They make the second drive thru lane wait even if you were there long before the other car. Garbage, close this location!

I've been here several more times since the last review and it's actually sad how this restaurant and customers suffer due to understaffing. You can't clone good workers and this place is suffering due to lack of bodies. Not my problem except while I'm waiting for my order, I suppose. This all came into perspective as I was waiting inside for my order, and a gentleman came in from his car outside, screaming while asking where the F his order was. Sign of the times... The food has been good but the restaurant filthy throughout-floors, tables, restrooms, counters. No time to clean if you want to get your food! I simply ordered 2 sandwiches using the app and was asked to pull forward fromthedrive-thru window, I told her no I only ordered 2 sandwiches. Then a manager came to tue window and LIED to my face Telling me that I needed to pull forward because the Quater pounder burgers were made to order(which 1140am) is a bold face lie, then she also said that the car behind me Only ordered a drink but she Parked that car as well. Therefore she LIED to me about that as well. I ended up going inside about 2 minutes later to get my 2 Sandwiches which were finished but had not been brought out. I understand about drive-thru times but this is unacceptable at the expense of customer service. 2 cars and 2 orders were parked which causes longer wait time for customers because there is now no urgency to clear the car to stop the clock. And previously in the past I have been forgotten when parked and after about 10 minutes went inside and had to have MY then cold food remade. These 2 cars above mentioned were the only cars thru drive-thru during this time and nobody was ordering or waiting for their food when I went inside to get my food. This is unacceptable customer service. The manager that parked me was inside talking about ME when I walked up to the counter and when I told her she LIED to me, she just rolled her eyes and said "WHATEVER" This is Rude management. All fast food places, but this one in particular, needs to take a page out of Chick fil a's playbook. Chick fila can have 100 cars in the drive through and you still get out with hot fresh accurate food orders within 5 min This McDonalds is either heavily understaffed or just has super inefficient/ lazy staff. I deliver for Uber and on a nightly basis i get called here and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait for my orders. This is the worst McDonald's in Harrisburg. It took 15 minutes from the time I placed an order until I got up to the pick up window and then I sat for another 5 minutes until I received my order, I pulled away and there were other cars pulled into waiting areas still waiting for their orders. I got about a block away from McDonald's and reached into my bag for one of the two hamburgers I ordered along with my Coke andy burgers we're cold and the buns we're dry and over toasted. This is not the first time something like this has happened at this location, but it will be the last time. They can now take orders twice as fast, but they take even longer to get orders out. read more

I would give 0 stars if possible. Woman accused us of not stating our order, while in the drive thru, but would've known we ordered if she stopped messing around with coworkers. I have tried to give this McDonalds the benefit of the doubt but it has serious issues. Food is either cold or luke warm at best and the staff service( specifically the night into morning) is poor. Have witnessed servers on cell phones while ringing up an order and acting like we the customer are an inconvenience. Staff definitely not happy. Stopped at this McDonalds earlier this week at 5:18 am and the doors were locked and the staff was inside but shook their heads stating that they were not open for in store dining. The sign on the door and in all online ads state that in store dining begins at 5am. Management needs to become aware of issues stated in reviews not only on this web site but others as well. read more

I give 1 star because I have to, otherwise I wouldn't give it any stars. This McDonald's should be closed, worst service of any fast-food chain anywhere. It took me 18 minutes for the worst service ever. Had to repeat my order many times, (this happens every time) (1 car in front of me), took a long time to pay and then I pull up to pick up food and I get 2 regular burgers nothing special, and the only thing on them is pickles, order a small fry and boy was it small, like half bag full with cold uneditable pieces maybe 2 real french fries. I try to give this place a benefit of a doubt, but the service never changes, I shouldn't say that, it does change for the worst. This place is unsanitary. While waiting to place our drive-through order we saw an employee climb into the trash dumpster, hold the lid up with his hands and then head and stomp around condensing the garbage. He then proceeded into the restaurant. I said to my son "I hope he doesn't go near the food after being in the dumpster." Sure enough, when we pulled up to the window, he was the one trying to hand us our food order. I asked him: "...weren't you just in the dumpster?" He replied: "I washed my hands, SIR." A person who was physically immersed in a trash dumpster a moment earlier should not be anywhere near the food being served in a restaurant. We told them to keep the food and drove away. read more

Worst service ever...slowest drive through...terrible management!!!! Save your money!

I usually never right reviews, but if I could, I would narrow it down to no stars. My sister and I were patiently waiting in the DRIVE-THROUGH for 47 minutes and it wasn't even busy at the time. The employees did not welcome or greet us, nor did they apologize for the extremely long wait. I ordered a number 4 crispy (chicken sandwhich) and when I opened it up, the lettuce was soggy and old, the bread was super stale, almost as hard as a rock.. I was going to just eat the "crispy" chicken but even that was soggy and the sandwich itself had a funky smell to it. Advice: if you're selling something that you wouldn't eat, don't sell it!!! Service was bad, drive through was bad and the food was horrible. It's disrespectful that anyone would be lazy and obviously carless enough to give a customer an old sandwhich that they can get sick from!!! read more

Only serves Lunch from 11-4 am. Shake machine never operational. Rude staff. I ask simple questions and always get a roundabout answer and a tone like they are mad I am wondering why a product is not being offered when I was a pretty frequent customer. Only one open late where I live. all others now close at midnight. :( Constantly messing up my orders and trying to give me other peoples food. The food was about what you would expect. It will make a turd. They were incredibly unorganized. It took 25 minutes for my order to come out. A young guy had brought it out but took it back. About 3 minutes later, a short older woman brought it back out. I'm pretty sure the young guy couldn't read the '54' on the receipt. This is why illiteracy sucks, folks. Ugh, one star is the lowest one can go? This place hurts my soul. When they opened they were so cool and fun! We were excited and even had kids birthdays here. They had Marvel superheroes everywhere, games for the kids, fun sparkly booths...now you pull up, the landscape is sad, you walk in and your shoes squeak on the sticky floor, as you enter a barren wasteland inside. The service is usually bland, there are a few employees that have been there a while that are somewhat attentive but mostly they could give a shit and you can wait or go somewhere else. I usually go in now because the drive through is a joke. My order is usually wrong so at least if I'm inside they can fix it. There's usually stickies all over even worse by the soda machine, trash usually strewn about, maybe ketchup but prob not. I've actually did their surveys on the receipt multiple times just to beg them to improve. I've actually had people blatantly turn their backs on me at the drive through window. The food...it's usually okay if you get what u ordered. I only go here because it's closest to me but it's rare anymore. I wish they would step up their game! read more

This is by far one of the slowest McDonald's I've ever been to. I know when you go to a fast food place that you shouldn't expect much and trust me I don't. This morning I was at the drive thru and I knew the line was long but nothing unmanageable or so you would think. I ordered my coffee drink and sat for several minutes without moving from the order window. I ended up leaving before I paid for my order because I was waiting so long and I was on my way to work. This is not the first time I've had to leave this drive thru but in the past when I left the drive thru I hadn't even placed my order yet. I just couldn't wait any longer. That is just ridiculous. Now I know that some people get to the drive thru window and have no idea what to order or they take forever and have these specific requests (which by the way people, it's fast food not a gourmet restaurant...get what's on the menu and remove the pickles if you don't want them) but come on McDonald's move it along. First of all, if you have 2 ordering stations, have them both up and running. Second of all, if you can't get it together and have the person's order ready when they get to the pick up window, make them park their car. That's what the parking spots are for. I have seriously never been more irritated and all I wanted was a simple coffee. PS. It wouldn't hurt for your employees to smile and not have a chip on their shoulder. read more
