were just OK. The Reese's Blast was probably the only thing I even remotely enjoyed. The staff was friendly and easily took care of our somewhat large disjointed order (had two teenagers with me). At any rate this was a nice stop prior to a long ride back home. During my 400 mile solo road trip, I stopped for some tater tots - they were overly greasy, salty and a "small" order only had 5 tots in it. My first Sonic experience and it definitely lived up to its hype. I actually cam here with the first reviewer! Haha The staff was amazingly friendly and the food was exactly what I expected, but so much better after a long day of snowboarding at nearby eagle rock. Bottom Line: Sonic is for the experience right? Nope I got more than that. I guess this location they like to have their A team staffed Saturday night. I have to say this was my worst experience at a sonic before. Every aspect of the order was wrong. They forgot the lettuce on the burger, the wrong sizes were given for the fries and slushy. This was probably my first or second time at Sonic; I recall having them a looooooong time ago, and we don't have any Sonics close to where Iive. I know that I have a lot of friends who have been to Sonic, love Sonic, and swear by Sonic, but I personally still don't get the hype. I ordered the Supersonic burger combo that came with onion rings and a drink (I got the unsweetened iced tea with lemon), as well as their large popcorn chicken. The burger was nothing to write home about. The patties were small and were dry. The lettuce and tomato tasted fresh enough. The pickles were nice, big, and juicy. My order didn't come with onions, which I didn't notice earlier wasn't included...so...FYI! The onion rings were good and were fresh. A pleasant surprise was the ice tea with lemon! It actually tasted like someone squeezed some fresh lemon juice into my iced tea, which almost never happens when I order this drink. Now, it's certainly not something that will get me to go back. But I had to laud them for this effort. The popcorn chicken was really disappointing. Like many fried chicken dishes at fast food places, it suffered from too much batter, and not enough chicken. I knew what I might be getting myself into when I ordered the popcorn chicken, but was too hungry to care. The worst part though was that the batter was not good. It tasted like it had a hint of cinnamon, and I'm not sure if that was intentional or not (they serve some fried cinnamon things, so I wonder if my popcorn chicken batter was contaminated). Overall, I found the food to be a bit overpriced for the low quality burger and popcorn chicken. I wasn't really crazy about the eat-in-your-car concept. I am typically trying one of the many variations of breakfast burritos they offer in their line-up or enjoying a 1/2 price milkshake special. Sonic needs to watch upwards creep of their prices across all menu items over the last few years. Me and my fiance went here after a long drive home....we drove up to the window/speaker and as we were about to order the lights went out. At this point there were 4 cars behind me and everyone was confused. A voice came out after a few minutes and said "oh we are closed". I said to the voice that your sign said your open and the lights were still on, so why are you not open? I received zero responses and at that point I drove off and left. I was furious and angry that your advertising stated you were open, but yet your lazy employees were too worthless to do their job. If you don't want to work or do what you are supposed to do, then why are you there? The best thing is that your commercials, with those two happy go lucky guys, always seem to get the best service ever, but in reality the service sucks. Your commercials are so far away from the actual experience you get from your chains. Nothing irritates me more than false advertising like your commercials do, compared to the employees you have. I have not gone back to sonic and never will, until you actually provide employees that care or help anyone. Sonic is a joke. At least McDonald's is open 24/7 on a weekend around me as well as all week in general. Their service is great compared to your sad chain. Their service at that point is 100% better than yours in general. I hate sonic. I really do. No wonder there are 4 McDonald's around my area and 1 of yours.
