Generally, it's OK as local McD's go. Service is inconsistent. But today, I gave up on placing an order. I went to the drive-thru. FOUR TIMES, the clerk asked me to repeat myself. And that's not an isolated incident. Get new headsets or teach them to turn up the volume. I guess this might be too much to ask- but take the staff to Chic-fil-A and let them observe the service provided at that establishment. read more

I went to the drive thru for breakfast around 7:45. There was an employee standing outside waiting to take my order (like at Chick-Fil-A). Order was placed, I drove up to pay. The employee taking my payment reconfirmed my order and was very pleasant. I drove up to the next window and my food was all ready to go. Literally the fastest and most professional service I have had at a fast food establishment in the past few years. Will definitely come back and hope to encounter this level of service again. While waiting for our food, the young lady working the drive thru asked us "do y'all not have anything better to do?". We were laughing amongst ourselves while, again, waiting for our food. A refund was suggested upon us to which we accepted at first. It wasn't until after she asked for our receipt and then the physical card that we simply asked for our food instead. What can you say about McDonald's? Some locations are newer, some older. Some more clean, some dirty. Some more professional, some less so. Therefore I typically don't bother writing a review for these places. So why this one? Architecturally middle aged, but the hard wood section gives it a bit more homeyness than the average McDs. It's cleaner than most and the service was prompt and friendly. The main reason I decided to write a review is the dinosaur theme. Out front you're greeted with a Brachiosaorus and T-Rex in a zoo like enclosure and inside you have faux dino-parts on display with descriptions. Nice work on taking a slightly different take on the sameness of the chain. Slow down here and just look around. It's cool enough for that. read more

I have lived in Oakwood for two years. Every time I pass McDonald's at around 11 pm, the line is very long, ridiculous....they have two lanes, but one is always closed. They have messed up several orders in the past month or so. Today in particular was a fish Filet Sandwich with light on the Tartar sauce. It looked as if they put 3 times the amount on it. I thinks for a McDonalds this location is one of the better ones. Me and my family visit this location on most Sunday mornings on the way to church to grab some breakfast. Its is always clean and it is fairly quick. Our orders are always prepared correctly and fresh. I very seldom eat any thing but there breakfast so for the rest of there menu ( lunch/ dinner) I do not have much feedback to share. Here's why I'm giving them five stars.... I eat so much McDonald's and it's like hit or miss. This is my first time to this McDonald's and it is a clean new McDonald's. The two seater cushioned chairs were cozy and a nice change from the plastic seats at older style McDonald's. The cashier was very friendly and knowledgeable about the new create your taste their rolling out. I came in after midnight on a weekday which historically means crappy service and crappy cold food at McDonald's. I had a 1/4 pounder with cheese "fresh" which they cooked for me fresh. A fish filet. And a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. It was all fresh and served to me promptly. I couldn't ask for any better from this chain. I just wish every McDonald's could keep there standards up! read more

I usually don't write reviews, but have been shorted items the last 3 times at the Oakwood, GA location. Today the lady at the pay window said I couldn't get bagels with the coupon I had. Told her I didn't order bagels, I ordered BEC biscuits. She said she would change it. When I got home, what do you think I had? BAGELS. Last time I was shorted a hash brown and 1 syrup.
