With the few employees that they have, I understand that the business is a bad place to eat. There is always maybe 1-3 people working and the customer service needs to be imrpived. Orders are slow to take and even picking up a mobile order takes 15 minutes just for a front worker to pick up a bag and a drink and push it out. I'm a Platinum Dasher with an excellent record and always follow proper pickup procedures. When I arrived, the employee at the window was rude and asked me to drive around the building again to repeat the name, even though I had already provided it. I've picked up from this location many times without issues, and this was unnecessary. When I calmly explained this, she refused to hand over the order and told me to leave. This was very stressful and unfair, especially after working long hours. I've never had problems with any other store, only this location, which has repeatedly treated me poorly. Special recognition to Ryan for helping this disabled US Army veteran (me) navigate the menu to get exactly what we wanted, afforded, and needed on this chilly, rainy, hunger-filled evening. Ryan has customer service skills that in my 30 years of human resources management make this gentleman a valuable asset to an organization. Our chicken was tender inside, perfectly crispy outside, mashed potatoes and gravy melted in our mouths, and our scrumptious meal included delightfully fresh hot biscuits. Popeyes is located almost directly across from the Laurel Mall. First thing I noticed when entering, they have taken out seating and were missing a lot of chairs, but the tables remained. Has the standard Popeyes menu from which I ordered the nuggets combo with Cajun fries. I was happy with the food as it was clearly fresh and came out in a reasonably timely manner. A few other odd things with this location, however, was the condiments station was left empty and you had to ask the counter for Ketchup and other sauces. They also do not have a Coke freestyle, but have a regular Coke fountain. A pleasant surprise was the bathrooms were very clean. Overall, this location was a good stop. read more

Let's start with as soon as you drive in lot the landscaping I hideous,tall grass and weeds very unsightly.Then as driving up to drive through you look inside of restaurant and the windows are filthy dirty.After order is placed and drive up to window to pay this window is also filthy dirty and you look inside on floor, paper, napkins and straws on floor and also looked dirty. Now for the best part,was told to pull up to end of curb and 45 minutes later my food arrive. I was patiently waiting for my food because I k ow it could get busy I ask the cashier girl who had started making my order but had it sitting there opened getting cold and exposed to whatever was that my order just sitting there getting cold and she snapped yelling I need ro be patient because they have alot of order.I told her I understand that but why is my food sitting opened and getting cold.she told her manager to handle me before she handles me which I didn't take lightly because that's a threat. I often come here all the way from frackville pa because it my favorite place to get chicken and i was never treated in this manner I don't know her name but I do know that she was the only non Hispanic person there. Well, this was the worst Popeyes experience we have ever had. From the service to the food, it was horrendous. I placed a mobile order 15 minutes ahead of my arrival: 3 chicken sandwiches (2 spicy, 1 hattie, both with extra pickles), 6 spicy tenders, 2 fries, 2 biscuits, 2 cheesecake pies. Upon arrival inside the restaurant, my order wasn't ready for pickup. A team member was *very* confused that I placed a mobile order and struggled to find it. Eventually he did. As he filled the order, he told us he had none of the pies and couldn't credit us because it was an online order. I would have to contact corporate to get a refund. Great. Why was I able to order it if it wasn't available? The entire staff was very young, with no visible leader / supervisor to keep things on track. Many seemed confused, not sure what to do, etc. One employee was just moving fries around on the tray, but not filling orders with them. It was strange. Once we tasted our food, we were disgusted. We love Popeyes, but this food was terrible. Everything was very greasy and tasted like it had been sitting around for a long time. The fries were stuck together in clumps, the tenders were so greasy they left a film in our mouths, the edges of the buns were stale, and nothing was hot. The spicy chicken sandwiches were made with small chicken tenders (see photo) and the new "spicy" hattie sauce tasted like Chinese takeout duck sauce. Absolutely no heat, runny, and sticky. Gross. We are big Popeyes fans and were excited to stop in on our way home from vacation, only to be completely disappointed. Where are the brand standards?? Zero stars from us. Don't go here. read more

That's fine, I'll take spicy with red beans & rice. 3) At widow. We are out of rice now too. (It's why I picked Popeyes) - choose fries I need a dipping sauce - cashier said she put a sweet heat on the bag. Not what I wanted either. I wanted a mustard but the middle eastern woman couldn't understand. She kept saying "sweet heat in bag". 4) Leave and try chicken...It's burnt. I threw the whole dang box in the trash. Worse Popeyes ever bought a 14 piece chicken got 8 piece I told him fry's and Mac and cheese got Mac and crush potato

There were no drinks other than diet sodas and water. We waited 10 minutes for food in the drive through, the car behind us in line was served first and our food came to us cold. When asking for barbecue at the window, the employee said "Yeah, I know what I'm giving you." and proceeded to forget my barbecue sauce. Then when the food arrived, the fries and mashed potatoes were missing as well. Inside the restaurant when asking for our missing food, another employee said "I know you got your fries because I made them" which was untrue. Then, instead of a large mashed potato, we were given 3 smalls. Overall, a very unprofessional experience due to poor business ethics. Will not be coming back to this Popeyes. read more

We are new to the area, less than a year. The Popeyes near our old place was amazing, so we were excited to have one here now. However, in our 3 visits so far, it has been a major failure each time. Visit 1. Out of chicken. Yes, you heard me right. Completely out of chicken we were told. So we left. Visit 2. Out of tenders, only regular chicken. But out of spicy, only mild. So we ordered that. It was ice cold. They also had no Dr Pepper, and no sauces. Like zero sauces of any kind. Visit 3. Our chicken was cold again, and our fries were cold and soggy. Again, no sauces for tenders of any kind, and lady made us feel that it was somehow OUR fault. So needless to say, that was strike 3 and we wont be back. Very disappointing read more

Let me start by saying I am from Florida and eat at Popeye's every once in a while. In Florida, the food has always been fresh and delicious. I stopped at this particular location while visiting the area. I went inside to place and pick up my order. The place could have been cleaner but I was hungry and always had a good experience with Popeye's in the past. I noticed the man preparing the chicken had gloves on but he was touching everything with them including his hair. A young lady working in the back opened some sort of package with her teeth. They were out of cole slaw which is something I happen to like from this place but I ordered other items instead. It took a good 15 minutes to get my food. There wasn't even a crowd inside. When we got the food to my family's home we noticed that instead of getting all dark meat which I ordered the order was instead ALL white meat. The chicken seemed old, overcooked, and chewy. The mashed potatoes had dry lumps in it and had maybe a teaspoon of gravy in it. The mac and cheese tasted like it was cooked two days ago. I called the phone number on the receipt and was told to come back to the restaurant and get my money back. So I drove back to the restaurant, about 10 minutes away and was told that I in fact could not get a refund but I could get more food. Needless to say, more food was the last thing I wanted. I took my receipt and called the Corporate office to try and get assistance.....that was three days ago. Still haven't heard from anyone. I would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

I love Popeyes food but had a horrible experience at the one at 556 Susquehannna Blvd, Hazleton, PA. I wanted to treat my daughter and family to a Popeyes meal so we went thru the drive thru being that the dine-in was closed. It took 20 minutes to get thru the line ( in the rain no less) to finally place our order with someone who hardly spoke English. It was horrible. We're told they only have diet drinks so we get no drinks with our combos and no discount. We get to the window to pay and are told it will be 8-10 minutes to cook my blackened chicken strips and to pull forward. They would bring it out with the rest of the food. We sat there for another 25 minutes. We got out and banged on the door, tried calling with no one answering before we ended leaving and going to Wendy's across the street. Ridiculous service, my god. They had no problem taking my money but couldn't bring out the food. We'll never go back there again. read more

This is the worst Popeyes location I have ever been to, staffed by rude teenagers. Their bathrooms had overflowing garbage cans and no hand soap. The drive thru was terribly slow, it took a few minutes for someone to answer in the drive thru. They parked me since I had a large order and I spent 10 minutes waiting for someone to bring me my food. I ended up walking inside and a rude woman said they had no idea about my order and bring the receipt so they can see. Another 10 minutes later they handed me a bag of food but none of it was correct, they gave me pieces of chicken rather than tenders. All the food was burned and not appetizing at all. The staff were terribly rude. Avoid this restaurant, it is dirty and unfriendly. read more

We stopped in on a long drive and this place was the worst! We stood in line for what must have been 15 minutes because the people behind the counter weren't paying attention, then they got our orders wrong, then the bathrooms were atrocious! There was no toilet paper in the ladies' room and it obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while, plus the soap dispenser had been ripped off the wall and hadn't been replaced! I know that's some FB challenge that was going on with kids at the time, but the restaurant should have at least had the manager run to a store and grab some hand soap for their bathrooms and removed that damaged dispenser from the room. My husband said the men's room was disgusting as well. As in you don't even want to step on that floor. It was appalling. I ended up giving the employees a piece of my mind after having been ignored and then getting our order wrong and seeing the bathrooms. Do NOT try this Popeye's!! read more
