Oh... my... gosh... what have I stumbled upon?! How did I not know about The Lunch Counter, located just 10 minutes from my house and open since last December? I'm beyond excited about this spot. First off, the team here is AMAZING. The siblings who run the place moved here from Boston and are absolutely killing it. Their menu is simple but perfect--burgers, wings, subs, and sides like French fries, tater tots, and onion rings. Let's dive in. The burger? Perfect. A true smash burger with a crispy edge that reminded me of NFA Burger, but honestly... better. Why? The burgers are bigger, cooked to perfection with that crusty edge, and--wait for it--no line! I ordered, got a beeper pad, waited in my car, and 15 minutes later my food was ready and hot. Their wings? Now in my top 2. The Dawg House and The Lunch Counter are my go-to spots for wings in the north, hands down. I tried their dry lemon pepper and habañero mango--both absolutely delicious. I also tried The Boston sub. Think Philly cheesesteak, but not quite. It's more like a meat-lover's sub with the perfect meat-to-bun-to-cheese ratio. I can't recall every detail of what's in it, but I do know this sub is special. It's new, so not yet on the menu, but you have to try it when you visit! Their French fries and onion rings were both excellent, but those onion rings? Wow--so crispy and flavorful. Note: No indoor seating, but they have two outdoor tables with umbrellas if you want to eat there. Otherwise, everything is neatly packed for takeout. The service, the food, the way they cook their smash burgers and wings--everything here is top-notch. Check them out! Grab some food and enjoy with friends and family. Tell them Roli Eats sent you and let me know what you think!

Triple Smash All American. Yummy!! We were given free fries to taste. They were crispy and on point. Even better with the sauce.

This place was delicious! We were driving through and wanted to grab a bite to eat and it popped up near us so we decided to give it a try! It did not disappoint! The smash burger was so good! The couple working was very friendly. Only issues is there is no sitting inside. They do have tables outside. No public bathroom either but one at the gas station next door.

We drove almost an hour and a half to get a smash burger and some sides and let me tell you.....this is one of the BEST smash burgers you will put your lips on! The SBA (soft bun action) was on point! The staff...all super nice and we had a great conversation too. Since these are smash burgers I suggest getting the double. You won't be sorry. The flavor of these things is incredible. We are definitely going to make that drive again since they have other great things as well like regular and slaw dogs as well as wings made to order (which take about 18 mins just so you know) You will definitely be impressed with the whole experience when you go there. Enjoy!!!

A meal to remember!!!! Fantastic flavors and exceptional service! We tried several items from their menu, and each dish was nothing short of delicious. The TLC Frisco Melt and TLC Chopped Cheese were both standout hits, bursting with rich, satisfying flavors. We ordered hot honey and buffalo wings; they were perfectly cooked and full of flavor! The sides were equally impressive: the fries, tater tots, and onion rings were all crisp, golden, and seasoned to perfection, complementing the main dishes beautifully. The owners made a warm, welcoming atmosphere! I highly recommend The Lunch Counter for anyone looking for delicious food and outstanding service in a local setting. This spot is definitely worth a visit!

A friend recently gifted me a delicious frozen peach pie from Southern Baked Pie Company, I admit I…read morewas a little skeptical but I'm a sucker for pie so after a few days I decided to pop it in the oven and hoped for the best. I've eaten a lot of pie over the years, homemade, fresh baked from a bakery and from the freezer, this peach pie was one of the best peach pies I have ever ever ever eaten hands down. The crust and lattice work was amazing, the pie was loaded with larges slices of peaches folded into a slight tart filling and for me the most impressive feature of the pie besides the taste was the texture of the fruit which was still relatively firm instead of being mushy like you get in some fruit pies. I am definitely a fan of this bakery and fortunately for me I have a camping trip planned next month in very close proximity to them and will absolutely pay them an in person visit to see what other goodies they have to offer and to fill my freezer. Southern Baked Pie Company is definitely a company you should try...

For the sake of honesty, let me start by saying my initial experience with the Gainesville store…read morewas not awesome. BUT... Management made it right and I sincerely appreciate that effort even though I didn't expect or ask for anything like that to happen. The director of operations went above and beyond and it says a lot about a company when their upper management actually cares that much about one customer's experience. All I wanted was to make a listing error known after what I thought I ordered turned out to be something completely different. My issue was more than fixed by the DoO personally bringing me the pot pie I'd thought I'd ordered as well as a full sized key lime pie; and I'm so appreciative of the effort put forth to make things right. It was completely unexpected but a beautiful gesture just the same. With that said... My thoughts on the food? Cons: I do think it's a bit pricey for a pot pie or a pie in general. The filling needs to be a bit thicker. It was a tad too runny. Pros: Can I make a great pot pie from scratch at home? Yes. Did I have time to do that this week? No. Is mine as good as theirs? Filling wise? Maybe, however theirs did have a very nice flavor. But their crust is FABULOUS! And just so happens to be the best part of a pot pie, in my opinion and I humbly admit, in that realm, they have me beat by miles. We got the frozen, take and bake, which was super convenient. Directions were easy to follow. Just remove the plastic wrap, pop in the oven on 400 for 30 minutes and then lower temp to 375, bake again for an additional 50-60 minutes. Leaving me without having the usual mess I create when I make my own pot pie and after an incredibly busy Monday-Wednesday, I was so grateful! The key lime pie... all I can say is WOW!! I'm not a dessert baker and don't really eat dessert often but I could make an exception for that pie, ANY TIME!! It was just the right balance of tart and sweet, and so creamy! I also loved, even though this is probably an unpopular opinion, that they didn't cover the pie in meringue. Over all, initial error/experience aside, I'm very happy with the food and its quality, as well as the business ethics of the company as a whole. Would I do it again? Yeah, I think I would. It's a healthier option than fast food and even with the price being a bit high, I think it's worth it.
